For last year's words belong to last year's language. And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.
Her first hayride experience wasn’t awful. Jaana enjoyed it more than she thought she was going to. There were times she screamed and tried to reach for someone’s hand to squeeze. Thankfully, her group wasn’t too offended by her. It just meant the ride was good if people got freaked out.
Jaana hadn’t been able to talk to Landon for a minute, since they arrived together – and then were separated. His group was before hers, so they barely saw each other before Landon could probably hear her scream over the fog.
They decided to meet inside the barn once their rides were over. It was fully decked out, something Jaana had never experienced before. Almost a bit too overwhelming, but nothing that bothered her. If anything, knowing Piper – it was right on the dot.
She found Landon standing in line for food. She smiled as she walked over. “I think all the screaming I did, made me parched and hungry!” Jaana laughed. “Did you enjoy your ride?”
Landon was quite entertained watching the people he was stuck on the haunted hay ride with. While he wasn't one for horror and gore, it was still a fun experience for him. It was odd for him to be stuck with strangers, though meeting new people was always a pleasant experience for him.
Since he was done before Jaana, he waited in the area where the other wagons would pull up once they were done. He turned himself around as soon as he heard a female scream, wondering if it was Jaana. Landon knew she would be finished soon, turning to find the line for food as his stomach started to grumble. It wasn't long before he heard her familiar voice beside him. "Was that you I heard screaming? I do hope you weren't cowering in fear." He said with concern in his tone. Landon knew she was one to stick up for herself, but he didn't know her well enough to know how she dealt with scary things. "I did! It's not what I was expecting though. Thankfully I don't think anyone heard me gasp. What about you?" He moved over and let her stand beside her while they waited in line.
"What do you feel like eating? Did Piper or Sabrina tell you what they have?" He had an idea it would be pot luck style, which meant there would be a variety of things for them to eat.
