The red head was done teaching her beloved six AM Spin class. Her regulars were back from vacation and were all ready to get back into shape. Morgan used a towel to wipe the sweat from her forehead, glad everyone else had a great workout. She stayed behind, allowing her students to chat with her after. Most of them stating they enjoyed her class and would gladly bring a friend along next time. "Please do, the more the merrier. I think after Friday's class we are planning to grab coffee after so we can really chat. It's been awhile since we all caught up." Morgan tried to arrange once a month for her regulars to catch up - they found they had more in common than just Spin class.
As the last student left, she picked up her yoga mat from her classroom and headed towards the main part of the gym. Her cardio and weights were done for the day - though her calf was bothering her and needed a stretch. She laid down on the mat and put herself in child's pose - stretching through her back. She took some deep breaths, bringing her adrenaline down from the class. The woman closed her eyes, opening them again quickly after she heard footsteps stop beside her.
The red head sighed and got herself sitting up - crossing her legs to stretch her hamstrings. "Can I help you?" She tried her best not to sound annoyed, but her time after class was set aside for her.
Elliot Scott had been slated for the afternoon shift at Scott's Hardware Store, leaving his morning wide open, and what better way to start off the day with a 5 am, two hour workout, dedicated to leg day? The man knew he would probably have regrets about it later in the day, or even the next day, as no one with a hint of testosterones every enjoyed leg day, but unlike others, Elliot Scott refused to look like a chicken - all bulk in the arms and chest with spindly legs, so here he was, finishing off the last of his sets at 620 and nothing ever felt so good.
But he still had one last leg of his workout to go, and that was cooling down cardio. Twenty minutes later, the man was officially done with everything. Elliot looked at the time, 7 am, and he was drenched. As tempting as it was to skip stretching and go home so he could shower, he knew better than to skip it. Ever since he had hit his thirties, there would be odd times where something would just randomly hurt, and he couldn't exactly afford to have his body hurting. Heading over to the aerobics section of the gym, he grabbed a matt and a foam roller, not even noticing that there had been someone else in the room.
In fact, Elliot had been so out of it post workout that he hadn't even realized that he had been hovering over some petite redhead until she announced herself: "Can I help you?" Blue eyes snapped to the young woman now and merely stared at her before grunting an apology. He took a rather large side step, although this was an easy task with his frame, to give her her space before laying out the matt and lowering himself to the ground. Elliot made a face as his body protested as he settled nicely onto the floor, and knew this session was going to feel painfully long, "Sorry, didn't see you." Elliot finally said, finally looking over at her and getting a really good look now, "Oh, you're the spin girl, aren't you?"

The blond man wasn't someone she had seen around before was what she realized when she first saw him. The redhead was happy that he had enough respect to give her room. She pressed down on the sides of her knees to deepen the hamstring stretch. “Oh, no problem. It’s not like I got run over or anything.” This was her favorite time of day, there was nothing better than an early morning workout.
“Spin girl? Really? That’s the best you can do?” She questioned, releasing the pressure from her knees and uncrossing her legs. Morgan felt herself wince slightly and stretched her torso forward to fold herself over. “You haven’t taken one of my classes before and forgot my name have you?” She was pretty good with names and didn’t recognize the man. He definitely wasn’t in that morning's class anyway. “My name is Morgan, by the way, prefer that over Spin Girl.” Morgan rolled herself so that she was sitting upright again. She took a few deep breaths to allow the stretches to work through before she would continue on.
Blue eyes watched the young redhead for a moment as she deepened her hamstring stretch, quirking an eyebrow at her response and shrugging off his apology, "Oh really? The amount of sass in your delivery suggested otherwise," Elliot responded now - his tone matter-o-factly. He wasn't looking for a fight, just merely stating the facts. How the young woman would take it though, well, that was up to her. The man didn't care either way. Given it had been leg day though, it did occur to him that he would be sitting on the ground near her.
With that realization, Elliot took a step two or two back before settling himself down onto the ground to begin his own cool down. He was glad he did though when the young woman responded to his title for her: “Spin girl? Really? That’s the best you can do?” He could not help but to chuckle lightly over that comment as he folded one leg in and straighten the other one out now, reaching to his toes and grabbing hold of them to feel the stretch now, "Well, I don't know your name." He doubt the fiery redhead would let him off with such a cop out, but it was his only answer.
Blue eyes glanced up at her now when she asked him if he had taken a spin class of hers before, "No. I'm a guy," well, that probably wasn't much of an answer, "An ex of mine did though, and I witnessed the aftermath of the burn though and decided I wouldn't torture myself like that." Hopefully that would be a far more valid excuse of why he opted to not sit on a spin bike and die for fifty minutes or so. His thirty seconds of stretching had long since passed, as he switched out his legs now, "Ah, Morgan. I can't say I'll forget it now," Elliot replied before adding on, "I'm Elliot." Might as well trade names since neither one of them is going to vacate.
Folding his other leg now, he pressed his two feet together to make the butterfly stretch and continued on, "Do you live here in the gym full time?" She was, in fact, perhaps the only person in town it felt like that he had not run into at the hardware store, "I don't think I've seen you outside of it."

Morgan didn't know what to expect when she threw sass at the stranger. She did her best to be nice to everyone, though she was working - meaning she was concentrated. "I've been run over here more times than you can imagine." Both by horses and other humans - her jobs often required her to act and think on her feet. Once people were clipped into their bikes however it wasn't as much of a hazard.
The woman moved herself into a plank now, pressing her toes into the mat. Morgan couldn't really argue with him not knowing her name, though most people who went to the gym knew who she was. Her name appeared often on the weekly schedule of classes after all. "True. I just thought that if you knew I taught Spin that you'd know my name." She held the plank for about a minute before allowing herself to lay back down on her stomach - taking a moment to breathe. When the comment about men not taking spin class, she scoffed. The red head got herself up and spun herself around to sit upright. "You'd be surprised. I have about seven regulars who are men. And no, they didn't just try it once and left." It was similar to yoga in terms of gender turnout, though she was happy about more and more men joining her class. "Do I know her? I do honestly say for people to take things at their own pace. I'm not the one adjusting the resistance on the bike." She shrugged her shoulders before putting her legs out straight.
Morgan reached forward with her arms and stretched her lower back now. "Nice to meet you. Now I don't have to call you spin judge. Honestly, it's really not that bad." She didn't have to convince anyone - her classes were making her money with or without him. "I live here in the mornings. After this I'm usually at one of the stables nearby. You don't live here do you?" Her regulars would joke about her living at the gym, though like them she had a life outside of work.
"Really? You don't look like a girl who people would try and run over," he mused now, blue eyes glancing over at her once more time from his stretch. Morgan may be small, but she was lean and full of muscle with an angry face. Granted, Elliot supposed that anybody thought they could take on a small woman. People were dumb like that. He adjusted his stretch now, folding one leg out as he leaned forward, watching Morgan go into a plank now. Guess she was a woman who liked to torture herself between this and spin class, "Nah, just because I see you in your glass box spin room doesn't mean I know your name."
He heard her scoff after finishing her plank and allowing herself some time to reset. Somehow, Elliot wasn't surprised that he already managed to anger her. Guess she wouldn't want to be hanging out with him any time soon after this, "Well, power to them then." The man was certain there was something wrong with them, but you know what, if it made them happy, then that was their prerogative then, and who was he to argue that. He shifted to his other leg now, still making sure to not accidently smack Morgan while moving. Elliot couldn't even imagine the sort of earful he would get otherwise, "Nah. I don't think so. This ex was from a while ago and your accent screams you're not from around here." Large shoulders shrugged, "I'm sure everyone wants to think they're a peloton or soulcycle instructor now when it comes to the bike and resistance."
A wry smile was offered at the joke, "Ah. So that explains the tent I walked passed here." Elliot supposed he wasn't surprised to hear someone who taught spin class lived as the gym. He laid back now, bringing up his knee to his chest. A snap, crackle, pop could be heard, "I swear, fireworks could go off from my joints." He muttered under his breath, as his blue eyes looked to Morgan once more, "No, I don't live here. I live over at Scott's Hardware. What barn are you at? I don't ride, but I go over to fix things."
