Zo was ready for the spring semester to wrap up, but also wasn’t ready for things to go too fast. While the schoolwork was tiring and sometimes overwhelming, it was better than being stuck at home when she didn’t need to be. Thankfully, right now – she could focus on the project in front of her.
The project wasn’t too terrible, a marketing thing. Zo and her class were tasked with taking photos and creating their own advertisement. She had taken a few photos and was now stuck in one of the design labs. Her idea was pretty simple, as it was produced based. Something about cherries, a subject Zo had been able to photograph a bit.
Her eyes were strained, from school and work. Was it already…4 PM? She rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. After struggling a bit, she noticed another student. “Hey,” she started. “Can I get your opinion on something?”
Tallulah chewed the edge of her pencil, a terrible habit that regularly got her in trouble, considering exactly what shade of blue she should pick for the skirt. Azure? Turquoise? Sapphire? Her eyes narrowed critically on the drawing. She sat in one of the classrooms where she'd normally be actually making the garments, but her mannequin stood naked, not even a ribbon adorning it's empty bodice. She would work on it at some point, she had a few weeks until deadline, but she just couldn't get her drawing quite right and she needed it to be perfect.
“Hey,” Tally blinked, a little startled. She glanced around, as if expected the word to have come out the wall or something ridiculous. She'd been so intent on her drawing, she hadn't realised there were other students in the room - that, or she'd forgotten about them. "Hi," She said curiously, wondering what the other girl would want from her. She didn't recognise her, so both not a friend, or one of the popular crowd. Though not wanting or needing to be one of them, Tal couldn't help but keep tabs on who the top lot were and keep a little bit of a tab on them. “Can I get your opinion on something?” Her eyebrows rose in surprise and she blinked again, forgetting the blue hues infront of her. "Uhh sure," She said, "What exactly am I giving an opinion on? I should probably have checked and asked that before saying yes, shouldn't I?" She added with a snort, hoping it wasn't going to be something like 'what was your opinion on the prime minster's latest promise' or 'do you think I should cut bangs'.

Zo couldn’t help but smile and laugh in response. “Don’t worry, it isn’t anything personal. I just need another set of eyes. Fresher than mine now. It’s for my marketing class, and I don’t know if I should keep it simple or not.” Zo opened another file, split screening it with the original one she was working with. They both had similar attributes, but one was simpler compared to the other. The original was a bit busier, and the colors had a bit more punch. The second was simple, with more true color editing.
“Which one do you think draws your eye in?” Zo didn’t know if she was asking the right person, but the point of marketing was to draw anyone in, right? A lot of the fruit marketing made things look delicious, and almost sensual depending on what it was. Thankfully, she wasn’t aiming for that part. Just to make her family’s crop look like the best thing out there.
