Morgan was up and at the gym bright and early. It was her turn to teach the six A.M Spin class, which was her favorite. Most people were still asleep but her students were motivated, always wanting to get a workout in before they headed off to work or school.
She scanned her pass and opened the glass door. There were already a few people in the gym but she was the first to arrive for class. The woman walked into the room and flicked on the lights - beginning to set up her own bike. Morgan plugged her phone into the AUX cord and with a few taps of her finger the music was ready.
The red head set up her bike, changing the seat height and the handlebars to her preferred setting. She turned her head to face the door and saw someone enter. "Good Morning!" She greeted cheerfully.
Riley stifled a yawn as she parked her car outside of the gym. She didn't mind early mornings but she did enjoy sleeping in if her body allowed - this morning it hadn't. She grabbed her water bottle and towel from the passenger seat then got out of the car, clicking the button to lock it as she closed the door behind her. She walked into the building and scanned her pass, moving through the gates when they opened and heading towards the gym. She'd only just re-joined the gym after coming back home and was hoping to do one of her old classes. Riley had been back in town for a couple of weeks now but hadn't done much exercise besides riding and she needed to get her act together.
She walked down the hall to where the studio was, a frown creasing in between her eyebrows as she saw the class had been cancelled. dammit. she sighed and walked into the gym area, glancing around. she didn't really feel like spending an hour on the treadmill. spying the lights of the spinning studio, she went over and peered through the glass, curious as to what it was like. shrugging, she pushed open the door and walked inside. she'd ever done spin in her life but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. "Good Morning!" She smiled at the red head as she was greeted. "Morning!" She moved to a bike and adjusted the seat to her level then glanced back to the teacher. "I've never done spin before so no idea what i'm doing." She said with a slight grin.

The red head was surprised to see that it wasn’t one of her regulars. She was always happy to have new clients in her class however. “Welcome! So glad you can join us this morning.” She adjusted her bike and walked over to the other woman. “My name’s Morgan. Please let me know if you need help before we start.”
Morgan greeted a few more people that came into their class - recognizing most of them. “So your seat should be in line with your hip and just make sure you don’t have to reach too far forward with the handlebars.” She explained with a smile. “You’ll need weights as well, they are just in the crates over here.” Morgan pointed to the three crates beside her bike. They had different sizes depending on what people were comfortable with. She walked over and got herself a pair of five pound weights and set them on her bike, picking up her water bottle and taking a sip. The woman snapped the lid on the bottle and began stretching her legs - preparing them for a nice heavy workout.
“Welcome! So glad you can join us this morning. My name’s Morgan. Please let me know if you need help before we start.” She smiled at the women’s enthusiasm; half wishing she’d had the chance for a coffee this morning to feel as perky. ”I’m Riley.” She introduced herself then moved over to one of the bikes, glancing up as the red head gave her some instructions. “So your seat should be in line with your hip and just make sure you don’t have to reach too far forward with the handlebars. You’ll need weights as well, they are just in the crates over here.” She glanced at the bike and began to move the seat a little higher as she listened to the woman’s voice. She aligned her hip with the seat then looked up to see where Morgan was pointing to the weights. ”Thanks.” She went over and grabbed some 2kg weights, opting for lighter ones as she’d never done the class before. Seeing Morgan start to warm up, she began to do her typical mobility routine she did before her usual gym sessions.

"Nice to meet you." She smiled before greeting the next few clients come in. She stretched her left arm up and over her head, pulling it gently towards the right.
"So, what makes you want to try Spin and especially this early in the morning?" The red head asked. Not everyone wanted to be up at the crack of dawn, though it was Morgan's favorite time to teach. Most people were asleep - which meant it was quiet enough for her to hear her own thoughts. Morgan switched arms, now stretching her right arm to the left.
"We will get started with class in a few minutes. Everyone take the time to stretch a bit longer before we get on the bikes." The woman announced, after checking her watch. She tried her best to start her class on time, being respectful of the participants and the next instructor's time.
She did one more stretch before standing up to close the door of the Spin room - signaling to the rest of the gym that the class was about to begin.
Nice to meet you."”And you” She said with a smile. Riley lowered one knee to the floor and planted the opposite foot forward, pushing her hips forward slightly in order to warm them up. The right side of her groin had been twinging lately so she made sure to spend a few extra minutes in the stretch once she’d swapped over. "So, what makes you want to try Spin and especially this early in the morning?" She looked up at the woman with a slightly sheepish smile. ”Ah well. . my usual class was cancelled and I didn’t want a wasted journey so I thought I’d give this a try.” She stood back up and did a few arm circles, warming up her shoulders before moving on to air squats to get the blood pumping in her legs. We will get started with class in a few minutes. Everyone take the time to stretch a bit longer before we get on the bikes." She gave a small nod, moving back to the bike after she had finished stretching and climbed on, ready to start.

Morgan nodded before she pulled her red hair back, using the scrunchie on her wrist to tie her hair back. It was custom for her, she didn't want the hair to fall in her face during class - especially since she tended to talk during class.
She walked over to her bike and began adjusting the seat and the handlebars. "Well, I do hope you enjoy the class! We pedal to the beat of the music and I go through the different moves before we start." She turned her head and smiled. It was a little repetitive for the people that usually attended, but she usually had a new person or two every time she taught.
"What class do you usually attend?" She asked as she finished fixing the height of her seat. Morgan then moved to tightening her handlebars as soon as it was adjusted to the correct height.
Morgan glanced over to make sure no one needed help. It seemed that everyone was ready to go, so she got herself on her bike, making sure her feet were flat before she started to pedal.
"Good Morning everyone, welcome to the six AM spin class. Just start warming up your legs by pedaling and I'll get some music started here shortly." She said, pedaling the bike as she turned her head to start some music on her laptop.
"Well, I do hope you enjoy the class! We pedal to the beat of the music and I go through the different moves before we start." She placed her feet in the pedals and rested her hands on the handles, waiting to start. "Okay sounds fun." She smiled. "What class do you usually attend?" She took a quick sip of her water while Morgan sorted out her bike. "Uh just the body pump. . a mix of cardio and weights." She answered with a small smile. "Good Morning everyone, welcome to the six AM spin class. Just start warming up your legs by pedaling and I'll get some music started here shortly." Riley began pedalling when Morgan did, taking a quick glance around to make sure everyone else was doing the same.

"Then I think you are in the right spot, this should be pretty similar to your usual class." She gave her class another smile, double checking to make sure everyone was on their bike correctly. It made for a more difficult class if the bike wasn't set up properly.
She turned her head to her laptop and started some up beat music from her laptop that was on a desk beside her. "Alright, let's go over the hand positions. So, if you put your hands on the part of the handlebars closest to your legs with your knuckles facing forward, this is position number one." She moved her hands to the right spot and sat down in the saddle.
Her eyes glanced across the room again, making sure her students were comfortable with it. "I'd like to give a warm welcome to our newest rider, Riley. Let's not scare her off.." Morgan smiled, hoping not to embarrass her newest student. She truly wanted everyone to enjoy her class and return as often as they wanted.
"Then I think you are in the right spot, this should be pretty similar to your usual class." Riley glanced around the room wondering how being on a bike was similar to her usual class but she smiled anyway, assuming the girl meant the cardio aspect of things. "Alright, let's go over the hand positions. So, if you put your hands on the part of the handlebars closest to your legs with your knuckles facing forward, this is position number one." She listened to Morgan’s directions and moved her hands into the position shown, ready to begin. "I'd like to give a warm welcome to our newest rider, Riley. Let's not scare her off.." Her eyes glanced up as she was introduced to the class and she gave a small smile as she glanced around the room at the other riders before looking back to Morgan to start the class.

Everyone clapped for the new rider. Morgan knew that none of her usual clients would scare anyone new off - it was much too early in the morning for that. "Alright, position number two is the same but just rotate your hands and put them at the bottom of the handlebars like this." She did as she said, continuing to pedal. "Now use position number one if you need a break. This second one if it's a race."
She took a few more heavy pedals and brought her hands up to the tops of the handle bars. "This is number four and we will be here when we do a climb. I'll ask you to do pumps and dips." She turned her elbows out when she mentioned pumps and brought her elbows back and brought her body closer to the handle bars when dips were mentioned. "And finally, number five is just your hands on top." Morgan put her hands on top of the upside down U shaped bar between the handle bars.
"Most importantly, the knob between your knees controls the heaviness. Make it as easy or as difficult as you'd like." She gave hers two good cranks to the right, slowing her legs down. "Any questions before we start?"
