Tre Constantine found himself sitting on a park bench, overlooking the what was probably the largest pond in the quiet town of Hickstead, mulling over his situation. It was still unreal to him that this is where he ended up. Tre supposed that's what he got for mouthing off to the Command Chain for the last training model at War College. He was now 'navel attaché' to the an Air Force base. Air Force! Which, really did put a whole new meaning on the catch phrase 'chair force'. It was funny behind here though, given that Tre had thought that War College had been the place that would be his career 'graveyard', only for Command to find a new place to stash him away until his eligible aka forced retirement.
As annoying it was being out in the middle of no where with a bunch of sheep, yes, they were literally outside the air force base, it was hard to complain about the trade off. Croughton was close enough to Hickstead, UK, where he could live there, and that had been what ended up being important to him. This little countryside and seaside town of England had been home to none other than one little farm to table bar and restaurant, Pirate's Bounty, which was own by none other than Grace and Quentin Constantine. His niece and nephew, along with another employee, Zola Constantine, his niece. A whole branch of his family had just been sitting here, working away and living their lives.
While his nieces and nephew had been delighted, Tre knew that his own sister and brother in law were simply thinking 'what have you done this time, tre'. The man couldn't fault them for that that way of thinking, it had essentially been Tre's tagline since, well, forever. Naturally though, and perhaps immaturely, Tre didn't really care on what his own siblings thought, or his parents, but it was different case when it came to the younger people in his life. Thankfully though all three of them, Grace, Quentin, and Zola, found no fault in his recent relocation. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the piece of printed paper, non classified of course, with his assigned orders for relocation to England.
The tone was strict and tight, as green eyes reread it now, already hearing the voice of RDML in his head. Sighing, Tre folded the piece of paper over and over, before it resembled a little boat. Pushing himself up to his feet now, Tre walked down to the edge of the pond and crouched. Gingerly, he placed the little paper boat on the water, and pushed it off onto it's own little mission to conquer the lake. Well, until the water took it to it's papery grave at least.
If you decide to, I'll ride in this life with you & I won't let go 'til the end ❦

the appearance
face claim• Tom Cruise
identifying features• Standing at a whooping 5 foot 8 inches (yes, we’re being sarcastic here), Tre is often considered a pint sized person – someone who can get away with the whole ‘im not short, I’m fun sized’ routine. Although, he prefers to avoid the height jokes if he can – something rather hard to pull off in a military setting. Tre doesn’t let his short stature get to him though, as he makes up in lean muscle what he lacks in height. He has dark brunette hair, that he tends to keep cropped short and even length on all sides, but there have been times where he’s allowed to let it grow out against regulation – before being yelled at that is. He has sharp green eyes, typically covered by aviators if he can help it on a sunny day and a lack of oblivious scars on his body. Given his age, he had not escaped the tribal tattoo phase of the 1990’s and has THIS SHOULDER TATTOO and THIS HALF SLEEVE

He appears lost at sea, without a direction in mind, to which others have stated that Tre has hardly grown up in the last fifty years and can earn the ire of his siblings. At family gatherings, he tends to get along with his nieces and nephews over that of the adults, with the jokes being that he should be relegated to the children’s table. Despite this, it’s hard to deny that he’s charismatic with just about anyone he meets and his lively attitude make it easy for him to win over strangers, knowing how to read a room. Tre thrives for adventure, and loves a challenge, especially if they push him out of his comfort zone. He lives for the moment, and has trained himself to pick up on nuanced changes in his surroundings or body signs. His time spent in the military has left him keenly calm in highly stressful situations. While Tre does not suffer from PTSD, he does occasionally have moments where he remembers painful situations and losses from the past - to which he goes to beach and watch the waves to honor those people he remembers and lost.
the history
father • Vasilis Constantine, 90, Retired mother • Helen Constantine, 89, Retired siblings • Giorgos (brother), Clio (sister) important people • Brielle Ivy Loates (first love); Grace, Quentin, and ZOLA SANIBEL CONSTANTINE (nieces & nephew) - located in Hickstead, UK hometown • Pearl Harbor; Hawaii, USA overall history • Tre was born to Vasilis and Helen Constantine in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, USA. His father having been stationed there as a member of the U.S. Navy. The youngest out of three children, his parents went lax on him for parenting – which was both a good thing and a bad thing growing up giving the nature of being a Navy brat and to the displeasure of his siblings. He was both awkward and rambunctious, often left to his own devise and tended to annoy his siblings. With Hawaii being their longest stationed, it was the place that Tre often refers to as home.
However, he soon learned that nothing lasts forever – at least not in the Navy, as his father’s position often had them uprooted from place to place every three to four years, depending on what was needed. The change was always hard on Tre, but he managed to bounce back each time before the next cycle. The hell yeas had been his middle school years, with the changes, and going from confident lad to shy and awkward, uncertain of his place and around girls, plus, for some reason, they all seemed to tower over him.
Thankfully, at least for feeling awkward, this seemed to only last until he was fourteen. His father’s new tour had relocated them to London, England, landing Tre in high school. While the girls there were still taller than him, the young man started to come into his own there - both in good looks and attitude. It was also at this prestigious international British school did he meet one Brielle Ivy Loates. Tre was smitten upon first sight, and he went big and bold when it came to flirting with her and asking her out during the second half of his first year there. By some miracle, she agreed, and so started their young romance.
While young and dumb, Tre was certain that this was what love was. Brielle was the first of many things for Tre. First serious date. First serious kiss and so on and so forth. He cared deeply for her, would constantly find himself doing anything for her, and was always willing to hang out. Sure, he had to also learn giving her space and that couples were allowed to spend time apart, but that was all part of the learning process. Tre never thought anything would come in between them. And then, there was college and the end of his father's tour in London. But Tre was determined to make things work, even when he got into one of the U.S. Military academies since his parents said he had to apply to something, and he didn't quite know what he wanted to do.
Tre managed to last a year as a solid long distance boyfriend while attending Military College, lasting off of snail mail and short long distance phone calls (with bills that angered his parents). But as his time continued, his classmates began to make comments about how he was whipped, or how Brielle had him by a leash. And sooner or later, Tre began to crack at those comments and quickly put true distance between him and his girlfriend, excuses mounting over not being able to attend functions with her in England, til finally, Tre unceremoniously landed the death blow by breaking up. He never had another serious relationship after Brielle - finding himself unable to commit and disliking the idea of being tied down - thanks all to the jarring of his fellow cadets.
Upon graduating and entering service, Tre found himself actually good at this whole military thing even to the surprise of himself. But he didn't always see eye to eye when it came to his commanding officers, feeling like tactics and stuff should be updated. Naturally, this tended to get Tre in trouble and it lead him down to a road of constantly pushing the limit, which would either reward him or get him in trouble, more often than not it was the latter. If things got contentious, it would become the dictating pathway to where Tre ended up in the world - most often, the desert, and several war zone tours. But he always made it out more or less unscathed physically, mentally though, he'd have a one or two hard losses that would linger on his mind.
Decades later, still growing up if you asked his family's opinion, two of Tre's nieces and nephews on his brother side, Grace and Quentin, requested his financial assistance in a business that they were hoping to open up in the cozy town of Hickstead, UK. They would even let him name it - hoping that would entice him. Naturally, since his brother had wanted him to stay out of Grace and Quentin's business (mainly out of fatherly fear that it was a big task to run a business), Tre decided to help them out and thus - Pirate's Bounty was born - a farm to table pub, with a small microbrewery specializing in American Pale Ales and IPAs. He told Grace and Quinten that he would be a silent partner, handing over the money to let them do the work since he wouldn't be around to help - he only wanted updates and communications from them, to which they agreed.
It became an afterthought in Tre's life though, like everything else. Upon pushing fifty though, Tre couldn't help but to notice how everything had been changing in the military. Modern warefare with drones slowly started taking over striking, and while it saved countless lives and unnecessary dog fights, he found himself more and more on the backburner of combat and decision making - being squirreled away to high end projects that didn't always see the light of day. He had become a relic, that even as a highly decorated officer, did not earn the respect of young military officers now - his mouth often getting in the way of full promotion. And once again, Tre got himself in trouble.
Thankfully, he still managed to avoid forced retirement but his commanding officer perhaps got the last laugh, booting Tre to England - a place where most servicemen joked was full of nothing but sheep and sitting around with no action. And boy, they were right. It's only been a few weeks since Tre's arrival but he can already feel the stir-craziness set in against his active mind. Low and behold though, his base commutable from Hickstead, UK, where Tre found himself reconnecting not only with Grace and Quentin, but Zola - a third niece, as well as the ins and outs of Pirate's Bounty. Despite this, Tre finds himself already counting down the days til the end of this two year tour. Little does he know though that there is someone else in Hickstead who may have him rethinking what a hellhole this really is.
