Tenaya was looking forward to having a trail ride. She invited Olympia and Nemo to join them on what could be the last outdoor ride of the season. They had hung out a few times during the school year and the summer but had a bit of a break hanging out as Olympia started teaching again.
The woman brushed her blue roan gelding, ensuring he was clean before loading him on the trailer. She was confident enough in her driving to drive herself - knowing that Olympia rode at Seven Oaks and wouldn't be needing a ride there. She drove off towards the beginning of the mountain trail, parking in the trailer parking lot before hopping out of her truck. She opened the back of the trailer, smiling to see the back end of the familiar gelding. The blonde stepped inside, clipping her lead rope to the halter and backing the gelding off of the trailer.
As the gelding was already brushed, she began tacking him up on the side of the trailer. The patterned saddle pad was gently thrown onto the back of the horse, followed quickly by the western saddle. She grabbed the cinch from the small tack room in the trailer and tightened it up. The woman heard hoofbeats approaching, waving over at the other blonde woman. "Hey! Perfect timing, I'm almost done getting Coltrane ready. How is your day going so far?"
