While she is adapt at playing both sides of the game, she much prefers playing defense. Pfannkuchen can be mare-ish and temperamental, to the point of where Archie prefers that she get let out with geldings rather than mares. She tends to believe that she's top horse in the pasture, and both of her 'brothers' have made it easy for her to believe. She enjoys being doted upon by Archie and other humans, but she can't be trusted with children since both sides of the equation (Pfannkuchen and said Child) are unpredictable. She is best suited for adults if Archie lends her out. Pfannkuchen loves to travel and load up into the travels, mainly because she has figured out that it means they are going to competitions. She can be a mare of habit and any disruption to her routine can annoy her, especially when her treats are forgotten.

He's the sort of gelding that seems to believe that the world revolves around him and typically gets annoyed when he's ignored. This is especially prudent when he's sitting in his stall, and he'll make his presence known. To the outsider, it looks like Archie's other two ponies appear to be haphazardly enduring him, but he does have a strong bond with his 'brother and sister'. Waffel loves to work, and when he's not working, he loves to chase around a giant inflatable ball in the pastures. He's also been known to take his stall jolly ball and try to smack people with it. The farm where he was born and bred appeared to keep birds and perhaps had a migration issues since Waffel is not particularly fond of large birds, and will do his best to turn the other way when they're around and sprint for the hills.

When the young woman pointed out to him that sharing the arena was no big deal, considering it was just the two of them instead of six people, Archie felt a little foolish given how big the indoor arena was, "Ah...well, just er, trying to be considerate I guess." After all, he didn't want to be one of those jerks that just barged into the arena like he owned the place and wrecked it. The young man was startled when there was another inquiry, "Ah! Not english, no. German. Er, sorry, it's my native language. Forget I'm not there sometimes." And it certainly was a good thing that he was not into girls since this conversation was carrying on like he had no game. It seemed to be heading that way as well, since the other rider simply shrugged him off and went back to work.
So Archie and Waffel made their way over to their staked spot of the arena now before coming to a halt. He adjusted the lunge rope to one hand, getting it into position so it could easily slide out of his hand the more that his gelding walked out. When the girl confirmed that she was at university, he wasn't too surprised, "Ah, well, I'll be seeing you next semester then." His hazel eyes looked to his horse now, "Waffel, Aus," he said and flicked the lunge whip lightly. Not a peep escaped Waffel now as he began to move out, and Archie lined himself up to make the 'pie' that his instructors so fondly called the correct position between him and the horse. The young man made certain to still keep his ears peeled though for any additional conversation between him and the other ride.
And good thing he did, since he got a name, "Izzy, huh? Is that short for something?" He asked, his eyes still locked on Waffel, who appeared to be walking a little lazily, so he gave some encouragement. Soon enough, he got that active walk and one ear pointed in towards him, "And yeah. I'm pretty proud of their names. And that's okay with Queenie being your only horse. The problem with having three horses is that I only have one butt to put in the saddle, when I need two others." Figuring out the rythm of three horses came naturally now, but Archie remember how tough it had been in the beginning. Each time he added a new one to the squad, it threw everything off. No doubt it would again should he add a fourth, "Either way, it's great to meet you both. And not long, maybe a month or two? Yourself?"
Thankfully, he hadn't really lost his mind post move. Neither had his sister. Although perhaps the clock was ticking given that Frankie had managed to bust out of her rehab, "Interior design? That's different." Archie flicked the whip again, asking for the trot which Waffel obliged him, "How did you get into that?" At her latter question, Archie almost wanted to cringe, "Uh, I have another older sister. Two, Leonie, who's at Uni, and...Frankie. Who...well, she's Frankie." The young man didn't really know what to say, so just figured he'd plow forward into the conversation, "You?"

The pair in the arena looked like they were off to a good start, to the point of which Archie almost felt bad about interrupting their time together with his question, but quickly tossed it aside. Thankfully, his appearance did not appear to perturb her, given that Archie had met his fair share of arena sharing snobs before, nor did her horse seem phased by the arrival of another. If Waffel had been intrigued by the pair, he did not show it, and remained perfectly still. The slight lower of his head made the young man wonder if his gelding had decided to fall back asleep just in a matter of seconds.
As his voice carried across the arena now, the young woman turned in her saddle and eyed him. Now this was the make or break it moment. As she spoke, and confirmed everything was okay, a sigh of relief escaping him. Honestly, he hadn't even realized that he had been holding his breath in anticipation of rejection, "Ah! Thank you!" Archie called out now, "We can take the left side," given that she was already occupying the right for the time being, "Lass uns gehen, Waffel." The pair made their way across the arena now at a brisk pace, for fear she should change her mind.
Now in their own little corner, he began to set himself up when more words escaped the girl, "Trying to get a horse in before school?" Green eyes looked over to her now, as Waffel used this distraction to close his eyes once more, and Archie simply smiled, "Yes! I'm in my last year at Secondary, so the timing doesn't all for an actual ride." That and he was probably one of the few seventeen year old boys in the world who preferred a shower longer than five minutes, "My name's Archie, this is Waffel, one of my polo ponies. I also own Mokka and Pfannkuchen if you've seen them in their stalls." After all, might as well do introductions if they were going to talk and work at the same time. He was always on the hunt for new friends given the sudden relocation, "Do you go to the University? You might know my sister, Leonie Wagner."

Would his mother kill him for leaving at the break of dawn to go visit his horses before school? Probably. Did he care? Well, yes, he did, but he Archie Wagner was feeling a little rebellious this morning - a feeling he did not often come by when it came to his parents, that was more his sisters' departments. So away he went, carefully sneaking through the house and making it downstairs, swiping the keys to the Mercedes, and the young man was out the door. While Hickstead didn't seem to know anything about heavy traffic, Archie still somehow made it there in record time.
Getting out of the car, the bitter cold was in the air with his breath. There was no doubt in his mind that the Breakfast Club would be in their stalls this morning - Blue Arces making the call to keep them inside, like they had done for all of winter. Archie didn't mind the snow, he tended to find absolute comfort in it. The polo ponies were a mixed bag. Mokka and Pfannkuchen tended to dislike the cold, even though they had lived in Germany, Archie had bought them in Argentina which clearly was a completely different atmosphere for the horses. Thankfully, Waffel, while born and bred in the United States, had been accustomed to harsher weather. So that was who he decided to pull.
All three of the polo ponies lazily greeted him, still deciding that the warmth of their stall and the early morning were the combination for being quiet. Waffel lazily came out of the stall, and while in the cross ties waiting grooming, fell back asleep on Archie. Laughter escaped him as he worked his way through the brushes, finally having to disturb the chestnut gelding to clean out his hooves. Archie swung his lunge line over his spare shoulder and grabbed a pole, before clipping the regular lead rope to his horse, "Shall we do a bit of lunging before I have to go?" No way could he ride and make it back to home to get showered up and clean before high school.
As they walked into the arena, it looked like Archie hadn't been the only person who decided to get a ride in before school. Granted, the rider may be in college, it was sorta hard sometimes to sort out his fellow high school kids from the college kids. But Archie had never seen her at Secondary, so that knocked one school right off of the bat, and unless she went to Molly's school, the teenager was inclined to believe that this girl was older than him. Hmmmm, maybe lunging would not happen this morning and it would just be fun and games, "Good morning!" he called out, his accent already giving away that he wasn't a native to England, "Sorry to bother you, are you okay if Waffel and I join you in the arena? We were just going to lunge since I can't get a full ride in this morning."

Somewhere in the back of Archie's mind did it just register that Leonie had called him a jerk for yelling while she sat literally less than five feet from him, but there was more pressing matters now. The fact that his eldest sister had just waltzed into their house was putting his little seventeen year old brain on overload and he was utterly flabbergasted by it, "Now now Archibald, didn't mother ever tell you it's rude to stare?" That actually got him to snap out of it, mainly because she was poking fun at him by using his full name. A groan escaped him, "You know to call me Archie ," he complained. For two seconds, it felt like the olden days of yore, with Frankie poking fun of him and he was trying to think of some witty recovery but falling flat on his face, and then Leonie came in like a sniper, "You can't tell me you're cured."
He did his best to not cringe, but it was def a good verbal sucker punch, "Leo. Mayb-" But it didn't matter, because Frankie Wagner never went down without a fight, "Oh honey, there's nothing to cure. So, where is mother dearest?" Green eyes looked between his two sisters, uncertain of what was going to go down. Thank the fucking stars that their mother wasn't home or else she'd probably be having conniptions right now and blame them on something related to her health that they somehow caused. The typical European standard, "Mom's out," he responded, still thinking over her words. Archie kept on rolling over her words in his head" there's nothing to be cured. He doubted a doctor would have said that, even the teenager witnessed what happened at that gala went Frankie came in and collapse, "Wait...did you just...leave? On your own accord?" Holy shit, Frankie was back to being an outlaw.

"Mum would quite happily have me starve if the side effect didn't include 'dying'." Oof, someone was feeling a little sassy over their mother. Truth be told though, Archie wasn't surprised. He was lucky being the baby of the Wagner family, it meant that his sisters took the brunt of their parent's demands for perfection - especially Leonie now as heiress apparent to the empire, "I'm sure she doesn't mean to starve you per say," he offered now, seeing the look of regret pass across his sister's face, "Plus, she can't hear you. You know you can say anything freely with me." Archie could not help but to lighten up when Leonie commented that he was free to help himself. Naturally though, it would appear that as he reached for her pizza, she was quick to snatch it away, "the box, not my pizza slice." And for good measure, she threatened him with a fork.
A sigh escaped the young man, rolling his eyes, "Really?" he asked, but even in this moment of denial, he could not help but to grin, "Fine. Fine. I'll be respectful. I'll cover for you by eating your food. Really, you should be thanking me." His stomach certainly thanked her. Once he hit fourteen, it was like he was always hungry and nothing could fill him up. His mother actually complained about the amount of alpine milk jugs that he went through in a week. Laughter actually escaped him at the snort that escaped his sister, mainly because it was not one he heard very often was rather, by their parents standard, undignified, "Well, it wasn't for the stellar company. Was mum upset?" Archie did his best to feign an insulted look, pulling back from the table and placing a hand on his chest, "Am I not stellar company? Don't I cancel out Mom?" And then, the joke was up, as he relaxed and took a huge bite out of his new lunch, "Huh? Nah, nothing I couldn't handle. Maybe just warn her next time. You are the future after all," he said jokingly, "Do you like it here then? Have you...met anyone interesting?" In the back of his brain, he could not help but to wonder if Leonie had run into their cousin.

Archie sat on the couch with his iPad, flipping back and forth between contemplations for adding a forth polo pony to his squad and spying on the local club's website. It had been weird being ripped up from Germany not all too long ago due to his eldest sister. The young male was still trying to adjust to living in the tiny community of Hickstead which felt so quiet compared to Bremen. Even stranger, it didn't have that old architecture like Germany did, making it quaint instead of fairytale like. At least there wasn't much difference when it came to the food selection, with a heavy emphasis on meat and carbs still, and just like Bremen, when you headed outside of the city limits, it was nothing but horse country.
In the back of his mind, Archie knew there were other factors that might make Hickstead slightly more interesting than Germany. He was a different person over there. Away from his parent's empire, it made it easier to be himself verses the version that his parents desired him to be. Yes, he still had the polo ponies, and he still rode because that took over a major part of himself, but he didn't feel like he had to be cold or distant around people. He didn't have to be Archibald Barron Wagner. He could just be Archie. Heck, he could even be Wags. Not only that, but in his short amount of time of riding at Blue Arces, he was already making several friends which got him out of the house more often than not.
Outside, there was the faint sound of a car and a door shutting. The male paid no mind to it, figuring that it was their mother coming home. Maybe he should warn his sister, "Leo!" He yelled out, figuring she was upstairs in her room, "Mom's home!" And yet, when the front door opened, it was not his mom's voice that he heard. Green eyes snapped up from the iPad almost immediately as he stared at young brunette who walked in through the door. In fact, he was certain his jaw fell off and was hanging out in his lap now, "Frankie?" Funny. He didn't hear anything from his mom about her coming home from rehab which meant....holy shit.

It was funny, when Leonie had not shown up at home for lunch, his mom had panicked and packed him a lunch to take to her - never mind he had also been hungry. And yet, when he arrived at the Hickstead University campus to try and find her, Leonie texted him that she was at the cafeteria. A sigh escaped Archie when he read the text before taking a side eye at the Kate Spade lunch box in his hands. Guess he would be stuck eating whatever his mom packed his older sister. Knowing her, it was probably some grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap with reduced fat dressing and something else disgustingly health. Green eyes took in the university grounds for a moment, trying to remind myself which way exactly was the cafeteria before it came back to him. That and some student saw how confounded he looked and pointed him in the right direction with instructions.
Archie managed to slide right into the building without a student ID and when he came to the lunch lady with the scanner, he managed to BS his way past her with that Wagner charm - something about misplacing his ID but happy to pay for literally a meal and headed on his way in. Green eyes kept peeled for the one familiar face. Or maybe two faces since his discovery of Alexi being alive and well. Then, he spotted her because what other girl eats pizza with a fork and a knife just like how they were taught. Laughing a little to himself, he went over to join her. The young male slid in across from his sister and her pizza now, plopping that stupid Kate Spade bag right in front of her before speaking in German, "You know, Mom thought you were dying of starvation and here I find you with a wonderful slice of pizza."
He unzipped the lunch box now and playfully knocked it over and sure enough, some sort of healthy chicken wrap came tumbling out along with carrots and celery. Archie started at it before sighing and popping hte container lid off, "Although now I see why you choose to eat here instead of at home with me and Mom."

He has a mop of light brown hair that is kept short and smooth along the sides of his head, but he allows the top to fluff out a little bit for stylistic purposes. Despite this, he's still managed to have a handle on things but he's learned very quickly where to put up walls and when to take them down. With his parents and the high society, Archie comes off as diplomatic, closed off, and collected. He knows when to flash the smile to win people over for himself or for his parents. His teammates and friends can see the shift when his parents enter the room or he's forced to go to their banquets or parties. He's also been known to put on this face for competitions and the hereafter interviews. As soon as he's out of sight from his parents though, its a whole different ball game. School, the pool, the barn - doesn't matter, Archie is that playful, ready for adventure teenager. He tries very hard to be social with everyone he can, just so they know that he's normal and tries hard to be there for people. Unfortunately, his shifts between faces tend to give people whiplash and it's earned him a few heated arguments and break ups - being accused of living a double life. Archie can't help himself and often gets aggravated with this sort of topic which leads him to be argumentive and prone to shutting down. You'll know you've lost him when he leaves the room for good.
the history
father • Fritz Amery Wagner; 51; CEO to a Major Hotel Business mother • Romy Ida Wagner; 47; Chocolatier & novice Equestrian siblings • Ravanna "Anna" Wagner, 24, Older Sister, Socialite & Heiress ----- Wagner, 19, Older Sister, Equestrian & Heiress important people • GRIFFIN SKY KELLER - cousin OLIVER TIMOTHY DEÁK - future love; he doesnt know it yet HARPER JANE O'HARA - future friend; doesnt know it yet MOLLY ELODIE MAC'INTOSH - future friend; doesnt know it yet hometown • Bremen, Germany overall history • Archie, like all of his siblings, was born in the quaint but industrial city of Bremen, Germany. The Wagners had numerus reasons for living there, but foremost was the city's rising commercial and industrial commence which was good for their business. In addition, Bremen is also close to many established breeding farms for reputable horse lines given Romy Wagner's hobby activity for equestrianism - a sport she graduated managed to push two of her children successfully into. The Wagners are considered a power family in Bremen, their empire built on commence and factory workers along with their ties to the Liechtenstein family by blood and lineage. They keep their hold on Bremen by always making sure to give back to the community and they put on a show while doing it.
Fritz and Romy have three children together: Ravanna, their middle child, and Archie. All of whom they have raised in their own image - their mother having a firmer hand in what their likes and interest would be. In the Wagner's eyes, their eldest turned out to be the disappointment and soon set their sights on their second daughter and Archie for grooming for their empire. Archie hardly had any room to complain about his childhood, both of his parents doted upon him whenever they had time in their busy lives however they also had say in his activities and what he should do for fun. He had to dress a certain way when company was over, he had to have all the proper etiquette down and who all of his father or mother's business partners were or who the target of the evening was.
Outside of the parties, his mother pushed him and his sister into the horse world at a very young age, they were on a saddle as soon as it was safe to do so. To her - other sports, were beneath something such as equestrianism. It was proper and matched their noble stature. As he grew, Archie had taken a liking to Polo and its cousin, Polo Lacrosse. It was rugged, aggressive, and required a certain physicality. The horses or 'ponies' matched also - solid, athletics, high tolerance,, and most of all - bravery. As soon as his sport was decided, the Wagners gave him all the best horses and trainers they could find, putting him on course towards his nationally ranked titles and stardom. The same went to his middle sister, while Ravanna spent her time getting into planning and partying.
As he grew older, Archie began to notice how restrictive his parents where and how he felt like he was being suffocated under their rule. He suspected that was why his oldest sister was the way she was and often took to rebelling. Both he and his middle sister knew they had to remain in their parents favor though, refusing to deviate from the path. School became their sanctuary - where they could be themselves, their true selves and express themselves in ways they couldn't do and explore other activities in their lives that didn't revolve around business politics, grand parties, and horses. Archie always thrived in school and took to water polo as a second activity, feeling it related to his own love for horse polo - rugged, aggressive, physical - plus the pool was nice for his joints.
Archie also took to noticing boys more as well. Sure, he dated some girls but something always felt off or there was more to be desired. He couldn't put his finger on it until he realized that he in fact - only liked boys. Surprisingly, his parents did not seem to care - he probably had the forward leaning of German politics to thank for that and counted his blessings that his parents didn't see it as a weakness for their empire or his polo career. His parents live did take a toll on his dating life - boys he dated just didn't seem to understand that he could be himself at school but a completely different person when under the watchful eye of his parents or the media. They wanted him to break free and Archie would refuse - he couldn't break ranks from his family or their desires. His middle sister was the same way.
Recently, Ravanna caught herself in a total scandal from partying - too much drinking and made an embarrassment of herself at a club. The media caught hold of it and it wasn't long before it was popping up on social media and even made a column in the newspaper. The damage was done and the Wangers were quit to dispense damage control. Unfortunately, some of that damage control ended up seeping into Archie and his other sister's lives. They were uprooted from Germany, Romy Wagner determined to get all three of her children out of the spotlight until everything was firmly blown over - which meant hiding Ravanna until she faced sobriety and she couldn't have the media peppering her children about that. Fritz decided he would remain in Germany to hold down the fort. Doing research - Romy Wagner settled on Hickstead, England for their sabatical. Quaint, adorable, a budding dessert town, with school and equestrian opportunities. They only just touched down in England recently and Romy trusted her two younger children into the wilderness of the town called Hickstead.
