"and chocolate is just sugar." he wasn't a chocolate fan but he didn't think they were really talking about flavours of food, more flavours of something else. he had to admit that alisha had put more spice into his life than he'd had before and he was much better for it. before he'd been with her, had built that connection he'd been, well he'd been a bit of a shit. not that he thought there was anything wrong with that though, there was nothing wrong with looking out for number one, knowing your worth and thinking that no one was better than you, they were all life lessons they were taught as kids, the problem was when kids got big enough to do all those things, the people who'd taught them those values often regretted it.
he shrugged his shoulders just a little before he folded his arms across his chest lightly as he watched the male still sitting on the chair before him. "well she's never mentioned it." okay maybe that wasn't all that true but he couldn't recall her telling him it was mind blowing. actually come to think of it, it might not even have been alisha that mentioned it. her group of friends were entirely too open and far to willing to dirty a conversation. "everything?" he raised his brow, slightly curious on just how far everything meant. he heard him chuckle and couldn't help but feel that was a win. like it was something that had amused the guy enough to have him crack that exterior he was famous for. "and what about a demonstration, something i can compare notes with." he said, his eyebrow raising just slightly, unable to help just how fun this conversation was feeling.
he snorted a little as dei said he didn't give a shit and tripp couldn't help but shrug his shoulders just a little. he was happy to let it lie there, he didn't need to know what she thought anyway. he wasn't one of those guys who needed to know they were the best a girl had had. what mattered was the now, not the past and sometimes not even the future. it was the moment and what you were doing it in, there was no point in settling on the what ifs or the what you didn't haves. you just dealt with what you got and that was that. "vanilla is a classic." he said with a little smirk. okay it wasn't his favourite but what sort of person was he if he just rolled over on that comment.
"just so long as it's worth her footing the bill." the more the conversation went on the more interesting it got and the more intriguing it was. sure it had been one thing to joke about it before but at some point it had shifted and he wasn't upset with where it was headed. it hadn't been a conversation he'd had before so he'd never known it would be one he'd want to have but the deeper it got the more he felt like it was something to explore, at least with alisha by his side. if she wanted to, that's what it would boil down to and she'd take the lead. he'd never ask her if she didn't want to.
so dei had noticed him looking, it didn't bother him that he had. it wasn't like dei had kept his eyes in the one spot while he'd been looking at him throughout their conversation, it just felt that deimos might have been slightly more versed in checking people out. there was no denying that he was nice to look at, he worked on himself, he'd been told he was handsome his whole life like people had expected it to be a part of his personality or something and he liked to keep fit so he could play sports. so the fact dei had been looking at him didn't bother him, he was used to it. "do you have a scale? like 0 is awful, 10 is mind.. or something blown." he said with a slight smirk, fighting the urge to lick his lip for some reason. "any prereading in case she's all for it?"
he'd made good on his promise to pick dani up and drive her into the city so they could paint the town red. with a little bit of egging from his brother, he'd decided to actually pay half decent money on a hotel room for each of them, so they didn't have to worry about driving home drunk or paying for taxis. it had been jaspers way of trying to play responsible adult but tripp didn't have any inclination to drive drunk, not since the last time he'd made that mistake with a friend of his and tragedy had struck someone innocent. so he was here in his room, getting ready for a night on the town with his best friend. he'd just hung up with alisha to let her know they were there. he wished she was there but he'd felt he'd been negleting his friendship a little so he thought the two of them would be better. besides alisha knew there was nothing between dani and it was more than refreshing to have a girlfriend who trusted him not to want to fuck everything that moved purely because he was a male.
he slipped his leather jacket around his shoulders as he grabbed the key to his room and he slid it into his wallet, before he slid that into the pocket of his jeans and he swept his hand through his hair to push it off his eyes as he glanced in the mirror just before he left the room, thinking he really needed a haircut. he walked out of his room, closing the door tight behind him and he walked across the hall to where dani's room was and he leaned against the door, thumping it with his fist lightly. "are you going to take hours and hours to get ready like last time? because if you are i'm going to go start getting drunk down in the hotels bar." he called through the closer door.
he really wasn't sure where this had sprung from. one moment he was talking to dei about pointless shit and then the next it was turning it something of a different conversation. not that tripp was complaining, not in the slightest. which again surprised him a little because while he'd never been sure he was straight really, he certainly hadn't put much thought into whether he like guys or not before. at the moment he was just alisha sexual and that was more than enough for him. he glanced when dei slunk down into the chair a little and he coudn't help but follow the lines of his chest down to the bare skin and the trail that led further down his body. he glanced away to finish what he was doing but he couldn't deny that he was curious to see further down. "well i'm sure she'd love to answer her phone if you really want to know." he said with a slight roll of his eye as he started finishing off what he was doing with the chairs, making sure it was fine before he took the picture.
"to be fair i've never thought of joining before." he said honestly, there was no point in lying about any of it. if it was headed where the conversation was pointing to it would become painfully clear that he didn't know anything about anything, apart from alisha. tripp snorted slightly and couldn't help but jab a little at the opening dei had given him for an insult. whatever was happening back and forth between them, most of their communication had been jabs at each other and tripp rather enjoyed it, he didn't like politeness and he wasn't one for airs and graces. give him an argument or a banter any day than pleasantries and niceness. "no freebies, got it. so how much do you charge an hour?" he asked casually as he climbed to the top of the bleachers to take his photo before he headed back down to the court.
he reached the bottom of the stairs as dei stood and stretched again and once more tripp found his eyes drifting downwards for a moment. they were standing almost face to face now, just a few feet between them. he raised his brow a little as he slipped his phone back into his pocket after showing dei the photo and he couldn't help but smirk slightly. "i thought you didn't give freebies?" he joked as he folded his arms over his chest a little, the move causing his arms to bulge a little, his shirt straining a little from the tension. "until you show me, i'll just have to use the photo."
