ayn Blake had been most annoyed when some people showed up telling him he had to move his van off the beach property. It would be an eyesore, they said, plus, he wasn't allowed to camp there anyways. The young man obliged, mainly because he didn't want to cause a scene and have the cops get called on him. He could talk his way out of a lot of things, but unfortunately, some of the detectives were rather smart, and Zayn didn't want to get sent back home or have his brother, who didn't even know he was living on the streets of Hickstead, called in.
Still, nineteen year old boys weren't known for their smarts, and sure enough, Zayn was back at the 'scene of the crime' a day or two later - his van left behind. His jaw had dropped when he saw the yacht club or whomever had erected a temporary building right where his van had been on the beach. Beyond towards the pier, chocolate brown eyes could see flowers and backdrops had been carted in to create some sort of Wonderland. Rich people being weird he supposed, seemed like something his parents might have done.
Zayn knew he should leave, this would be done in a few days, and then he could just return his van back to where he had been parked. But now he was curious to see what else had caused the people to drive him away. Hoping he didn't look too out of sorts, Zayn hovered by the temporary building, whistling, before ducking in. As his brown eyes adjusted, Zayn was greeted by the smell of fresh alfalfa and horse, followed by a few curious heads peering out at him, "Well I hope you ladies and gents enjoy this part of the beach, because I'm coming it back when they move you." He waltzed up to a horse now, just to get a closer look as it extended its velvety nose to bump him in investigation.
Calli didn't really care for the rich people's shenanigans. She saw plenty of it at school and realized that she would see a lot of her classmates at the event. Or at least, their parents and families Calli was only going to care for some of the horses. The barns were asking for groomers and Stall cleaners. Since Alana wasn't open today and Calli wanted the extra cash, she took it.
She arrived at the time she was asked and got two hordes ready with the help of some other staff. Next, was the horse that her boss would be riding. Calli didn't see her boss as a horse riding type, but she did know that horse racing was a big thing for her family.
Calli walked out and saw some man talking to the horses. “Oi,” she called out. “What are you doing?” Calli didn't know who he was and what he was doing. Maybe it was because these horses were under her care that she had to be extra careful. But in the midst of it, she didn't know how her voice would be reacted to by the horses.
