Shopping was always a treat for Mal. There was something about trying on a dress and fitting it just right. She was one to thrift a lot of her clothing, only buying new if needed. In fact, she was in search of a cute dress for the super belated birthday date she had planned for Stephen. She probably didn't think he would notice, but he was worth the effort.
While they had only been on a few outings, there wasn't an actual conversation about them becoming official or anything yet. Granted, she was busy and he seemed occupied with something that happened in his personal life. Mal was curious but learned better than to pry.
The young woman stepped into the vintage store, Dolly's, next to the Book Nook. It was a good mix of affordable thrift to the more high-end vintage pieces. Mal is always knocked out in the 1-a-pound section. But she recognized that it was due to her shape.
She went to her favorite section first and began going through the selections. Mal looked up to see another woman holding up a brown skirt. Faux leather with a gold zipper. "Oh, that's cute!" She commented. "That would look good with some tall boots!"
Tenaya hated shopping - or actually she more thought it hated her. It reminded her of her parents who constantly were nitpicking about her more male oriented fashion choices. Though after her discussion with Violet about her date with Sam - it was decided that she needed a new outfit. Apparently, a flannel shirt and jeans wasn't exactly an outfit she could wear.
She made her way into town, parking her truck near the high street. Someone at the Ranch had suggested she headed to Dolly's. The blonde headed inside, dreading the shopping visit. Tenaya headed over to the skirt section - it was either going to be that or a dress. She flipped through the rack, taking a few seconds to glance at each one. Her eyes landed on a faux brown leather skirt with a belt, pulling it out to get a better look at it.
"Oh, thank you. Are you someone who enjoys fashion by chance? I'm completely clueless and wouldn't mind some help. Only if you have the time though!" She didn't recognize the red head, though from what she was wearing - Tenaya could tell fashion was something she enjoyed. Clothes were just something she wore - she didn't really put much thought into it.
