Have you ever had sudden cat like reflexes? Or, the urge to tear into some raw meat? What if one day, you can't suppress that urge? Once, a long time ago there were two different groups. Animals and humans, but, what happens when those groups mix together and make one? Your parents try to hide this genetic trait, passed down from generation to generation. You will think it's some strange puberty thing and look it up on the internet and find it's not. It can't be hidden, it can't be changed, you are what you are. Around the age of thirteen maybe a year before, maybe a year after. No matter, in front of humans, no less, you will feel your bones shift and pop. It will be painful and you will have no clue what's going on. Your vision will change and you will attack. You'll feel really bad about that. Don't worry, there will be a place you can go, can stay and not have to worry about murder again.
You are a shifter, you are an animal. Your parents know, and so do you. This trait has been hidden for ages and is still trying to be hidden. What if, the humans find out? What if, they freak out? What if, they find the secret island? What if, they start to kill you off? What about war? You live on an island, unknown to human beings. Want a little human interaction? Don't worry another island not far off where the humans thrive and live, unaware of your secret powers, hidden obsessions. You don't dare give off where you live. But, what happens when some humans decide to figure out where all these strange teenagers come from? Care to join in and find out? You do?
