brief history: growing up on a small horse farm on the outskirts of verona, ethan grew up learning italian, fighting with his brothers, annoying his sister and pretty much just having as much fun as a kid can have. his father trained horses for a living, andalusions were his father's horse of choice, but ethan never much liked those horses. they could be too dainty, he loved the horses that took work, that you had to train to look like that, after all, it was in a spanish horses blood to look good. growing up in italy had it's advantages, he has a great love of italian food now. but he was disappointed when his father shipped him and his siblings to a boarding school in england, the day he started highschool.

his parents were english, so they wanted their kids to know their home country and ethan understood that, but he still found it hard to cope with, especially going from a strict father, to a more laid-back school. though away from italy, ethan began to think about his future, and what his father had told him. his older brother was hopeless with horse's he'd rather spend all his time drawing than working with the animals, and his sister had decided long ago that living on a farm was not how she pictured her life and she had moved to the city, to live in the glitz and glamour of the party life. so it fell to ethan, who didnt really want the farm, but he'd said he'd take it to his father, not understanding there was other things he wanted at that time.

but being in england changed this, he played sports at school, he was on the soccer team, the hockey team, and he was even on the chess team at one point, but that had bored him, he'd always been more of a team player really. but it struck him that he didn't want to train horses for a living, he wanted to do more.. the only thing left was to tell his father, well as ethan knew, it didn't go down very well. when he told his father he was going to move back to england for good, well his father had blown up, lost the plot. after hours of yelling, it was decided that ethan would be cut from the funding his father gave all his children and he would have to get by on his own if he was going to take such a stupid job, his father's words.

so after a flight back ethan started university and took an online course and moved around the country taking jobs, not many of them lasted, as they were only seasonal and he finally settled in hickstead, tired of packing boxes and moving, so he decided this would be his last move. having ridden horses since he could walk, ethan looked for jobs at the local stable, he had been doing show jumping for years, his favourite thing to do on a horse, other than cross country, so he started on a trial base two years ago and he hasn't looked back. by day he works at the barn and by night, he's a bouncer at the local nightclub. needing the two jobs to pay for the upkeep of his horses and pay rent and buy food, in that order too.
