Hades was not fond of this indoors stabling business. It was boring. It was boring and awful and he was done with it. He had no food too! The nerve! Stomping a hind leg, he backed up and raked his teeth over the edge as he worked out what to do about this stall business. He hadn't seen anyone so far, and his rider was most certainly late - at least, in his eyes. He wanted out and by damn he was going to have his time out. It was in his favour too that the top gate was open; he would find his way out of this box!
He stopped chewing the gate edge long enough to snap at his companion through the bars. He had something of a thing, a flare, for bullying the shit out of the other horse - that stupid minded bay. He tried to bite at his nose through the bars, the action causing the other horse to skitter back and fall on his hindquarters with a snort. At least it made him get away from the bars and leave him alone.
Turning, pacing, Hades went back up to the gate and did a small hop, brushing up against the gate with his chest. Maybe he could jump out of here... There wasn't much lead up for it, but he wanted to get out to pasture! Roll in the grass and chase who ever was out there! He backed up until his rump hit the wall and tried again, shying off the jump last minute. Still no one around... He tried again, backing up and this time, this time he committed to the jump, just barely getting himself through and out. Snorting, he looked back around before slowly, effortlessly walking off in the hopes that he'd find food or better yet have a free path to victory and the pasture.

One moment humoring the devil on his shoulder, and the next being as close as a saint can get for a horse of his size and weight. He's sassy, spicy, hot-headed, and yet cool, calm and collected. No one really knows when he's going to switch up, having very few tells as to when he is about to throw a fit and try to make you taste the dirt. He's not malicious, but he can be considered somewhat dangerous in the wrong hands. Really, he just has a bitch-complex that can be rather off putting.
the history
owner • MAX BENJAMIN RYAN father • Unknown mother • Unknown siblings • Like Many overall history • Despite his mother dying shortly after he was born, Hades had a fire that would haunt him all throughout his life. He was a bothersome foal, very independent and self sure and curious. So very little phased him and humans became the target of his attention. He would push people around, chase after them, nip and otherwise cause chaos.
Even as he got bigger, his antics were dangerous enough to warrant early training from the age of two. Training him was hard, his stubborn nature working against his trainers, but over time he was saddle broke and made to have some form of manners. Though his owners would struggle to keep him in check and sell him on at the age of five. He was purchased as a prospect for Eventing, but proved to suck at Dressage, and Show Jumping required too much composure, thus Cross Country was the more appropriate selection, as well as Steeple Chase and Hunting.
His owner was all for it, and with very little preparations, began to urge Hades through various courses. He won many courses, always crossing the line lathered in sweat and panting, chaffed and hounded by people. He began to get bitter and snappish, and more often than not, he was left for days at a time without exercise or work which made him all the more tense and sour. It became a switch, randomly beginning to throw fits and toss his rider at the worst times.
On a particularly windy day he was being worked when a tarp got free and tumbled up against the arena fence scaring Hades witless. He stumbled and skittered, losing his footing in his panic, injuring himself. His owner was particularly mad and threatened Hades, who in turn bit his owner on the arm. He was left to his own devices in the arena for hours, as his owner simply left him tacked up in the stables. He was freed the following morning, but his mind was set and he continued to attack people until he was sold.
Now with a new owner, Hades seems to have settled to some degree, but who knows how long it will last.
Quirks / Notes: - Still has his Wolf Teeth! - Head and Bit shy (hard to halter/bridle) - Will rub out his mane for no reason - Will chew stable gates and harass stable buddies if top gate isn't shut - Gains weight easily, but also loses it just as quick too - Will attack women, no one is sure why - Has a natural RBF for a horse
