Tegan let out a small yawn. He wasn’t expecting to be out and about this late, but he had agreed to participate in a job fair. The city library had wanted to host something for local university students to come in and stop by. Many were short-term summer gigs, but a few were there for part-time or full-time options.
Helping Hooves was mainly there for volunteering, but also for awareness. Tegan didn’t know if being in the city was the best, but there were a lot of universities more central to Willow Bridge than Hickstead. Plus, it would allow Tegan to get out a bit more. While he loved the farms and the small town, the city was welcoming too.
It didn’t take long for him to get set up. He had the banner, some flyers, and an email list. Tegan wasn’t going to be completely alone. Piper was with him as she was available. It would give each other time to have breaks as well. Armed with warm beverages and plenty of treats, the pair waited for the crowds to be let loose.
