War was still quite bored even with the offering of Cheetos so with a snort he turned away and went back to the middle of the pen and cocked a hind leg flicking his tail in annoyance of the whole situation. After a few minutes he shifted his weight again and flicked on ear back but kept one forward for all the other chaos going on. “War is a show jumper and from what I have been able to pull up on him as well as reports from his previous stable he was quite the jumper and what was meant by too much horse I’m not for sure I’m assuming his size and the stables in experience to place a capable person on him, he by far has been the sweetest stallion brought in this week, oh he can get a bit headstrong sometimes so maybe that is what they meant and he doesn’t like being stalled for too long, do you have any other questions?” The worker asked looking at War who still had his backside pointed to them.
War snorted and flattened his ears as the man waved someone over and then he was talking to the new person. War had no idea what was being said but he just stood there like he was interested his ears dancing atop his head before growing bored and taking a nice walk around his pen. “Oh this big handsome fellow just came in this morning, he’s an 18hh hanoverian stallion from what I have heard he is an excellent if not superior jumper apparently his old owner just stopped showing up and others claimed that he was just too much horse though I would say he has proved that statement false, are you interested in buying him?” the worker asked turning his attention to the horse for a moment and offering out a Cheetos, “oh ya he’s a sucker for Cheetos and apparently beer.”
Nordic was quietly standing there munching hay still watching as the traffic went by. This barn was sure busy and he was starting to wonder if it ever had a slow time other then when it was closed. He snorted and shifted his weight once more, just as a younger man approached his pen. Nordic turned to face him and started walking to that side of the pen as the man seemed to be saying something to him. He bobbed his head and stopped in front of the man and leaned his head over the panels, sniffing him before bumping his arm. He raised his head again, standing at his full height looking around the man as a horse on the loose bolted by with humans hot on the horses tail, he snorted and watched as the horse had no were else to go and was caught and brought back to the stall. Nordic looked at the man again and whickered wondering what his intentions were, maybe he would be the key to leaving this place.
The stud munched on his hay as the trailer moved down the road. He was groomed to the nines and his body was covered with a bee print sheet and his legs wrapped protectively. He snorted and his body shifted as the trailer caring him came to a halt. The studs nares widened and his ears danced atop his head. The door was dropped and the handler came in giving the horse one final pat as he unloaded, the large horse whinnied to the other horses as he was led to the barn. He kept taking in the scents, scents of fear, blood, sweat. It made him pin his ears for the briefest of moments before he was turned out into a round pen that had some shavings in it. Just like that his normal handler undid his leg wraps and disappeared. War was alone he made the circle of the pen and settled in the middle raising his head proudly watching the traffic go by. He snorted again and wondered what he had done to end up here, his rider had loved him very much but then she just stopped showing up. Others attempted to ride him but claimed he was just too much horse which he didn’t feel he was, he just knew how to do what he loved well. He shook his large head and cocked a hind leg as he settled watching the many sized horses go by. A worker stopped by the round pen and zip tied a sign to the pole before walking away with out a word to the horse, with a snort the stud shifted his weight and hoped for the best.

overall history • War was born on a north American farm in Virginia to the mare Nordic Princess. The breeders saw promise in the leggy colt and grew excited, as War grew he only kept showing how stunning and promising he was. Once weaned he was sold to farm in Germany to being his training. Training started with lots of ground work until old enough.
At two War was already free jumping and being showed on lunge line and some small free jumping competitions. He was finally broke under saddle and this is where his talent was really shown. He quickly was making his way up in the show jumping world and making a name for himself with his rider, it was a good few years for them until his rider never returned to the farm and the farm didn’t have anyone else that wanted War claiming he was just to much. So the farm shipped him to Hickstead to be sold.
