”I’d rather walk over hot stones” Shiloh rolled her eyes, "could be arranged," She murmured back, crossing one leg over another. Not that she blamed Mal for not being interested in joining in; she'd likely prefer to walk over hot coals herself. She looked down at the paper on her desk and snorted, pushing it away decisively. ”Who pissed in her cereal this morning?” Shi gave a small chuckle and then a languid shrug. "She was fuming when she found out this was mandatory. Never seen her so angry," And it was true, Shi had almost cracked a joke back to Mal but for once Theia's surprising temper had warrented a serious response. She rarely saw Theia angry - grumpy sure, but that was different to angry.
"So you'd be content knowing someone who has - let's say depression - go about their lives and making choices of their own? You are here only because the campus heads would like this class to be apart of their guidelines and asked me - a professional - to fill in that position. No one is taking away fun here Miss. I'm not here to tell you that you can't do something you deem fun. That defeats my purpose." Shiloh shrugged, tilting her head and licking her lips, ready for the good fight. "Yeah, I would. It's their life, they can go around fucking it up however they want." She smiled sweetly. "You're taking away my fun by taking away my afternoon. I have things I'd rather be doing."
"Since most here in the room are more inclined to assume, let us play a game. It's quite simple. There is only one main rule - everyone is fair game. It's called Assumptions. You'll catch on quickly enough, Starting with Miss 'We Don't Get to Understand Things On Our Own'. I assume that you are a Know it All. For you, mister 'My Mental Health is Declining by Being Here', I'm going to assume that you are a Cocky Bastard. You, Miss 'We're All Here By Force', I'm assuming that you are a Bitchy Queen Bee that wants everything her own way. And Finally Miss 'Bullshit Questions' - I'm going to assume that you are Pissed at the World and Like Following in other people's shadows. And you Miss 'Appreciating Attractive Men', I'm going to assume that you are generally a nice individual, if a little too bold. Go on now, make your return assumptions about me." Shiloh laughed, catching Theia's fury but letting it wash over her - she found his words amusing, rather than anger inducing. After her friend had said her little piece, Shiloh straightened, ready for centre stage. "Thank you, I can't wait to get that made into a badge. I'm glad you noticed the status without the need for my crown." She was damn right the queen bee, and she wouldn't have it any other way. "I'm going to assume you make most of you salary on women who come crying to you about their cheating husbands. And, FYI, if you slipped them a little something extra they'd probably get over it a hell of a lot quicker."
Shiloh glanced over as Mal slid into the seat on her other side. It was where Dei would have normally sat, but she'd found more and more that Mal was there at her side instead these days. She wasn't sure what to think about that, didn't have the capacity to question if it meant anything considering they were supposed be mates - but still, it was a noticeable change in her mind. "This is horseshit." She snorted; understatement. "Not up for holding hands and singing kumbaya?" She teased, "hopefully his voice matches his face." She gave a nod of agreement with that, tilting her head as she looked the guy over again. As Alisha joined them and then Dani, she raised a brow to hear Dei wasn't coming. "He's going to be in so much shit, not coming wasn't an option - I tried it." She rolled her eyes, bringing her phone out to shoot him a quick text along the times of 'get your fat ass here now'. She doubted he'd reply.
As the professor began to talk, she tilted her head again, taking in what he said and everything that wasn't said. The uni clearly thought that their students needed some kind of help, and considering all the shit they got up to, she couldn't exactly deny it. A silly little questionnaire wasn't going to fix anything though. Something was sure as shit up Theia's ass, and Shiloh rolled her eyes to her words, letting a quiet sigh pass her lips. Alright so this sucked and none of them actually wanted to talk about their feelings but they were here, it was mandatory, but whilst they were here they might as well find some entertainment out of it.
"My name is Pasha Shaye. I don't expect much from you all - just simple respect in my classes. Fall asleep, catch up on other classes, or pay attention. So, now that that is out of the way, can anyone tell me what me what they believe mental health to be? No need to raise hands, speak in turn - no formalities here." Pasha. Shiloh smirked slightly, well.. Pasha was going to really enjoy his time with the class. The lucky sod. Her eyebrow quirked at her friends words - Theia really was pissed, it took a lot to get her there too. "Well, Pasha," She practically purred his name, flipping her hair over her shoulder and leaning forward. "It's living your life as you want to, which I'm pretty sure most of us do in this room plenty." Shiloh surveyed the professor curiously. "Or is that the exact reason we're all here by force? Because we all have too much fun."
Shiloh perched in the middle seat of the semi-circle of chairs, noting Theia's reluctance at her choice and rolling her eyes. She couldn't very well sit at the end, how would that make her look? She was the queen of this school, it just wouldn't do to be perched at the end like a nobody. This was something the others didn't understand, such simple things like where one sat made a statement. She put her bag carefully on the floor and then sat back, crossing her legs at the knee and surveying the new company.
"I might like therapy after all," She turned to Theia and murmured, her lips pulling into a smirk as she eyed up the guy at the front, waiting for the seats to fill. She was not keen to be here, she had been vocally angry in the way that Theia had been ostentatiously silent about it. She'd had protested loudly and dramatically about it, trying to use her 'rights' as a way to get out, but no such luck. "If we have to sit here and listen to people talk about their feelings, at least we get something pretty to look at." She didn't bother to lower her voice, her eyes appraising the good looking guy in the way she usually did when fresh meat walked into the bar. Perhaps therapy wouldn't be so bad after all. Perhaps she could do with some private lessons...
She was surprised he hadn't fought her this far, but Shiloh could only attribute that to the pain he was in - it said enough that she'd got him this far without argument. She stared at him expectantly for an answer, waiting to find out what kind of right this was going to be to actually get him inside. Getting him here without a tantrum was one thing, but getting him past the doors was another story altogether. At least he was lucid enough to know where he was, though out of the many lads she knew, he wasn't too much of a baby about pain. Some of them couldn't even handle a paper cut without the lower lip quivering. Shiloh thought they should try being female for a month.
"I don't need to. I'm fine, it's just a sprain." Shiloh raised an unimpressed eyebrow. "Are we really going to play this game?" her sharp gaze assessed him, looking him over with that same disdainful expression. "Your face says otherwise, or is that swear attributed to alcohol instead of pain?" she rolled her eyes and got out, coming around to Mal's side and opening his door like some kind of damn parent. Urgh. But, reluctant or not he was her friend and there was a weird little part of her that didn't like seeing him hurt and refused to take him home without getting him checked out. "You can't walk on it Mal and even that's beyond my capabilities. What's so bad about a hospital?" she offered him her hands, pressing her lips together daring him to fight.
This wasn't exactly how Shiloh had planned to spend her Friday night, but needs must. She wasn't a doctor or anything but it didn't need a degree to take one look at Mal's leg to know that he needed more than a bandage. It wasn't something she could wrap up and make better. Dei was at work, and so was Theia, she'd bothered Mal to go out for drinks as she felt like she was moping in the dorms without her usual full house of people cluttering up her room. As much as she bitched about it sometimes, they were her family and she also loved it. Of course, there'd been a fight. She didn't know how it had happened this time, she'd only left him for five minutes, but when she'd returned with two drinks in either hand, someone was on the floor and Mal was hopping like he couldn't put weight on one of his feet. She'd be pissed - she'd only just paid for the drinks and then they were getting kicked out, and for once she wasn't even involved.
But then they'd gone outside, and she'd seen the angle of his foot and just known that the night wasn't over by a long shot. "Hospital." That fated word. She didn't get why he never wanted to concede defeat and just go. Granted, they all fixed each other up plenty, but sometimes the hospital was just that much easier; the free drugs were pretty sweet too in her opinion, as much as she wasn't keen on the place either. She'd all but shoved Mal into the front seat of her fancy sports car, texting Dei back that she could handle it when he'd asked if she needed a man's help - duh, she was a woman, and women were so much better. Her driving could have been better but she thought she did pretty well considering the amount of alcohol she'd chucked back just hours before. She parked badly across two spots - actually doing so on purpose to give them more room and stop someone parking next to her. As she switched off the engine, she looked at Mal with a frown. "Are you going to make me drag you out or are you going to quit being a baby?"
It was unusual for Shi not to be seen without her usual possy. She was sure someone would make a shitty comment if they saw her, but the others had been too busy to come and she was bored and nosey. Dei had gotten himself sucked into weekend detention the tit, Theia had mumbled something about having to run through a theatre scene with another person for a showcase next week; though she half thought that was crap and the girl had gone and curled up elsewhere for a nap. Mal had been nowhere to be seen- probably in someone else's bed. The rest, she didn't know, they hadn't answered her texts desperately pleading for company.
That was how she found herself wandering up and down the isles, a pastry in hand that she nibbled at as she peered into the tents and stands. Nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing that warranted her interest so far - how dull. She had half expected a kissing booth, everyone loved to jump on that bandwagon following the popular Netflix movie, but if that had been the case she was sure she'd have been asked to partake. Tossing her head over her shoulder, she picked another avenue and strolled down.

shiloh hasn't exactly had a difficult life, not really. when she was little, both her parents were happily married, and they spoiled her rotten. shi's father was a very important business man who earned a lot of money, and so he owned a large house with beautiful gardens, and could afford anything the family wanted. shi never went without in anything...except one thing. her parents. she lacked real attention from them in all honesty. when she was young, she was brought up primarily by a nurse - shiloh's father went back to work long hours and her mother, sarah couldn't really cope alone...not with the shop too.
shiloh was a rather lonely child. with no siblings but such a huge house to herself she often took to making her own games or playing with the nurse. she often longed for a brother or sister but it was never going to happen. her parent's slowly began to fall apart as she grew up, and eventually, her dad stopped coming home. by ten years of age, shiloh was primarily alone, and so when she got to school, she surrounded herself with as many friend's as possible, throwing herself into a social life and finding that people liked her. she was pretty, skinny, rich and she could bite if she needed to, but she wasn't nasty without reason, was generous and genuine...and soon everyone wanted to be her friend, and she found confidence within her that never left.
this only increased when she moved up in years and soon she discovered boys. her parent's may have loved her, but they loved work more, and so finding a lack of affection she sought it elsewhere - in friends, and in guys and even, eventually, girls. she was dating by the time she was fourteen, and in fact she was sleeping with her boyfriends only a year later. her parent's became more devoted to work the older she got, thinking that her age meant she didn't need them anymore when in fact she needed them more than ever. she became independent, practically brought herself up - especially when her parent's eventually divorced just after her sixteenth birthday. she was glad, whenever they were together they fought and she hated it.
her father kept the house, her mother moved away to the flat above her shop, and after a short battle, her father won custody. to try and keep his daughter entertained for the hours and hours he was at work or out with different women, he brought her a horse and threw lessons at her. she came to adore cobalt, but she still missed her mother, and she went to visit her occasionally and help in the shop. she decided to stay on in education, finding that she was a talented singer and dancer and that she loved them both as well as acting. she still hated that her parent's were so absent from her life, and continued to try and seek out love elsewhere, but all she tended to get where short relationships, flings, and constant strings of one night stands - not that it mattered considering she had a huge house to herself and she had to fill it somehow - either with a guy/ girl or a party. still, she hopes to graduate from university and move away from her parents, or hell hopefully get her dad to move out and just give her the place.
