brief history:
roxanne was born in the centre of london thirty-one years ago. her parents were happy with a girl, although they hadn't actually planned children, and as neither wished for another child, roxy for their only daughter. her father used to work in a bakery whilst her mother competed in dressage on a beautiful mare by the name of Excalibur. however when roxy was three years old, there was an incident at the bakery that caused some anxieties - some london gang took an interest in it, started harassing workers there until finally they sent it up in flames one night. scared of the area they were living in, karen begged her husband to pack them up and move them elsewhere, and so they settled for the southern outskirts where he soon brought his own little bakery.

roxanne was ambitious right from the beginning - her parent's weren't very driven themselves, happy with the lots they'd drawn in life, but she wanted more. she wasn't arrogant and actually she was brought up with proper manners and how to respect people. she used to go into her dad's bakery and watch him cook - help him even when she got older, but cooking wasn't her forte. she worked hard in school right from the beginning of her education, and found during secondary school that she thrived in business studies - a subject she went on to study at college (along with maths, english and french) and then at university. she really got stuck into the work and earned herself an apprenticeship at an important company in london which she's worked for ever since, working up the ladder toward ceo.

the problem was it meant relationships took a back seat for her. she went of a couple of dates here or there with guys she met but a lot of them only wanted one night, and the couple of times she let herself slip and spent the night with them, they didn't call her back. it was frustrating but mostly upsetting, and it put her trust in men right to the back of her mind. a few years into her job at the company, she met a nice man, ambitious like she was, who took interest in her and after a few dates things went well. he was reliable, he called and met her when he said he would, and he promised they could keep work and pleasure separate. they were together for almost two years, during which she climbed further up the ladder whilst he did not and cracks began to show in their relationship. he was tired of her putting her career first, jealous that she was thriving and more successful than him. she tried to rectify things and thought they could have worked if he hadn't had done the impossible - he screwed her over. he set her up at the company, and on her head she lost thousands of pounds. it hadn't been her fault, it had been a set up and luckily her boss found out and she was saved from the chopping block, whilst the guy was fired instead, but she vowed not to let a man do that to her again. she lost control and she couldn't let a guy get under her skin again.[/font][/ul]

overall personality:
the first thing you'll realise about roxy is that she's a rather ambitious woman. for years now, her life has been about her career, and whilst she's let things slip because of it, she's finally happy where she is - ceo of a company. she wants to make it right to the top and to stay there. she's not nasty and whilst she will step on toes to get there if she has to, she's not ruthless and she'd rather turn a position down than cut someone down to get there. she's a strong woman, incredibly independent and she dislikes having to rely upon someone - especially a man. okay, so she's a bit of a feminist, and if you're going to be sexist you'll get a bit of bite from her, but generally she's an easy person to work with. she's hard-working, efficient, reliable and honest, with a knack for knowing how to turn in the profits.

she likes a bit of banter here or there as much as the next person, but she does act responsible and sometimes she will become a little strict to keep people in line if she has to. still, she's a nice woman, pretty light hearted and open minded if you ever need someone to talk to. she can tend to speak her mind a little if people over step the mark, but it's not arrogance. she's actually very modest, but the one thing is she does like to be in control. perhaps it's a little bit of a control freak thing, but she finds it hard to let someone else take the reins in projects or even in relationships. she's a natural born leader, encouraging and all but if she feels like she's not in control she might start to pull back from people a little or put them back in line. it makes it hard to keep a relationship going, which is why she tends to stay away from guys.

then...there's another side to her - one you might not usually see. she does like working but at the same time she loves her time off. she really enjoys having a chance to relax and take a step back from the rush at work. she doesn't usually party or drink much anymore, she did a little too much of it in college and realised that she tended to be a little bit too wild when she drank. she never allows herself to fully let her hair down anymore, but when she does boy does she go crazy - she has a high alcoholic tolerance but she'll keep going until she's passed it, she's less worried about her reputation, she flirts, she dances, she says whatever's on her mind...and then always regrets it the next morning; hence why she never lets herself have more than a couple of glasses of wine here or there. but if you ever get her to let her hair down then enjoy the show![/ul][/size][/ul]
