She grew up surrounded by Gaucho culture and the elegance of Russian Ballet and Salsa. Unfortunately, she was born with Congenital Limb defect. Everything from the knee up was fully developed, but her lower legs did not develop, leaving two small nubs. Despite, being in a wheelchair all her life, Nulpi still founds ways to enjoy the culture and actions both her parents participated in. Yara introduced Nulpi to classical and salsa music, from her performances on stage and video. Her love of horses and watching riders comes from her father. Jorge always competed in the traditional Gaucho Competition, often leading in Corrida de Sortija. This of course also riled jealousy, as Nulpi was never trusted to ride at such high speeds. Let alone, ride a horse by herself. Her jealously for her father’s success and her stepbrother’s growing achievements, made her lose interest in the Gaucho and equine culture for years until the family relocated. With the death of her mother’s father, Thomas, the Fisher-Vargas family relocated to Hickstead when Nulpi was fifteen. It wasn’t the ideal situation for everyone, but it was a well-needed change, especially with the political state of the country. Santino adjusted well, but Nulpi felt betrayed. She loved living in Argentina and the major cultural shifts shoved her into a dark hole. She purposely didn’t make friends or try to talk to others her age, as she had no idea if they were to be uprooted again. Nulpi dove into playing piano and computer programming. Both were things she could do without anyone bothering her. Her parents saw the activities as coping with change, not picking up the lack of their daughter’s social skills. After five years, Nulpi broke out of her shell enough to help her mother at the family Antique store and apply her data entry and computer skills at small firms that needed help. She still finds platonic relations useless, but she will hold a conversation. Don’t expect her to start a conversation or seek one out. Her love of horses came back when she witnessed the horses at her father’s and brother’s work being cared for. Nulpi hopes to get a horse of her own to ride and care for. While she still hates not being fully independent with the equine, she convinces herself that seeing and being around them is enough. Nulpi still lives with her parents with hopes of moving out soon. She still loses herself in her piano practice, computer work, and her love of oddities. Yara and Jorge, hoping to get their daughter to be more independent, got Nulpi into a service dog program. Una the black lab joined the family in July of 2019. the role player alias • Aofie age • 25 other characters • lots |
