Unlike the rest of her family, Roisin doesn't believe in being polite, patient, or obedient, in fact, she's quite the opposite. Sheamus and Aisiling call their youngest 'willful', which is a tactful word for a variety of words, such as high maintenance, strong willed, and very, very impatient. Given her home schooling and sheltered life style, nobody is quite certain how Roisin turned out this way but ever since she was a little girl, she always wanted to go against the current and would do so kicking and screaming. It got worse as a teenager but seemed to blow over by the time she was allowed to go to University, airing out what they thought was pent up attitude. Roisin thrives at University, even if it's only part time, carving out her own little niche where she is the social butterfly that she always wanted to be and the center of the universe. She isn't with Shiloh's crew, but this young woman knows how to hold her own with an award winning, popular girl attitude that even teen show would be jealous of. Not a soul could say something bad about Roisin Malloy, well, at least not to her face. the history father • Sheamus, 67 - orchard owner mother • Aisling, 66 - orchard owner siblings • DAISY GRACE MALLOY 30, Orchard hand/Pastry artist; Liam, 27, orchard hand important people • n/a hometown • hickstead, uk overall history • Roisin was born the youngest of three to Irish immigrants Sheamus and Aisling Malloy and was raised in the outskirts of Hickstead on their farmstead. Like her siblings before her, Roisin was raised sheltered, being homeschooled and working on the family orchard much to her young annoyance. The upbringing and farm work robbed her of a somewhat normal childhood. Work was all the Malloy knew, as there wasn’t any time for games or seeing a movie, and, perhaps, a lack of time to make childhood friends. Unlike Daisy and Liam, the youngest Malloy bemoaned the ideas of hanging out with the older generation of the farming community, and didn't seem to fair well with the children either. Roisin often cherished the small times that they were able to leave the property and go into town for whatever little goods they needed that their farmstead did not provide. She often called them escape days, for she got to see with her big eyes what the outside world looked like and what normal people did. Or well, none farm people. Roisin was often distracted by the sights of window shopping on High Street, not that she or her family could afford such perks, but the candy coated colors of material goods and electronics always pulled her in and caused her to be dragged away kicking and screaming. The young girl wanted what she couldn't have, and no amount of reason or schooling could make her see reason. As she grew, as well as her studies, Roisin gained access to the two things that would grant her freedom - a library card and a driver's license. The library was needed for school for there were books and computers to help with research, and while Roisin used it as such, she also used it as an excuse to escape the farmstead. She began to lead her double live, the simple farm girl for her parents and siblings (although they probably knew what she was doing), and the wild child of Hickstead that Roisin always wanted to be. She leave and return to the farmstead always looking the same, but she would often change on the road or at the library to become a different girl, away from those confining country roots. Three years later, Roisin was finally able to apply to Hickstead University, and while she could not afford to be a full fledge student (even with aid and scholarship), she was able to become a part time student. It opened her world, being able to hang out with her fellow students, go to parties, and be with people whom Roisin felt truly understood her and what she wants out of life. Hickstead University soon became her main stomping grounds, her work at the Malloy Orchard taking a hit and she was often gone more than she was home. Her first year truly wild between discovering her sexuality, instagram, youtube, alcohol, and other such things. Once the hell year was over though, Roisin mellowed out, perhaps to the relief of her parents, while they had no idea what their youngest was up to, they knew she was absent, both physically and mentally. Now, at twenty one, Roisin finally has finally figured out the balance of her two worlds, and she keeps them neatly separated, to even include a fake instagram of 'farmgirl' Roisin, hiding her real one and self. When not at University or partying downtown, she can be found on the Malloy's, smiling behind the cashier at the farm shop and day dreaming of escape. the role player alias • forever age • oldd other characters • the herd |
