overall personality • Scott is that quiet, unassuming man that lets others in front of him at the super market and is willing to give up his umbrella to someone else who needs it. He's reserved and not much for loud, crowded places. Underneath the near permanent frown, there is a humble man who is always there for others where he can be. He does have patience for those close enough to him, but is otherwise the sort that could easily try to take off someone's head unprovoked.

overall history • --
Scott's past has been nothing shy of a roller coaster going from extreme to extreme, and something he does not freely tell others. When he arrived in Hickstead, it was with few personal items and bruises on his face.
* He has no knowledge or memory of his parents, or if he even had them. All he remembers of his early years is the fact that the faces always changed, and that they seemed to always be on the move or locked in small rooms in buildings that were far from warm and safe. He'd already lost both his ring fingers, though he doesn't remember why.
*He was rescued around the age of 6 years old. Efforts were made to find his birth family, however no DNA matches could be found in Romania so he was put into a specialized program to help him catch up and bridge gaps in his education. He developed selective mutism, only speaking to people in quiet tones that he trusted.
*He was later adopted out by the age of 10 by the Moon family. He had to adjust to his new name, as the family decided it would be easier on him in the public system if he had a more 'normal' name. He spoke rarely to his new family, or the siblings it gave him, more often found curled up reading a book in a corner or sat outside playing with a deck of cards.
*At 11, he was introduced to magic and was immediately enthralled by the way people did such tricks. With a new hobby, he dedicated his time to learning how to do such tricks. At first only with cards, but then with other objects. He smiled a lot more then, being able to get away with his harmless tricks.
*Throughout High School and College, his grades were a little below average, but he was not about to complain about it, instead devoted the majority of his time learning magic tricks that got progressively harder and harder to pull off. He didn't have many friends, most unable to connect with him.
*At 18, he was pressured into joining the military by his adoptive father - a push that was meant to be good for him, get him out more and stop the foolish magic tricks. He got through the enrollment and began his training.
*He stuck it out with the military until age 32, where his life altering accident occurred. He was crushed between one of the large trucks and a wall on base after a handbrake failed to hold. He was stuck like that for almost twenty minutes before he was freed by other soldiers on base who heard his cries for help. He was rushed off base to a hospital where he was push into surgery moments after initial x-rays were taken. With his pelvis broken clean at the floor, left femur broken and three lower back vertebrae fractured and broken, it was a small miracle that he survived.
*He was in hospital for several months, and when rehab was due to start, there was the reality breaking moment when Scott went to walk and nothing happened, instead crumpled to the ground. It was this moment that Scott was informed that he was paralyzed. He was ashamed of this fact and denied it completely for weeks before he simply gave up trying to walk despite being told that rehab was still a necessary part of his life to prevent muscle atrophy.
*Getting out of Hospital, he was told where to go to decompress and get therapy and for a time, he went. But the fact he didn't speak much when he went to his first support groups, and was without friends, he stopped going after a few months and stopped going to physio.
*He met Veronica after a year and though it was slow going, he eventually came out of his shell enough to confess his feelings for her. From there Scott let her move into his home and eight months into their relationship, he began to see her in a new light that he hadn't before. At first she was verbally aggressive towards him, growing steadily more possessive over him to a point that he had no safe space to turn to; anxiety and depression reaching him.
*She began to make demands of him that he was unable to fulfill, finding ways to humiliate him and mock him for not being able to reach high placed items or shower like a normal person. Then things took a physical turn. The first night it happened, Scott didn't fight back, too shocked at the fact she was throwing punches before locking him out of their bedroom. He slept in his chair that night and woke up to a slap to the face. Things continued getting worse; being tipped from his chair, or being left on the floor without anything to grab to get himself more comfortable, kicked in the ribs or head in passing.
*He tried to call the police on her, tried to get her out of his life but she was like a leech holding onto him. He even had his neighbor laugh at him for the fact he couldn't hold his own against his partner. He stuck it out as best he could, dealing with the pain she brought him regularly for almost three years before he finally found his out. Whilst she was out partying, Andrew made his fifth desperate attempt to escape, taking only what he could grab and what was important to him. He made his way out the door with his few belongings and fled.
*He'd managed to leg his way from place to place via taxi - the whole trip incredibly expensive - and made it to Hickstead, hoping it was far enough away that he couldn't be found by his ex. With what remains in his account, he's living by the seat of his chair day by day, just surviving.
Notes;
- Can be found sleeping in his wheelchair more often than not, as he doesn't own an actual bed anymore.
- Can be seen often with a deck of cards in his hands, playing with them.
- Has a nervous tick where he rolls a coin through his fingers, usually when he's anxious.
- Does not speak very much and doesn't like telling people about his past despite how much it hangs over him.
