Archie sat on the couch with his iPad, flipping back and forth between contemplations for adding a forth polo pony to his squad and spying on the local club's website. It had been weird being ripped up from Germany not all too long ago due to his eldest sister. The young male was still trying to adjust to living in the tiny community of Hickstead which felt so quiet compared to Bremen. Even stranger, it didn't have that old architecture like Germany did, making it quaint instead of fairytale like. At least there wasn't much difference when it came to the food selection, with a heavy emphasis on meat and carbs still, and just like Bremen, when you headed outside of the city limits, it was nothing but horse country.
In the back of his mind, Archie knew there were other factors that might make Hickstead slightly more interesting than Germany. He was a different person over there. Away from his parent's empire, it made it easier to be himself verses the version that his parents desired him to be. Yes, he still had the polo ponies, and he still rode because that took over a major part of himself, but he didn't feel like he had to be cold or distant around people. He didn't have to be Archibald Barron Wagner. He could just be Archie. Heck, he could even be Wags. Not only that, but in his short amount of time of riding at Blue Arces, he was already making several friends which got him out of the house more often than not.
Outside, there was the faint sound of a car and a door shutting. The male paid no mind to it, figuring that it was their mother coming home. Maybe he should warn his sister, "Leo!" He yelled out, figuring she was upstairs in her room, "Mom's home!" And yet, when the front door opened, it was not his mom's voice that he heard. Green eyes snapped up from the iPad almost immediately as he stared at young brunette who walked in through the door. In fact, he was certain his jaw fell off and was hanging out in his lap now, "Frankie?" Funny. He didn't hear anything from his mom about her coming home from rehab which meant....holy shit.

Leonie had tucked herself on the sofa alongside her brother. She'd actually finished her coursework for the week and had a chance to read for pleasure for a change. It wasn't anything particularly exciting, but she'd picked up Outlander after seeing adverts for the TV show and had been surprisingly sucked into the story. She had taken to spending a fair bit of time split between the uni and home, but a lot of it was often alongside her brother. She wasn't sure if it was an unconscious comfort thing - that whilst she was more extrovert than introvert, it was quite a shock to the system to uproot from German to England, to find out your sister had completely lost her shit and gone flying off the rails, and she was finding it easier to adjust by keeping her younger brother in sight. She had one eye on him in general at Uni, wanting to make sure he settled in okay and didn't find any trouble. So far it had been very predictably quaint quiet town life - a few shoulders rubbed the wrong way as they settled in amongst the other rich and fancy, but no drama.
She heard the door at the same time as her brother, her ears - exceptionally attuned to the subtle - pricked to hear the sound of the car. "Leo!" Leo in question, winced and dropped her book with a thud to cover her ears. "Mom's home!" She frowned, "Ouch," She muttered, bending at the waist to retrieve her book from the floor and refind her place, contemplating throwing the 800 page tome at the back of his head. "I'm right here, jerk." Though there was nothing in the insult as she sighed and used a bookmark to place her page, carefully putting the book aside. Considering the layout of the room, he might not have noticed her curl up on the small sofa settled into a little nook beside the expansive and impressive book case. Still, it didn't hurt for him to crane his neck and check before he busted ear drums.
Leonie rose to her feet, with every intention of greeting her mother and offering her a hand with whatever she might be bringing in with her. Only for it not to be their mother after all. Her eyebrows rose, disappearing into the neatly trimmed edges of her bangs, as such was her shock. "Frankie?" It took her a moment to recover from her own shock but Archie's voice confirming that she wasn't losing her mind and was genuinely seeing the person in front of her. "What is it this time?" Rude, she knew, but she couldn't help the words slipping out past her somewhat dodgy mouth to brain filter. "You can't tell me you're cured."
Francesca sat in the back of a taxi as she made the shorty journey from town to the new family property. She had managed to swindle some money for a cab from her long lost cousin which saved her from having to use her legs as transportation. Running into her cousin had been a coincidence but now she was wondering if her parents had an inkling he had been living there. It would definitely be something to bring up with her siblings. As the car pulled into the driveway, she took a good look at the house for the first time. It wasn't as extravagant as their house back home in Germany but it would do. When the car rolled to a stop, she sighed, half wishing she had brought a drink with her to ease her nervous stomach. She really wasn't in the mood to be yelled at by her mother with the whole 'you're a disappointment who brings shame on this family' spiel. She'd heard it a thousand times before. It may have been the truth but she was tired of hearing it.
Frankie paid the driver and got out of the car, heading up to the large front door. It had only been two weeks. She could do this. She had gone months without seeing her family but this time was different. The last time she'd seen her siblings, she had passed out in front of them, almost dying. Her parents hadn't let them visit while she had been in hospital then the second she had landed in England, she had been sent straight to rehab. She rested a hand on the door handle, suddenly feeling like a little girl again. But just like back then, there wouldn't be anyone to comfort her now.
She inhaled deeply, giving herself a mental pep talk in order to plaster on her usual façade. The personality made for the outside world to protect her surprisingly fragile mind. Frankie pushed open the door, taking in the well decorated hallway - of course her mother had gotten the place up to standards before they'd arrived. She heard the voices of her siblings as she closed the door behind her. "Frankie?" She turned back around to see her brother, smirking a little at the gobsmacked look on his face. "Now now Archibald, didn't mother ever tell you it's rude to stare?" She chastised jokingly. "What is it this time?" She heard the voice of her sister and just about stopped her eyes from rolling. Well it seemed like all the wagner children lost their manners when mummy wasn't home. "You can't tell me you're cured." She curled her lips into a slight smirk. "Oh honey, there's nothing to cure." She said, taking off her sunglasses. "So, where is mother dearest?"
Somewhere in the back of Archie's mind did it just register that Leonie had called him a jerk for yelling while she sat literally less than five feet from him, but there was more pressing matters now. The fact that his eldest sister had just waltzed into their house was putting his little seventeen year old brain on overload and he was utterly flabbergasted by it, "Now now Archibald, didn't mother ever tell you it's rude to stare?" That actually got him to snap out of it, mainly because she was poking fun at him by using his full name. A groan escaped him, "You know to call me Archie ," he complained. For two seconds, it felt like the olden days of yore, with Frankie poking fun of him and he was trying to think of some witty recovery but falling flat on his face, and then Leonie came in like a sniper, "You can't tell me you're cured."
He did his best to not cringe, but it was def a good verbal sucker punch, "Leo. Mayb-" But it didn't matter, because Frankie Wagner never went down without a fight, "Oh honey, there's nothing to cure. So, where is mother dearest?" Green eyes looked between his two sisters, uncertain of what was going to go down. Thank the fucking stars that their mother wasn't home or else she'd probably be having conniptions right now and blame them on something related to her health that they somehow caused. The typical European standard, "Mom's out," he responded, still thinking over her words. Archie kept on rolling over her words in his head" there's nothing to be cured. He doubted a doctor would have said that, even the teenager witnessed what happened at that gala went Frankie came in and collapse, "Wait...did you just...leave? On your own accord?" Holy shit, Frankie was back to being an outlaw.

The look on her sister's face told her everything she needed to know. The sister walking in was exactly the same woman that had been forced out the door in the first place. "Leo. Mayb-" Leonie cut him off with a sharp glance. "No, Arch, she-" and then she in turn was cut off by Frankie. "Oh honey, there's nothing to cure." Leonie raised an accompanying eyebrow and looked Frankie over. "So, nothing's changed then. Another waste of people's money and time spent on you for you to throw it all away." She snorted and couldn't help but roll her eyes. Sure, it had been all of thirty seconds, but the manner in which Frankie had arrived spoke volumes to Leonie. She'd learnt nothing and it had all been pointless. As always, the family revolved around the eldest and her needs, and she damned it all to hell. Leonie was getting real sick of the same old record playing whenever Frankie walked into a room.
"So, where is mother dearest?" Leonie pressed her lips together to avoid a torrent of unpleasant words from breaking loose. She had a little more composure than that and she wasn't going to let Frankie waltz in and needle her into being something she wasn't. Fur was already well and truly ruffled and the hackles were up, but she didn't actually want an all out war. "Mom's out," She heard Archie respond, returning to her seat instead to cool off before she boiled over completely. Usually her temper was cool and relatively even but something about her older sister really blew the top off at moments like these. "Wait...did you just...leave? On your own accord?" Leonie sighed and gave a slight shake of her head at her brother's naivety, tucking a wayward piece of hay behind her ear. "Of course she did, Arch. Frankie does what Frankie wants, what's a consequence?" she arched a brow, tilting her chin up in defiance as she awaited the blow in response to her words.
"You know to call me Archie" A smile played at her lips as her brother groaned at the use of his full name. "But Archibald is so fun no? Fine, Archie it is." She teased briefly before her sister had a jab, bringing them back to reality as usual. "So, nothing's changed then. Another waste of people's money and time spent on you for you to throw it all away." She lifted her shoulders in a lazy attempt at a shrug. "When I'm forced somewhere against my will, I don't care who's money or time I waste." She was spiked and she'd die on that hill until people believed her. She didn't deny the fact she liked to party a little too hard but she knew her limits. She didn't want to die. She hadn't felt that way in a long time.
"Mom's out" Frankie relaxed a little at that. "Good." At least she wouldn't have to deal with that argument tonight. "Wait...did you just...leave? On your own accord?" She turned her attention back to the youngest Wagner. "I may have slipped out when nobody was looking." It hadn't been hard in all honesty. Nothing like how they made out in the movies. Her brown eyes followed her sister's movements back over to her chair, disapproval written all over her face. "Of course she did, Arch. Frankie does what Frankie wants, what's a consequence?" She ditched her handbag onto the table and sat down in an armchair, crossing one leg over the other. "Being punished for someone else's actions isn't a consequence I enjoy, and when I don't enjoy something, I tend to leave."
