”what seems to be the problem?” He moved into the room and sat down in the chair Shiloh dumped him in, sliding off his shoe so he could take off his sock and roll up the bottom of his jeans, allowing the nurse to assess the damage. ”Messed my ankle up tonight, not sure if it’s broken.” His eyes rested on the swollen ankle while he held back a grimace, gripping the sides of the bed as the nurse began to touch and press down in different areas before moving back to her desk to do something on her computer. ”It seems to be a bad sprain but you’ll need an x-ray to rule out a break.” The woman disappeared out of the room for a moment and Mal turned to look back at Shiloh. ”If it’s broken I’m suing.” He grumbled. He stood up on his good foot as the nurse pushed a wheelchair in, whisking him away to get the x-ray.
He returned a short while later and moved to sit back on the chair while the nurse grabbed everything she needed to strap his ankle. ”congratulations, it’s not broken.” His brow lifted at the tone but he let it slide. The nurse was obviously pissed at having to work the Friday night shift and in a hurry to get the next person in. Once his ankle was bandaged, he was given a pair of crutches to walk out on. Mal leant down to grab his shoe, stuffing the sock inside before holding it out to Shiloh. ”Grab that blondie.” He said, standing up and putting the crutches under each arm.
She dumped Mal somewhat unceremoniously into the chair and then took her own. Her role was done, she would certainly not be stooping herself to helping him remove his clothes. He had no issue doing that himself on a daily basis. Today was no different. Instead she pulled out her phone for a moment, firing off a couple of important texts - it was priority to keep in the loop about things. A couple of minions had been gathering intel on a new classmate, but none of it was any good so far. She told them to go back and do better. Then she let the group know that Mal wasn't dead but that his foot might be in need of amputation. To which Dei sent a stupid gif, and Alisha told Shi she should give the poor guy a BJ for pain relief. She pulled an ugly face at that and sent back the vomit emoji. Theia didn't reply, she rarely did unless Shi poked her for an answer, and no doubt her response would be that she was clearly overreacting. Very dull.
”Messed my ankle up tonight, not sure if it’s broken.” Shi looked up in time to see Mal's expression as the nurse poked on his ankle. She couldn't help but smirk slightly and tell him to "Stop being such a pussy." A comment which had the nurse glancing her way with a reproachful look. Shi gave her a look of disgust right back. ”It seems to be a bad sprain but you’ll need an x-ray to rule out a break.” All that for a sprain. Men. ”If it’s broken I’m suing.” Shi smirked again at that. "Yes dear. And if it's not, I am. You practically broke my back hobbling in." and then the wheelchair was rolled in and she couldn't help but laugh, just a little. "Off you go, old man Mal." She waved him off as they took him away to x-ray. She was just starting to get bored when he returned, keeping herself busy with her communications. ”congratulations, it’s not broken.” Shi rolled her eyes and glanced at Mal. "Guess you'll hear from my lawyer in due course." not being serious of course, but unsurprisingly there was a family lawyer she'd reached out to on a few occasions.
She folded her arms to watch the grumpy nurse fix him up, and the slid her phone into her pocket and stood, taking a moment to stretch. What an exciting night. ”Grab that blondie.” Shi curled her lip. "Not on your life .." She grimaced, wishing for a pair of gloves or chopsticks as it was thrust at her all the same. "Ew gross." She complained, but was nice enough not to throw it in the bin on their way out, even holding the door open for his majesty so he didn't get himself injured further.
