Each stable differs from the other, so choose wisely and never forget, loyalty is everything... Meanwhile as the stables battle it out, there's trouble brewing at the university. River Bloom could not believe he allowed himself to get talked into this - a physiotherapy appointment. He hated his body for betraying him in front of the boarder who did said physiotherapy, and he hated himself for his past. Unfortunately, there was nothing River could do about that, other than deal with it. As he stood outside of the office though, the man felt like he was having cold feet. He bitched and moaned about this to just about anyone who would listen to him at the barn, fuck, even the horses probably got an earful on how much he did not want to go. And yet, he was here - because deep down, River knew he needed the help.
A deep, heavy sigh escaped him as he stared down the door. Everyone on the other side of that door could see him from the waiting room, standing outside like a bloody idiot. If only he could still drink, he probably could have given himself a shot or two of courage to go inside. Sobriety was annoying like that though, he hit six months clean and couldn't risk it, not over somethings stupid like being chicken shit about a physiotherapy appointment for his battered leg and body. Squaring up, River shoved the door opened and entered, stalking right over to the poor lady at the front desk and flatly said, "I'm here to see Everett about my leg."

Everett had a full day of clients at the practice. People were wanting to get adjusted after the most recent horse show - even his barn days were starting to book up for the week. His mother was busily working the reception desk, passing him the clipboard for the next patient as he led the previous one to the desk for payment.
"Are you River? Everett is right beside you and will take you to the room." The woman knew by talking to him over the phone that he would be a bit of an interesting for an adjustment for both of them. Everett cleared his throat and held the clipboard in his hand. "If you follow me we can get started. I have a few questions." He made his way to the room, leaving the door open for River to follow behind him.
Everett took a wipe and cleaned off the chiropractic table - moving his hand to suggest to River for him to sit down on the table before he took a seat in the chair nearby. "So, tell me about what's bothering you. Did you have some sort of accident to cause your leg to hurt?" The more information he had the better treatment plan he could build.
River followed the receptionist to the room, before she passed him off to Everrett Strome. It was a little odd seeing him outside of the barn. Blue eyes peered into the room now - it looked like the standard, sterile room, although there was a massage table there. Beyond that, it looked like there was a separate room, possibly with strengthening equipment. Suddenly, River felt like this was a terrible idea. He stood awkwardly in the doorway, suddenly feeling like one of his horses, trying to decide if they wanted to bolt for the hills or not.
If he was a chicken though, no doubt it would get out. Somehow. And he wouldn't be a chicken. Sighing, he stepped in now, "Yeah, sure." He moved to the table now, still staring at it a bit wearily now before sitting gingerly on it - as if it might attack him at a moment's notice. Blue eyes soon fell on Everett once more, "Yeah - I had an accident about two years ago. I was jumping 150 m and I fell between the jump and my horse. She might have rolled on me, I honestly...can't remember. I sorta blacked out. But my femur snapped." Whether it was the pain or the fact he was drunk, River couldn't remember, "Anyway, I don't think it healed right - bothers me still. I have a limp. Have a rod in there or something."
