GENERAL !
- Respect is the number one thing on this site. respect the admins, the members, and the guests accordingly.
- make sure that you check the face claims before posting your application, including the reserves. If you want a celeb that is already taken, PM the member using it to see if they need a twin. Faceclaims are first come, first served!
- we run on real time on the board - as in if it's 14th may where you currently live, then it's the 14th may on the site and for the characters! it's easier this way and then the ageing process isn't too fast and is much more realistic. You are welcome to age up your characters as you see fit though!
- Be sure to tell us when you are going to be away, just so everyone knows if you're coming back someday! The absence board is located in the chat board.
- This site has no rating - you are welcome to thread and ICC as you please all mature-rated themes however please remember to be tasteful in your topics and respectful to those who may not be as open to dabbling in 18 plus themes. If you are unsure or concerned, feel free to pop me a PM!
- One account per character! if making more than one character, you need to make separate accounts. once the account is made, change the display name to all caps. example - LILY HONEY WHITE.
- We have no character limits - make as many as you want but we do ask that you only keep as many as you can handle and try to have them all active before making more.
- Please ensure that you post in the claims threads located in the character essentials - sign ups, who's who and claims board after you make your characters. It's the easiest way of keeping track of everyone's characters!
- Have fun! after all, that is what we are here for right? We are super chill here - no activity checks, no posting rules, no word counts just try to match what you get.
ROLEPLAYING !
- No godmodding or powerplaying. Everyone hates it, it annoys people and it's unfair on the character's RPer.
- We no longer have a word count, but try to aim to match what your partner writes so you're giving them something to go off of - we do have a word counter in the side board if you want to keep an eye on how much you're writing. We also have no activity requirements - post as frequently as you feel able to - and do not run activity checks. We're a relaxed, easy going site just here to have some and create character dramas!
- This is a real-life based RPG. Therefore we like to keep things real on here. Drama is absolutely okay, we love drama, but no magic powers, no vampires or shape-shifters or unicorns etc.
- we don't want any Mary Sue's on this site. Everyone has weaknesses, even the prettiest of people. If you would like to check, the test can be found here
- We have ICC's - lots of them - so feel free to use and abuse them, just try to play nice in there with everyone. Sharing is caring after all.
- Posts must use proper grammar, text talk is allowed in chatbox though please try to use proper speak. There's a spell checker, use it! If you want help with your posts you are always welcome to ask - none of us bite!
GRAPHICS !
- No X-rated pictures or anything offensive in anyway. You will be warned.
- In posts and apps, images must not stretch the page. The maximum width is 500, and whilst there's no length limit let's try not to exceed 500 as well please.
- Please credit everyone that you get images from, it is only polite. I don't want anyone at caution or any other graphic resource site coming over here saying that someone didn't credit them.
- If you can make graphics, and want a board to test them out/make templates for people please give me a PM (:
HUMANS !
- Must be accepted before you can post, icc, rp via pm or make claims with them. We ask you to wait in order to check over the app properly and make sure there are no issues.
- Characters under 13 are not permitted to have PB's - this is PB TOS, apologies. You also do not have to create a separate account for under 13's. If you'd prefer to keep the child and parent separate then you can create different accounts for them if you like.
- In competitions, riders who win first, second or third win a certain amount of points, these showpoints will be updated in the rankings and the person and horse with the most amount will win a prize after the end of every year.
- Can be any kind of person you want them to be! We like diversity here so make them young or old, fun or quirky, give them any kind of job that fits for them (it doesn't have to be a job from the job claim) etc. They DO NOT need to be horsey to be here! Hickstead is a large town, with plenty to offer for people who aren't into horses.
- Can not be based on real people. Sorry, but thems the rules. If you need help with a face claim, just ask us and we'll be happy to help!
- SCHOOL SYSTEM - as most people don't understand the English school system i'll explain. Preschool/nursery = ages 3 and below, Primary school = ages 4/5-11/12, Secondary school = 12/13-15/16, College = 16/17-17/18 and University = 18+. On this site, the University is both a college and a uni, therefore any teenagers that continue onto college will take classes at the university. School is compulsory up to 18 years old.
HORSES !
- Can be Rped either as a main character OR you can have them as a secondary character - in the background/only rp'd as your human's equine from their account. If you only want your horse to be a background character, then you do not need to create a bio or separate account for them!
- Can get loose if gates and doors aren't shut properly, so make sure your humans lock the gates.
- Can be any discipline, breed, height and colour – we love variation and originality!
- Cannot talk to their human or other horses, but of course can whinny, snort, whicker, neigh, and make any sound a normal horse makes. They can also do any normal thing a horse does - rear, buck, bite, kick and have fights.
OOC !
- No fighting in the occ boards or the chatbox!! If you have a problem with another member, take it to the PMs and/or contact an admin. We have a discord for people once they join as we chat predominantly on there.
- No ic posting in the ooc boards, unless it is in a game that requires that.
