brief history:
Born in Ireland, Admiral was one of many that were bred on a nondescript stables that put him out to pasture for most of his younger years. He spent his first three years playing will fellow yearlings, until they were rounded up and brought back into the stables, where they were taught to be handled. Admiral had always been a pretty curious youngster and so he took well to the human handling. They were gathered up and taken to be sold, still unbroken, along with hundreds of other Irish horses that were gathered up to be sold each year, and shipped to stables over sea's - mostly in England.
Admiral was brought by a small private yard that were rather looking for a youngster to bring up and show. He arrived, underfed, dirty and covered in sores and so it took at least several months to get him some good condition in order to start his training. He was given a good trainer who knew what he was doing, and it only took a year to get Admiral up to a good enough standard to send him on to begin his showing career. He was finally brought at five years old by a young, competitive woman who took him up to intermediate level in all three disciplines, before a riding accident put her off completely. One of her other horses threw her and one broken arm later she packed in her show days and sold the horses on. Admiral found himself back in Ireland at eight, where he was picked up by a riding school. He struggled a little there. He was worked long hours with little break, and often found himself being ridden by people who weren't a high standard of riding. He got into bad habits and his good nature snapped a little, taking to becoming cheeky and bucking kids off. Peyton - who had been riding there a while - took to him immediately and found she was able to get a good tune out of him. Just after he turned nine, she brought him, and took him over to England with her when she moved.

he's a good gelding, pretty relaxed about most things with good manners inside and out of the stables. he's happy to chill most of the time, so there's no problem if he has to stay in or out for long periods of time - as long as it's not raining if he's in the field. he likes attention and he's good in every aspect, with no problems or vices or ill manners. he's a bold horse, and he'll try anything, enjoying working with his rider as a team rather than against them. sometimes when being ridden he can get a bit grumpy if he dislikes how he's being ridden or if there's miscommunication between them, but otherwise he likes to work hard and he's a curious and brave horse who's not likely to spook or back off from things.
