”don’t be jealous.” She rolled her eyes, "You can keep nuestra madre," A smug look curled the edges of her lips, "we all know I've got the whole crew wrapped around my pinkie." She waggled it at him for emphasis, not that she played on it - only very occasionally - but being one of the few women in the crew, the men naturally kept an eye. She was not a vulnerable person, but you were more likely to get nabbed as the woman in the gang than one of the men for revenge or blackmail. It had only almost happened to her a handful of times, and only once had someone had to step in to help. They'd never let her forget it either - assholes.
”I wasn’t planning on killing him, if I was, it wouldn’t be in a ring surrounded by people. Well it’s possible. . I did think that at the time, it was weird for her to just take off when we were supposed to leave together.” She made a face at him, 'duh', and then frowned. "Didn't just get cold feet? You're not as good looking as you think you are, you know." She shrugged, though she knew she was pushing at his buttons somewhat and she sighed, reining herself in before he could snap. She winced, making a grunt of pain as he elbowed her sore ribs. ”Watch it.” and she elbowed him right back - a little harder than necessary. ”She doesn't have a Barbie brain. .but who knows what was going through her head when she left.” Zira snorted slightly. "Your biased because you used to see her naked. She was a Barbie brain, especially if she was foolish enough to go to the other side."
"You can keep nuestra madre, we all know I've got the whole crew wrapped around my pinkie." He grinned and rolled his eyes ”I will keep her, true but that’s not necessarily a good thing.” It meant more people were always watching, probably waiting for someone to fuck up and come to the rescue. The gang always had their backs but there were always a couple of power hungry members that were on the look out to make themselves look good to their father. "Didn't just get cold feet? You're not as good looking as you think you are, you know." He gave her a pointed look as he nudged past her, taking note of the grunt of pain she made as he elbowed her ribs. He hadn’t put much pressure into it, interesting. "Your biased because you used to see her naked. She was a Barbie brain, especially if she was foolish enough to go to the other side." He swatted at her arm as she elbowed him and shook his head as he walked away from her before it was his turn to try and throw her over the edge of the pier. His ex may have broken him but he still didn’t like hearing people talk shit about her. ”She didn’t go to the other side Z, she upped and disappeared, she had no reason to come back. The idiot clearly just wanted to try and throw me off before the match but unlucky for him, he didn’t know what my temper was like.”

”I will keep her, true but that’s not necessarily a good thing.” She rolled her eyes, not wanting to agree it was true. "hijo de mami" There was a reason he had been sent here - because her father wanted to keep tabs, even though she could hide easy enough from her brother if she wanted, or at least make it difficult for him to report back. She loved him but she didn't forget the reason he was here. She ignored his pointed look and following him as he went to walk away.
She knew she was needling him, being a bit of a bitch but she couldn't herself - she was just a tad annoyed that he was here. She'd rather he be here cause he wanted to see his sibling, not that he'd been hiding out to watch her for several weeks. Giving him space as he walked ahead, she knew she'd crossed the line a little, but he was going to have to get over it. People would say worse. ”She didn’t go to the other side Z, she upped and disappeared, she had no reason to come back. The idiot clearly just wanted to try and throw me off before the match but unlucky for him, he didn’t know what my temper was like.” She pressed her lips together and then shrugged, there was no point getting into an argument about it. "Agree to disagree, I don't think she's as innocent as you like to believe." She glanced out across the water and pulled to a stop to lean against the railing. "Well whatever it is, she's gone, so what does it matter what they say." Because he clearly still loved her, that was why, but if she wasn't coming back he'd have to move on some day.
"hijo de mami" He rolled his eyes and shrugged. He was and he wouldn’t deny it. He ran a hand through his hair as he inhaled deeply, calming himself down and ridding himself of the pissed off feeling that filled him. "Agree to disagree, I don't think she's as innocent as you like to believe. Well whatever it is, she's gone, so what does it matter what they say." He glanced back as she paused at the railing again, turning on his heel to face her. ”Whatever. . and cause it’s disrespectful.” He’d have done the exact same thing if somebody was bad-mouthing his sister or mother. As dodgy as he and his family was, respecting women had been drilled into him growing up. ”Enough about Izzie anyway.” He was done talking about her for now. As much as he hated to admit it, he was still hurt by the whole thing. He still thought something was off with her leaving but that rabbit hole was for another day. He reached over to poke her ribs. ”What happened there anyway?”

She smirked when he rolled his eyes but didn't deny it - there was nothing wrong with being mama's boy, but then he couldn't go poking holes at her for being father's favourite. This street ran two ways - unfortunately for their other sibling, he was nobody's favourite. She shut up for a second - just one though - as she watched him process it all, waiting for him to lash out at her. Tempers always ran high in their family, no matter the topic. ”Whatever. . and cause it’s disrespectful.” Zira waved her hand dismissively with a noise, but she didn't bother to continue, clearly her brother had not yet gotten over the loss. Yet another reason why she didn't enter into relationships - complicated, unnecessary and messy - and then you ended up like her brother; heart broken and unable to accept the hard truths. Along with very easy to wind up.
”Enough about Izzie anyway.” Giving a snort she muttered a small, "gracias Dios" but raised an eyebrow, wondering what tact he was about to go down now. She caught the hand movement just before he could actually poke her, dancing away from the intrusion. Asshole. ”What happened there anyway?” Zira pinned him with a look, "You've been following me around for the last however many days, you tell me." She countered, but she doubted he'd managed to watch her fight with the cocky bastard from the boxing ring. Giving a shrug, she refrained from touching them; always best not to show weakness. "Got in a fight at the gym, the lads were holding back - this one didn't."
It was quite amusing how their elder brother turned out being neither of their parent’s favourite. First the worse and all that. He rubbed a hand through his short hair which he wasn’t used to, having recently shaved it off. "gracias Dios He rolled his eyes and smirked as she dodged his finger; confirming that she was injured. "You've been following me around for the last however many days, you tell me.” He snorted and shrugged. ”I checked in on you a couple of times Z, I’m not stalking your every move. eso es espeluznante.(That’s creepy.)” He leant against the railing as she spoke. "Got in a fight at the gym, the lads were holding back - this one didn't.” He gave a nod and folded his arms across his chest. ”Still. . you can usually hold your own.”
26 - smart ass - blood thirsty - impulsive - single
She ignored the smirk, deciding it was best not to bring attention to the injury, but knowing he was going to hold onto it just the raze the shit out of her whilst he could. They'd always been this way, bantering and taunting and teasing the crap out of each other, she didn't know if it was a sibling thing or just their family - her other brother was more measured, and less prone to taunting remarks, but Zira had always been closer to Dante, probably for that reason exactly. ”I checked in on you a couple of times Z, I’m not stalking your every move. eso es espeluznante.(That’s creepy.)”
Zira sighed and raised a brow at him, "You are creepy," she retorted, not one of her best but she couldn't be bothered to try. "I figured dad would have you checking out what brand of cereal I'm buying, not just the odd 'check in'," She had no doubt the idea had been close tabs, not just a glance from afar to see she had two arms and two legs attached. Now she did roll her eyes again, frowning at his remark. ”Still. . you can usually hold your own.”"I did, but he decided to play outside the rules." And she knew he was probably going to bring that up next too.
"You are creepy," He rolled his eyes at the childish remark, not bothering to say something back. "I figured dad would have you checking out what brand of cereal I'm buying, not just the odd 'check in'," He smirked, shrugging his shoulders lazily. ”I can bullshit pops when I need to, he doesn’t need to know your every move like he doesn’t need to know mine.” He said, enjoying the freedom of not being under his thumb every day. "I did, but he decided to play outside the rules.” He snorted and shook his head with a mock tut. ”Since when has that every got in your way? I never play by the rules, even when we were fighting growing up.” He’d never been one to follow the rules, which had unfortunately came back to bite him on the ass, ending his mma career for too many illegal moves which led to the move to underground fighting. He looked at her, his lips curling into a playful smirk. ”Don’t tell me you’re getting sloppy sis”

”I can bullshit pops when I need to, he doesn’t need to know your every move like he doesn’t need to know mine.” Zira gave a ridiculously girlie gasp and put a hand to her check in mock shock, "you bullshit pa? bueno, nunca lo hubiera esperado! You are such a besar el culo" She grinned, making a kissing noise and then laughing. She had to admit she'd missed winding the asshole up. Their other brother had always been a few braincells short, a brute but a soft hearted one underneath it all - Dante she had always enjoyed the sharp tongue banter with, the wittiness of word play.
She rolled her eyes in an exaggerated manner at his tut. Like she needed the reprimand. ”Since when has that every got in your way? I never play by the rules, even when we were fighting growing up.” Zira huffed, she was plenty annoyed at the way things had gone herself but there was no point crying over it now. Giving a shrug she wandered along the path, "Like I could forget that," She'd earned plenty of un-girlie-like bruises and scrapes from her brothers, but she'd grown up fighting and loved it. ”Don’t tell me you’re getting sloppy sis” An eyebrow quirked as she gave him a look, "Are you looking for rematch, bro?" She snorted, "No, but when you're in the boxing ring, throwing the shit he did gets you barred. It wasn't a legitimate match, I should have been expecting some bullshit, but it was still crap."

Dante rolled his eyes at his sister, giving her a look as she took the piss. "you bullshit pa? bueno, nunca lo hubiera esperado! You are such a besar el culo" He waited for her to finish before going to poke her in her tender ribcage. ”callate. .if I’m a besar el culo then what are you?” He countered. "Like I could forget that," He smirked as a few memories played through his mind of their childhood fights. It had his and Diego’s job to teach Zira how to defend herself properly. Although their dad wasn’t one to hold back in sessions with his sons, he still had a soft spot for Zira. Dante however had no problem holding back. An opponent in real life wouldn’t hold back so why give her a false sense of security. "Are you looking for rematch, bro?””Anytime sunshine” He grinned. "No, but when you're in the boxing ring, throwing the shit he did gets you barred. It wasn't a legitimate match, I should have been expecting some bullshit, but it was still crap." He ran a hand through his growing hair and narrowed his eyes slightly. ”Well now you know what his moves are, you can kick his ass when you see him again.”

She returned his look with a smile of her own, the kind she always returned to him when he gave her that brotherly look. She saw the poke coming and danced away from it again with a warning hiss. ”callate. .if I’m a besar el culo then what are you?” Her smile became a smirk and she tilted her head, pretending to look innocent. "La favorita intocable" She gave a flick of her long hair to add to her point, even though she knew it wasn't technically true. Her father's favourite potentially, because of her gender, but her mother's not so much - that spot was surely reserved for Dante. Once again she felt mildly sorry for their third sibling - but it didn't last long.
She didn't like talking about her failures though, even as small as her match with Greg. Zira had no trouble accepting her faults and her mistakes, but she didn't like to keep harping on about it. ”Anytime sunshine” Zira snorted at that, "Alright, I'll see you in the ring then," She had no qualms with seeing him in there for a match; it had been a while since she'd had a pop at her brother and it would be interesting to see if their styles had developed. ”Well now you know what his moves are, you can kick his ass when you see him again.” A wicked grin spread across her face and she gave a slight nod. "Oh I intend on it. "él no sabrá qué lo golpeó."
( Translation - 'the untouchable favourite ... he won't know what hit him' )
"La favorita intocable" He let out a sarcastic snort and rolled his eyes at the innocent look she tried to portray. ”Favourite, maybe, untouchable, no.” He said, reaching over to poke her arm, giving her ribs a break this time. "Alright, I'll see you in the ring then," He gave her a sadistic smile and cracked his knuckles. ”Name a time and place hermana.” It had been a while since he’d fought with her and he was curious to see if her moves had gotten sloppy during her time in England – which by the sounds of it, they had. "Oh I intend on it. "él no sabrá qué lo golpeó.” He shook his head, smirking at the cruel grin on her face. ”Correction, he will know what hit him, he just won’t see it coming” If the guy was anything like his younger self, he’d be going into the fight a cocky little shit, expecting to kick her ass again, underestimating her – leaving his guard down, allowing her to go in for the kill.

She shook her head at his snort, letting out a tut that would make their mother proud. ”Favourite, maybe, untouchable, no.” She raised a brow, "how much are you willing to put on that bet?" She asked, sure that she could find a way to test that theory easily enough; probably in one call to their father - as much as that would burn her independence bridge just a little. Realistically no she was not untouchable, she'd seen the belt as much as her brothers over the years for acting like a brat or a dick, and nobody had ever gone easy on her in the ring because of who she was, but she liked winding Dante up all the same.
”Name a time and place hermana.” A quirk of her eyebrow and she shrugged, fending him off quickly at his attempt to poke her. "One more time and this time you will go over the rail," She warned - she was perfectly capable of it, height and weight differences aside. "Tomorrow, 9pm, hermano." She added - the gym would be quieter at that time. She didn't care for an audience or not but it would give them more space and it would be less likely they'd have to wait for the ring to be free; she hated waited. ”Correction, he will know what hit him, he just won’t see it coming” She gave a low laugh and nodded, unable to help cracking her knuckles at the thought. "I'll take his balls with me for victory - just to remind him of what happens when he fucks with a woman." Which was a surprisingly un-bloodthirsty comment for Zira.
"how much are you willing to put on that bet?" He shrugged, giving her a smirk. "£100?" He knew she wouldn't go running back to their dad if she still wanted to prove she was doing fine by herself. "One more time and this time you will go over the rail," He snorted and held up his hands in surrender. He wasn't in the mood to swim with the fishes. "Tomorrow, 9pm, hermano." He shot her a smug smile and held out his hand to shake "you're on." It had been too long since he had been in a ring. "I'll take his balls with me for victory - just to remind him of what happens when he fucks with a woman." A sadistic smile crossed his lips at her words and he bumped his hip against hers. "when he fucks with a delgado woman especially."

”I wasn’t planning on killing him, if I was, it wouldn’t be in a ring surrounded by people. Well it’s possible. . I did think that at the time, it was weird for her to just take off when we were supposed to leave together.” Zira raised a brow and bit her tongue for a moment, not something she did very often. Her brother was a rare exception. She didn't sugar coat shit but she was only too aware of how sensitive this topic was and she loved him - just about - so she didn't really want to fuck him off. It was kind of nice to see him again, even though it hadn't been all that long. A familiar face, or his anyway, was always welcome despite her initial frustration about why he was there. After a moment she blew out a harsh breath and shrugged. "People do get cold feet you know, brother. Perhaps you weren't satisfying enough for her." she couldn't help but rib him a little bit. Not that she liked thinking about that part of her brother's life but they had never been prudes.
Zira hissed as he elbowed her ribs and she glared at him, going to punch him in the arm in response. ”Watch it.” Zira kissed her teeth in annoyance and rolled her eyes. "She left you, Dante, time to get over it and realize her for the bitch she was." She knew he wouldn't like this either but she didn't care. The idiot had broken her brother's heart after all. ”She doesn't have a Barbie brain. .but who knows what was going through her head when she left" Zira shrugged, giving him a side eye as she kept up beside him. "Exactly, who knows. It's not worth stewing on."
