Natalie smiled. “Another mud lover?” It was sometimes something that horses sensed. Their owners wanted them in, so they made the work harder and messier. Pippi often came to Natalie without issue, if she didn’t show off any need of haste. If there was any hint of needing to pick up the pace – Pippi just would stand and ignore. Unless Banana chips were involved.
She worked the curry comb, gently over Pippi who huffed in defeat. “You’ve got quite the good-looking horse over there. What is their name?” Natalie always loved looking at the Chestnuts that other people owned. It was always interesting to see their different shades of undertones when the sunshine hit them right.
Natalie had come to the barn to find that Pippi had bathed herself in dirt and mud right before the groom session. At least it was before the wash and not after, but the quarter-horse mare would have to suffer through a longer wash cycle. While she was fine with a groom, if it lasted longer than she anticipated – she got a bit sassy. Natalie hoped that the lesson they finished before Pippi’s mud roll – tired the horse out enough to allow her to scrub a bit longer.
“Honestly, Pippi...I should’ve named you Piglet.” The mare huffed as her owner led her to a dual grooming stall, where another rider was with their horse. Natalie hooked Pippi up and gave the other rider a sympathetic look.
“Sorry, I’ll try to make sure her mud doesn’t splash too bad!” She said, reaching for the curry comb in her kit.

the appearance
face claim• Jenna Ortega
identifying features• Natalie was not blessed by the height side of her family. The young woman stands at 5'-1", the shrimp of the four St. Croix siblings. She has a slender build, making people wonder if she can handle large animals. Like the rest of the family, Nat takes good care of her body - swimming and yoga are her favorites. She's rarely seen without some kind of makeup, as keeping up appearances is important for her. Her style is a bit richer than a few of her other classmates. Nat doesn't usually fit herself into a trend or anything. If it looks good on her, and she likes it, she'll wear it.
the personality
likes • exotic animal care (has a pet Tegu named Baby Cakes), annoying her brothers, shopping, reality TV shows, pop music, people watching, espresso dislikes • Whiskey, black licorice, breaking a nail, tight spaces, people not respecting her privacy, social media strengths • studious, loyal, always willing to learn, horse riding (especially jumping), taking critique well, great actor and singer weaknesses • communication (surprisingly old school, prefers phone calls over texting), knowing when to slow down, can get stressed easily, her brothers dreams • pass her schooling and become a vet tech fears • Baby Cakes dying when she's not home, her family breaking apart, bombing a performance overall personality • Natalie in short, can be dramatic and a bit of a diva. She can sometimes be very my way or the highway. Despite her dramatic tendencies and loving the local gossip, Nat can be empathetic and caring. While she appears high maintenance, she’s capable of being a chill person to be around. She doesn’t openly judge someone, even though she’s trying not to. Sometimes it comes out in words, but rarely.
She kind of has a hard time keeping, mainly from her busy schedule and her lack of texting. Those that are close to her – Nat loves and dots on, being someone very loyal. She may not help hide a body, but maybe with enough chocolate – she might.
A family person, Nat will often choose being with her family over going to the club. She loves her family dearly, even if they have their small family squabbles (mainly over the fact Toto could possibly escape).
Nat’s also a dedicated student. She struggled for a long time with schoolwork but has managed to set up a system that works for her. While she isn’t always getting all top marks – it’s better than most lower ones.
Pets: Baby Cakes - Black and White Tegu, 8 Toto - Tarantula, 5

hometown • Washington DC, USA overall history •Natalie was born in Washington DC, as the youngest of the St. Croix children. She grew up in a loving and sometimes strict home (perks of a military family) but was never held back. Despite growing up with three older brothers, Nat never experienced the tom-boy, which must be one of the boys’ things. If anything, they helped shape who she could trust and not.
Being the most dramatic of all the siblings, Natalie fell in love with the stage and singing. She began acting and singing at a young age, often making her family’s ears bleed when she first started. But after years of hard work – Natalie found her style. Unfortunately, lessons stopped as the family relocated to Hickstead.
She didn’t take the move well, as she was thirteen at the time. Nat became a bit reclusive. She didn’t back up again until she saw the horses at the pastures of the barns. Natalie found she felt calm and safe around the big, four-legged beasts. With some persuasion, Nat picked up horse riding. It was a surprise that she took to it so well as if she was born to do it. The love for the Equestrian sport, made her want to go the Vet route. While knowing she probably couldn’t survive Vet school – the Vet Tech route sounded promising. So far, it’s been working out for her and she found that she loved caring for exotic animals as much as horses.
Her choice of study was far different from what her family thought she would do, as they thought she would pursue acting professionally. Natalie will still act and perform, but more for fun. She still loves it but doesn’t see herself getting her union card.
Natalie lives at home with her family and some of her in-laws. While the house is full, Natalie wouldn’t want to be living any other way until she is ready. She currently is taking care of her Tegu and Tarantula in her room, much to the worry of some of the household. Natalie owns a horse, named Pippi, which she boards at Blue Acres.
