Sabine watched the person spring up from their sad state of a canvas rug like they were a fucking vampire coming out of a coffin. Actually, the young man might as well have been that considering that he hissed at her. Hissed! The teenager thought she had seen and heard it all, but this was new to her. A frown sat on her lips, that resting bitch face present as blue green eyes stared at him. The man was staring right back at her, gaunt and clearly committing her to memory. Despite the ugly cat hissing, he didn't strike her as someone like Daz. Despite the fact that they were now aiming to sleep in the same place, cat man didn't come near her. He remained on his side and she remained on hers.
Blue green eyes watched him closely, his limbs shaking and then he twitched to quiet them. Sabine puffed up, and hissed back at him, pulling up her hands to curl her fingers like claws for added measure. Maybe that was all he would understand. The shaking was weird though, maybe there was a reason why he looked so gaunt then. Oddly, she felt comfortable enough to allow herself to sit down. Sabine was certain that this stranger would leave her alone as long as she left him alone, or at least not enter his space. Still keeping an eye on him, she dug around in her back now before finding what she was looking for. An apple. She had snatched a few from that new safe home and Dahlia. The teenager pulled it out now and held it out to him, "Do you not talk?" she asked now, waving the apple a little trying to beckon him to come take it, "I'm Sabine."
cause everybody knows something i don't wanna know so i'll stay right here cause i'm better all alone
Sabine had been watching this stables a little pain stakingly, after nearly having a close call at Blue Arces, she decided to settle for the other barn in town and already, she could tell it was more laid back, less security, easier to sneak by without some watch tower of a mansion sitting around. Okay, there was still a house, but it was set differently and easier to get by. This was the thing she hated about living in Western Europe, the winters were brutal. It brought out the survival instincts because if you weren't good enough, you'd die. It was the cold hard truth. And not everybody was willing to share. The young woman knew that there was the community house, with it's delicious food, but unfortunately, Sabine was born with a streak of stubbornness that seemed to affect her ego when it came to that place and seeking help from strangers.
Blue green eyes caught movement now - the last stable hand closing up shop and heading towards their car to return home for the evening. This was it. The great thing about horse stables, Sabine had learned since living here, is that they were never locked. It was for the horses own safety, because who wanted to deal with locks when there could be a reason inside that they needed to evacuate large animals? Hedging her bets, the teenager darted across the grounds now, trying to be fast as a shadow as she covered the grounds and made it outside the door of a horse stall. Peeking up into the stall, a horse eyed her curiously, "Don't hurt me," she muttered, as she took off her backpack and gently lowered it into the stall, before scrambling in herself.
She had never been bitten by the horse bug as a little girl, and they didn't exist in the city center of Dublin where she had lived either with her dad. But she had become a quick study since coming to Hickstead, since she tended to invade the barns the most now in winter and based off of her observations, Daz and his gang tended to stick to the city limits verses the countryside. The horse came over to greet her, after first shying away and snorting nervously as she had landed in the stall. She gave it a quick pet, "I'm not here to hurt you, in fact, I'm about to get out of your hair." Grabbing her backpack, she made it to the door of the stall and reached over, freeing the latch so she could get out and then slide the door shut and lock it behind her. No escaping horses on her watch.
Quickly, Sabine made it to her favorite place to hide out and sleep in any barn. They hayloft. It was scheduled for invasion on a weekly or biweekly basis depending on how much hay the horses went through, and lessons didn't start til 9 on the weekends and afternoon on the weekdays, so she did't have to worry about students either. Once up in the hayloft, she found a nice little couch of hay, stacked perfectly to mimic the actual piece of furniture. Slinging her backpack off, she zipped it open and proceeded to pull out her musty ole childhood quilt blanket when she stopped. Blue green eyes narrowed, her street kid senses tingling. Glancing over her shoulder now, Sabine glowered into the darkness, "You better not fucking shank me." She was one to talk, some sixteen year old girl who had a cans of spray paint as a defense talking a big.
cause everybody knows something i don't wanna know so i'll stay right here cause i'm better all alone
There was a thudding of books near the vicinity of her dropped books when she heard a "Oh no, I am so sorry!" Truth be told, Sabine wasn't really sure who was at fault but she wasn't about to go and start to make a scene, "No, it's mine. I wasn't looking where I was going." She informed the floating voice. She had to be fast, she had to scramble to get out of here and back to the safety of her hideout. Naturally, the young woman made the mistake of looking up at the other young woman now, who had managed to collect all of her books rather quickly. Blue green eyes watched as that wave of emotion run over the blonde as she stared at Sabine with her carton of possibly dirt contaminated food. She knew that look. Full of pity, remorse, and guilt. Or maybe she was reading into the look since that's typically what the teenager expected out of people now, "No, no it's my fault, sorry I wasn't looking. Are you alright?"
Grabbing the last of her food, she snapped the container closed and pushed herself up now to standing once more, "I am perfectly fine," Sabine replied. Her words came out a little more gruff than she meant to and immediately regretted it, "Really. It's fine. I swear."Come on Sabine, get out of here. She thought to herself, looking for the opening in a gracefully cutting off the blonde in order to go running for the hills. Maybe she should just lie and say she had to get back to her dorm - unfortunately for her though, she couldn't figure out if Ms. Blonde here belonged to part of the university in any capacity. If she lied that she had to get back to a dorm room, there was a very strong chance that she'd offer to walk her back which required an ID to get it. As she watched the other woman's blue eyes travel to her carton again, Sabine was ready to hedge her bets when something unexpected came out of Blonde's lips: "You can't eat that now, let me get you something else as an apology."
Well, considered her floored seeing as that girl looked like the sort of girl who wouldn't give the likes of her any attention. Guess everyone was full of surprises. Before Sabine could say that she didn't need her pity food, her stomach growled. As much as Sabine hated to admit it, clean food sounded nice, "I mean...I won't say no," she relented now, "But...the cafeteria is closed." And she didn't want to get this girl in trouble with the school or with any weirdos who may have been keeping tabs on Sabine since she had the dumb idea to tag a stupid warehouse belonging to Daz Pricard, "Look, whatever your name is, I don't want to keep you from anything important."
Like always, Sabine Radley casually walked onto the campus of Hickstead University. No one seemed to pay her any mind, with her baggy clothes and her hood up. She probably looked like just any other student verses some little street urchin coming onto campus for food. That was the problem with a college campuses, people could just walk right on in and nobody would know until they started trouble. But Sabine wasn't here for trouble, she was here for food like always. One of the cafeteria ladies took pity on her, an accidental discovery, and since then, Sabine sometimes would show up for a box of leftovers that was going to be donated anyways. Usually, the young teenager hated pity. She didn't need it, she had been living on her own for a year, she was an adult. But she wasn't stupid, she needed food and so far, she hadn't found a job willing to pay her under the table, they wanted a home address, so free food was where it was at.
Despite there being nothing supisicious about her, she still hurried along as fast as she could. With the autumn slowly turning into winter, the nights were getting colder and she was going to have to return to her hideout soon enough. Plus, a few days ago, she had a moment of stupidity and visited a notorious individual, so Sabine needed to lay low for a while and remain out of sight if she wanted to keep her head. With that motivation in mind, her feet carried her quickly across the quad and down the back steps to the cafeteria where she hovered by the door. Blue green eyes occasionally glanced around, watching students and facility pass her by like she was nothing more than a shadow, hardly paying her any attention. The squeak of the door opening besides regained her attention now and dear ole Agnes was there handing her her little box of food, "Sabine, are you sure you are okay with winter coming?" The young teenager nodded her head, "Yes ma'am, I am at the shelter and set up with a social worker." The lie came easily, natural. This was the one annoying thing about food charity, they felt like they could nose into her life but Sabine felt guarded about that, she didn't need anyone to take care of her.
Saying her thank yous as she grabbed the box, she noted her next pickup and wished Agnes a lovely evening before turning around and heading off. Darkness was really starting to set in, and she was in no mood to play aggressive 'find the lie' games with Agnes. She had a place to be and she had to be there before darkness could hide some dangerous people. Sabine had been in such a rush, that she hadn't been paying much attention to basic space between her and people, before colliding with someone, her craton of food hitting the ground, "Shit," she hissed, hoping it could be salvaged as she dropped quickly to the ground to inspect and shove everything back inside, "Five second rule," she muttered mostly to herself. Then, feeling a hovering, she looked up. It was a blonde lady, probably five years older than her, give or take, maybe a bit more but she was still young. Sabine knew she couldn't start anything so instead, she apologized, "Sorry. I should have watched where I was going. I'll pay better attention next time."

Sabine is clever, often needing to exercise her mind which leads her to be expressive in street art and spray painting. While she has been guilty of defacing walls, Sabine does it as a power play to anyone she believes is going to far in their self righteousness or belief of importance, which can earn her quite a slate of enemies. She is clever and always makes sure to cover her tracks when she's somewhere she shouldn't be. Sabine tries to not get cocky, since she doesn't want it to get to her head and make a stupid mistake, but even she can be baited by bullies since she think's she needs to take them down a peg or two and can have a flaring temper. And unfortunately, many friendships or relationships she makes can suffer from a glaring overprotectiveness, since she fears loss. Sabine has felt like she's had to grow up quickly and that she's an adult, but the truth of the matter, she's just a teenager and still growing.
the history
father • Cillian Radley, 52, Gang Leader mother • Summer Rose, 45, Car Mechanic & Parts Supplier siblings • ----- Radley, 14, Little Brother important people • N/A hometown • Dublin, Ireland overall history • Sabine and younger brother were born to Cillian and Summer Rose Radley in Dublin, Ireland. They were not rich nor truly middle class, but they always got by with grit, hardiness, and love. Summer Rose ran a local car garage, trained by her father, where she fixed and updated cars and also ran a side hustle for replacement car parts. Cillian was in partnership with another man, together they owned a construction business and built on small projects around Dublin that gave back to the local community. The Radley children knew that they didn't have everything that their friends had, but they tried their best to not be brats about it to their parents.
As the children grew older though, especially the boy, more food was needed in the house, which meant more money. And it started to feel tight. Unknown to Summer Rose and her children, Cillian began to sell off supplies and equipment to other businesses behind his partner's back in order to earn extra cash when the construction business was in-between projects. Each transaction without getting caught by his business partner, made Cillian confident and eventually careless. Summer Rose didn't question where the money came from, she didn't want to know since it benefit her children and their lives. However, one day, Cillian's business partner caught him in the act, and fired him, and made sure everyone else in town to not hire him. So everything fell on Summer Rose and her business to earn their keep, but her husband's reputation starved her business as well.
Months went by, and Summer Rose grew angry and Cillian did nothing but sit on the couch and drink. The fighting became frequent and Sabine did her best to protect her little brother from the ugly reality that their parents marriage was crumbling before their eyes. Cillian turned to crime and drug running when he ended up in a gang, but refused to get a real job. And perhaps that was the last straw for Summer Rose, so she took her son and left, leaving behind Sabine at her request to try and take care of her dad. It wouldn't take long for Sabine to wonder if she made the wrong choice now, as she half the time her father was gone and the other half he was passed out on the couch. Little did she know that her dad was rising in the ranks and before long, had managed to coup to take over.
So Sabine found herself as a 'princess' per say. She got to know some of the members as her father sometimes brought them home or took her to their bar. Sabine even did her school work there, but she wasn't sure if this life style was truly for her. She still thought of her mother and brother, moved down to Cork and living well off now. To distract herself, she found herself getting more into art to pass the time. Nobody at school would mess with her even though her weirdo status made her an easy target, simply because they knew who's daughter she was. At age fiften, Cillian thought it was time for her to join and perhaps be groomed into a future leader. Sabine felt confident, until she witnessed the first stage of the induction ceremony. She faked her way through the first stage, just to make it to the end of the day, but Sabine also knew this would be her final night with her dad.
In the middle of the night, Sabine packed up her things and left her dad sleeping on the couch. She called her Mom but Summer Rose was uncertain if she wanted to take her, now that Sabine was mildly tarnished with her father's reputation. Hurt and angry, Sabine hung up and took a train out of Ireland, leaving behind her family for good. When she made it England, she turned to survival with couch surfing and squatting. Eventually, she made it to Hickstead, it had ample of space to move around between vacant places and enough horse barns with lofts for her to hide out in for sleeping even during the harshest of winters. A cafeteria worker at the University took pity on her and would pass her food at the end of the day. So Sabine made it her home while trying to keep up with her studies on her own. She's always on the move, not wanting people to realize she was homeless and return her to Ireland or give her some sort of social worker, she also wanted to make sure she wouldn't get any heat from the local gangs either. However, Sabine is a teenager, and her sense of heroism will likely get her noticed eventually.
