identifying features• Odette is on the smaller side for a young woman at 5 foot 3 inches, often relying on high heels to give herself a taller appearance. She has a very willowy appearance with not much muscle on her bones must to her dismay and a jutting collar bone. Her skin is a porcelain white which only seems to burn in the sun verses tan. She has wide green eyes, and a head of striking dark brunette hair that she has allowed to grow over time and has dyed to have a sheen of red when the sun hits it perfectly. Odette has been known to favor make up - particularly a vivid shade of red lipstick and black khol and mascara along her eyes - even when at the barn.

She tends to extroverted when it comes to people, but will also need time to recuperate as extended periods of socialization tend to exhaust her. Odette does like to tease people - most of the time playfully, but she has been known to have a mean streak - and can easily fall into the mean girl horse crowd at any barn that she joins. Her snobbery is prone to come out when it comes to how people dress, the state or pedigree of their horses, or having to do something beyond brushing and cleaning her horses. She won't deny that she's a basic white girl when it comes to Fall Weather and fully embraces it's meme status. Odette is a hard worker when it comes to anything equestrian related, but tends to slack off outside of the barn. With her friendships and relationships, she knows her bounds and will always be respectful for fear of losing these relationships. She will never be pushy with those who found their way into her heart and will take their side no matter what, even when it's the wrong side.

She grew up with a love for horses from an early age given her exposure due to her adoptive mother's career and lifestyle. Odette found herself obsessing over them and wanted nothing to do with school work growing up - her mind often day dreaming of riding and being at the barn rather than be stuck in a classroom learning life skills. Her day dreaming had often gotten her in trouble, not really making her a star student when growing up.
Much to her mother's dismay, Odette had wanted to become a star rider like her. Seeing the disappointment on Eloise's face, she quickly backtracked, saying that she was mistaken given the issues that Eloise had encountered in her professional career. However, Odette has crossed her fingers behind her when she promised not to pursue such a career, meaning she truly didn't mean it. It was a secret that she would carry with her - only sharing with people she truly trusted to not rat her out to her mother. Horses were not the only thing in her life though when growing up.
She grew up side by side with the daughters of Eloise's good friend Charles Campbell - Lydia and Amelia Campbell. She did everything with them and hung out with them as much as she could. Countless sleepovers and morning rides. As she grew older, Odette found herself growing closer to Lydia. She didn't know why, Lydia was a sour person - often annoyed, cold, and uncaring. And yet, she was found of her and found her attractive. Odette never pushed her as their romance grew, and as much as she wanted to put a label on their relationship, she knew such talk with scare Lydia off, so she remained content with what they had until life had other plans for them.
Odette had found out that Lydia Campbell was engaged to a man. And she did not find out from Lydia herself - her girlfriend, but from the town. She was absolutely furious and felt betrayed, all these times she put Lydia's feelings first and no labels and never forced the tough conversations and here she was being sidelined for a man. Horrible things were said on by both girls, and it led to Odette giving the ultimatum that she never wanted to see Lydia again as long as she lived before storming out. She would keep her friendship with Amelia but as far as she was concerned, Lydia was dead to her.
Her mother had other plans though and told her what really happened. Odette felt guilty but refused to relent that she had been right in the fight. Eloise sided with the Campbell girls over Charles. It wasn't before long that she found herself and her horses whisked away from her home and their fancy barns and relocated to the quaint town of Hickstead. While Odette is doing herself to take it in stride, her bitter feelings still rule her heart, and she finds herself unwilling to be civilized for now when it comes to Lydia Campbell.
