i'm a wiminz and i've been roleplaying for many years.
but enough about me, here's my character. =]

brief history:
his breeding was purposeful, the owner of eagle peak wanted a colt out of her and a colt they got. they had hoped to hell the colt would get a good temper, however born of eagle peak who was known to be a difficult mare to deal with, and scarlet glory who's drawn more blood than any other stallion known of his age and status, they should have realised what the result would be. from the moment sonic was born he was difficult. he was cheeky as a youngster, nipping at clothes, investigating everything with his teeth, but he quickly became difficult to happen. as he became a yearling he quickly learnt how to throw his weight around. he was a big animal right from the off, and the quicker he grew the more he threw his bulk about and managed to get what he wanted.
they struggled to control him, to get him to learn how to behave and he soon learnt that he could get away with nipping and kicking out, being hard to catch and even harder to train they soon resorted to hitting him, abusing him, doing anything to break him. there was nothing gentle about the way they backed him and he fought every step of the way, throwing people left right and centre, until finally they gave up and decided to sell him. they lied a lot and when somebody came to try him, he was sedated up to the eyeballs. they brought him and within days quickly realised their mistake. they couldn't handle him at all, and scared to death of him, they threw him out into the pasture and left him there....for three years. a neighbouring rider grew curious of the long haired, ill kept six year old left to graze and enquired as to the problem. when explained, the guy quickly offered to take him off their hands for free, wanting to get through to the horse.
he found he was up against something difficult but he was a kind man called tom and he worked on natural horsemanship with no brute force. he gained sonic's trust and started to work hard to prove his worth on the ground, teaching the horse manners. peyton was brought into the picture a few weeks later. she knew the guy, being a good friend of his and when he talked to her of the horse she became curious and visited. she found the horses' spirit delightful, loving that he refused to be broken by people and could see a bright intelligence within the horse that others hadn't. she agreed to help tom try to get somewhere with him and slowly, they re-built the horses' education from the ground up until he was ridable and really starting to get somewhere, to show potential. when she told her friend that she was moving away to england, tom signed the ownership papers to her as a leaving present and made her take the horse with her, knowing she had bonded to sonic and him to her. she took sonic to england with the promise that tom would visit as soon as he could.

he's always been tough to handle. he regularly nips and bites and kicks, and good luck trying to handle him if he doesn't trust you. he's bulshy and he throws his weight around often, knowing that he can. he likes to make things difficult sometimes, purposefully choosing to make things harder than they needed to just because he can. some say he's simply a horrible, nasty horse with an evil streak and sometimes it can seem like that - even when being ridden he can suddenly spook at seemingly nothing, can buck out of nowhere, rush his fences, plant his feet and refuse for no reason. he's got character though and most of the time it's simply a magnification of a cheeky but intelligent character he has. he's not nasty but he's protective of his owner and he just enjoys to make things hard because he gets bored easily and he's never been an easy-going horse.
