[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] She had Barb saddled up, warmed up, and ready to go. Bailey Gallager was always excited when it came to competition time though, it was in her nature to be competitive. Her father was leading them to the shoot now, the class was so small but the teenagers was feeling good about her chances of placing, if not winning. In the chaos of the arena, she heard Leo White whoop and holler, causing Bailey to roll her eyes, "Silly Englishman..." She muttered under her breath, giving her grulla mare a good pat as the seconds ticked by. Barb knew what was up though, and she danced in place a little bit as Bailey sat deep in her seat and her father held on, unperturbed by the mare's antics.
And then, it was time. They turned the mare around, having her stare in the opposite direction of the arena. And as soon as they nod was given, Bailey's father let go of the reins. Automatically, the teenager hands zipped up the the reins for close contact as she swung Barb around, and they sprang forward down the shoot. Bailey leaned forward, giving her mare all the forward motion she needed to speed with a little encouragement as well. But Barb didn't need it, she'd been doing this for thirteen years. They swung around the first barrel and shot towards the next one, and then the final one. In all the chaos - she knew her mare might have tooted once or twice, but Bailey didn't care - Barb's farts were her plus one speed super power.
And apparently it paid off as they finished with 9.8 seconds. Bailey's jaw dropped as she heard the announcer, "Well shit, Barb! New record!" and with that, she gave that gruella mare all of the loving that she could muster. Her father congratulating her on the otherside, and the three of them walked back towards Blue Belle's trailer to hose down the mare and take her home.
[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] Bailey Gallagher arrived at the barn in the nick of time. She had one hell of a morning, some of the cows had managed to get close, and needed roundin' up. And then after that, she had to milk them and had a lack of help from her other two siblings who were 'too busy' with university studies. Yeah right. Bailey had also lost track of time poking around the barns in general, looking for a hidin' individual, but it would appear that he wanted to still remain a ghost for now. Guess that was fine with her, the young woman still hadn't told her parents about him even though they were leaving him plates of delicious food. Talk about freeloadin'.
That didn't matter though, not when she stepped through the doors of Blue Arces barn and it felt as if a force field shedded all her thoughts away. Today was a ridin' day, and she and Barb were going to knock the socks off Cassandra McLellan and send them running across the pastures without her boots. To be honest, Bailey was a little insulted that she needed to be schooled in 'basic's, th at last teacher she had must have left her a bad review. Stubborn. Willful. Cheater. Those were all words that came to mind when Bailey thought about her old coach, words hurled at her when she couldn't take some simple conversation any more with the teenager.
Whatever. Not everyone could mesh with Bailey Gallagher, and that was their fuckin' loss. She pulled Barb out to groom and saddle up, noticing the note left by Cassie, "Guess you and me will be kicking out some new dirt today, girl." She said, finishing up the bridle and talking care of the cinch, "Let's go, Barb." Bailey said with a grin as she grabbed her hat, putting it on her head and lead her grulla mare outside to arena now. It was't long before a pretty woman, looking picture perfect, in a long red blouse with wide boot cut jeans, "The one and only. I'm bout to become your favorite student, Miss McLean," Bailey said with a grin, "This here is Barb. My partner in crime."
Dark eyes looked to the arena now, eyeborws arching, "Man, that's quite the trickery you got goin' on there." This definlently was going to be an intereseting lesson. Sticking her foot into the stirup now, Bailey hoisted herself right up into the saddle, and started Barb walking along the arena now. Both girl and mare were still staring at the poles with interest as Bailey kept her reins slack but her heels squeezing the mare forward, "What do you want to know bout us anyways? Did you not get a review from whats her face?" Bailey called out now.
[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] Unlike some of the other guys and gals at Blue Arces, Isidora Flores did not immediately turn the other way when she caught site of Bailey, she stayed put and kept on walking towards her. Perhaps one could argue that Izzy was on her way out of Blue Arces while Bailey was on her way back in to Blue Arces as part of the reason. But, quite frankly, that seemed silly. She pulled Barb up short now, halting her gurella mare as the other pair drew within non-shouting distance now and stopped. A snort escaped Bailey's mare, as if she were debating of making an ugly show or not, before setting down, "Why - I am just enjoying the sunshine. It does loads for my skin."
Bailey wore a big ass smile, nearly fluttering her eyelashes as she spoke, pretending to soak up the sun. Of course though, the teenager was on a mission, a mission of opportunity now that the two girls stood there with their mares, "Well Izadorah, funny you should ask, I was kinda wonderin'," and boy, did Bailey put on a show as her dark eyes glanced over Izzy's full body now, eyeing that saddle, "How good you are at keeping that ass in a western saddle. Now, I know you do cross trainin which is why I ask - those english saddles are awfully slippery." It dawned on Bailey, that Isidora Flores could have a temper, so maybe it was best to be a bit more polite in her reasoning, "I ask, and because you asked, is that I just finished havin' some fightin words on the trail and I'm looking for beer pong teammates...with horses, if you catch my drift."
[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] Talk 'bout a rather weary looking look she was getting from Janie O'Hara - the girl down right looked like she wanted to keep a ten foot poll between them. Bailey wasn't sure why, but truth be told, the teenager never allowed other people's attitudes to stop her from getting what she wanted. He head still cocked now, her eyebrow arching a bit, "Why you lookin' at me like I got three heads, Jane-y?" Bailey really didn't think what she had said was that outlandish. Must be the accent. Her Appalachia tended to trip up a lot of these fine English people, "Nevermind," Bailey started, still blocking the door with her skinny, wirey frame, "Let me rephrase - I need you for my battle against those no good riders over at Seven Oaks."
Before Janie could start to ask some more silly questions, or ask her to repeat herself, Bailey continued on, her hands almost doing the talking as she explained, "I got into a fight with Ronan Slade - you know him, right? Angular face, kinda cute, dates one of the twins." Wait, she was getting distracted, "Anywho - we got into a fight, Ronan and I if ya tracking, and one thing lead to another, and we're doing a beer pong tournament, but with the horses. And quite frankly, you're one of the few people I trust here to stay in the saddle when a horse stops." Now all of that had to make sense to the other girl now, nevermind that Bailey had been talkin' more than a mile a minute with crazy hands.
She pushed herself rather gracefully from the door now, a dangerous cat, as she took a step or two towards Janie now, beaming a smile, "So - whadaya say? Join me? You're first on my list. Period. I got no others yet."
Name:BAILEY AMBROSIA GALLAGHER Horse: Badlands Barbie (Barb) Level: Intermediate Group or individual: Group (because bragging rights =P) Chosen week: April 29 - May 6th
[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] Oooooo she was so fucking mad, "Can you believe that boy, Barb?" A snort escaped her quarter horse, the grulla mare was clearly in agreement with her, "We'll show him." Funny enough, Bailey Gallagher couldn't entirely remember what she had just been fighting about with Ronan Slade just a mere half an hour ago, but what's done is done. They both laid down their gauntlets and neither one of them was going to chicken out - that much was made clear. The teenager was going to have to think this over - leave it to her to start a rubble with some of the Seven Oaks teenagers...okay, one teenage, but still! Shit didn't matter though, she was going to win.
Apparently Bailey had a lot on her plate all of the sudden, there was a whole lot of sneakin' going on in her life now. After all, she caught that boy in her parents' cow barn. Now she had this midnight team duel that she had to recruit for, and supposedly, the police department was going to breathe new life into the old fire investigation - caught new evidence or something like that. Well, the latter didn't really affect Bailey, but the rest did. She didn't know much about Regan, but his arrival may mean that she may loose her status as the baby in h the family, and honestly, Bailey didn't know how she felt about that. Guess it didn't matter much, knowing her parents, she was going to end up with a new sibling and she wasn't going to be a total bitch about it. Maybe.
"Barb, who you think we should recruit?" She asked now, thinking outloud as the mare plodded out of the woods and through the meadow now. They wouldn't be too far from Blue Arces now - as the meadow would give way to Naomi Clarke's land soon enough, "Well shit - if Ronan gets those twins, we have to get Jamie. Maybe Piper would defect, she rides here sometimes. And Sage? Shit, I bet none of them can sit in a western-" Bailey broke off now, and Barb's ears perked up. Someone was coming over the peak of the meadow now, and even the distance, that sooty palomino mare was all that was needed for identification, "Izadorah Floorez!" Her twang really butchered the girl's name, but shit, fuck if she cared. Bailey dropped the reins so she could wave wildly at the girl to catch her attention, "It's Bailey Gallagher!"
[attr="class","character-lavender-content"] Bailey Gallagher supposed she should have kept her mouth shut when she ran into Ronan Slade on the trails. Unfortunately, she didn't and left dealing with the aftermath because the teenager was too dumb to back down from a fight. She supposedly she should consider herself lucky that Seven Oaks was slim pickings for Ronan as far as western riders, but there was no doubt that he had enough friends who would be willing to help him out. Bailey had her own issues to deal with when it came to recruiting her own team. She had managed to brow beat Jameson Hughs into submission, just in case Ronan got to Sabrina, but she doubted his horse would be that good. The teenager still had three more people to convince.
That was actually why she was loitering in the feed and tack room - hardly suspicious, as her brown eyes kept a peel out for one person in particular. Bailey knew her top choice for this competition, the problem would be convincing her to join the fun. But anybody could be won over, and given how much that girl hung out with Molly Mac'Intosh, maybe some good ole flirting would do the trick. She really didn't know yet. Speaking of her target, she caught sight of that willowy blond walking by now, and Bailey opened the door fast and pounced, "Janie!"
She grabbed that girl so fast, she might as well been an angler fish catching her prey. Her hand wrapped around poor unspecting Janie O'Hara's arm and pulled her inside to the feed room, shutting the door behind them with a deadly thud as she blocked the path out. There was no escape, "Janie O'Hara," Bailey started now, placing her hand over her chest, "I, Bailey Gallagher, need you to join my midnight equestrian beer pong team."
Bailey Gallagher hated rain storms. She knew she was probably just about the only teenage girl in all of the United Kingdom, if not the whole universe, who probably hated them. To quote a marvel movie, while she was okay with thunder, she wasn't overly found of what followed after it. The young woman didn't know why, probably something traumatizing from when she was little. She also just hated how it disrupted everything - her chores, the cows, her horse, or heck, cutting the lights. Speaking of that, she was scribbling away at her homework when exactly that happened.
An angry sound escaped her - so annoying as she tossed her pen down. That wouldn't be the only thing that would cause her to angrily grown though: "Bailey! The cows are hollering!" It was no suggestion, it was a demand. Curses and damnations! Why'd she have to go out into the rain? Still, the teenager was still trying to win the daughter of the year award, "Alright! I'll go out." She shoved herself up now and away from her desk, stomping around and headed down to the main door, sticking her muck boots on and grabbing a rain jacket. Given the dark, Bailey lit a lantern, before heading out.
The rain was like sheets, the thunder overhead, the wind howling. How on earth did her parents hear the herd? Granted, those adults had a sixth sense when it came to their herd - Bailey couldn't deny that. She sped walk as fast as she could, wanting to get out of the rain as fast as possible. She got in through the barn doors now, and quickly shut them behind her. Funny. She didn't remember them being open. Hadn't she closed them before that storm came? The cows were shuffling about, making some sounds. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, yet, a few of the herd members under a section of the hayloft seemed more annoyed than the rest.
Bailey frowned, thinking about those plates of her mother's that she so diligently left out safe for today, because of the storm. Granted, all of those plates had been by the house. The young woman traded her usual stomping for sneaking around now, making her way to the ladder and hauling herself up. Once her lantern was perched up top, Bailey eyes were peering from the safety of the ladder, "I know you're out there! Why don't you go on and show yourself!" Watch, it was going to be nothing more than a damn raccoon.

Bailey has dark eyes and dark hair with an olive skin complexation. Her smile can be quite infectious, and she knows how to use it to light up a room when combined with her twangy Appalachian accent.

While the state of her birth is unknown, based off of her accent, any would guess North Carolina. Her childhood was trailer park at best, which is where she learned to be scrappy and learned how to survive out in the wild from the rough and tumble. However, her father was a cowboy and that counted for something. Everything took a change though when her parents packed up and moved out west.
Her father found new work on a cattle farm, and the family drifted from ranch to ranch, trailer park to trailer park. Bailey loved hanging out on the ranches though, she loved the animals - mainly the horses and cows (she wasn't a big fan of sheep or goats who tried to eat her shoe laces). She'd often try and learn how to do things merely from watching her father and the other cowboys work, fearless as them, and it counted big in her heart when staring down a cow or a horse or even a stubborn mule. Everything was going so well, until it didn't.
Bailey's father was let go from his current work, once again prompting them to move out. He got work at a prestigious ranch, although little did he know what it meant to be a ranch hand there - it required dirty work. He went along with it at first, but soon a line was crossed that he didn't agree with, and it cost him is life and he was dumped over a ravine. The ranch owner and his main hand said that Bailey's father ran away. Her mother didn't agree, and that caused her to sniff around - one day, she didn't come home as well. Bailey was by herself in that trailer park, and a month went by before somebody finally called child's services.
She was picked up, whisked away. Thankfully, it wasn't long before the Gallagher's took her in. They heard of her story, nobody had to say what happened to her parents other than where her father had worked, and the dots were connected. Ironically enough, the Gallaghers had sold their farmlands and herd within the United States, wanting to start anew elsewhere. They didn't like the changes that were coming to their state, nor did they care for the favoritism that the governor and governing body gave to that one ranch. They wanted out, and took their family with them.
That was how Bailey ended up with a new last name, a new family, and in a new land - the united kingdom exact. It wasn't exactly easy for her, everything was big and new, and she seemed to stick out like a sore thumb amongst her siblings and the people of Hickstead. Still, she didn't let that deter her. Something must have worked out, because now at seventeen, Bailey Gallagher is doing a pretty good job at thriving in her life. Although there is now a mystery at foot on the property, someone's been rummaging around and Bailey can't help but to think the animals are keeping secrets. Her mother has been making an extra plate and leaving it out, and it certainly ain't for no dog or cat. It's only a matter of time before Bailey catches someone or something in the act of eating off that plate.
