He enjoys keeping it cool and not drawing attention to himself, unless there are ladies around, then its another story. He’s deeply private though due to his living situation, and doesn’t care to advertise it either unless its with someone he truly trusts. While he is legally an adult, being homeless isn’t exactly something that he’s proud of and he has little trust in the police to leave him alone or do what they think is best. Despite his typical laziness, Zayn is quite smart when it comes to books, history, and local legends – especially given that he’s a historical pirate buff. He’s known to look out for the little guy on the skate park or the pier, and stupidly will never back down from a fight, which has lead into one or two scuffles before. Zayn’s stupidity streak can also run with girls and tends to be on the hopeless romantic side. Some girls just make him down right dumb and protective, even if it’s just friendship, and has also lead into fights with either them or their significant others. Still, he’s only nineteen, and while he may think he’s mature enough, Zayn still has room to grow. Naturally, he took a notion to following his oldest brother around as much as he could, because well, girls were lame in the eyes young Zayn and carried cooties, his sister was no different. Plus, an incident with glitter and tons of elmer's glue was all that was needed to write Ava off for the rest of his childhood. Unlike Dodger though, Zayn didn't seem to have a special skill in fixing things, but thankfully, whenever his toys did break, he knew exactly where to go. As the Blake kids got older, they all got into their own things. Zayn took to skate boarding like a moth to flame, it kept him busy and out of the house while his parents hammered on Dodger and Ava and their expectations. He somehow always escaped it, whether it was because he was the baby or simply forgotten about, Zayn didn't know and he told himself that he didn't care. He stayed out of his parents way and crafted his own life through imagination, and perhaps a little inspiration with the movies. But that didn't apply to his siblings, and Zayn was always ready to collide into their plans. It hadn't gone unnoticed to the tween that his older brother was hanging out with a certain type of crowd at school. Naturally, Zayn wanted to be cool like his brother as well, and tried his best to tag along. But he always got shut out, much to his annoyance. Zayn knew he had to figure out how to get in, how to be of value. It also felt like a way of getting his parents attention. Unfortunately, it worked given that Zayn was never really good at it, not like Dodger. He was blatantly labeled a trouble maker, and though he came from a well off family, his school labeled him as 'at risk', something which he thought was dumb. Neverminded that he only paid attention during his history classes, his grades tanking, and he cut class more often then attended, going to hang out with the skaters he knew and getting a chance to follow his older brother around. Although eventually, Dodger shook him loose too. Zayn never knew what his brother went onto do, but eventually, it had caught up at eighteen, where his parents gave Dodger the ultimatum, clean up his act or get out. Dodger cleaned his act but still left for school, leaving behind his siblings. But Dodger's 'friends' never forgot about him, nor did they forget about his wannabe kid brother at the skate park. Zayn didn't mind stealing and pick pocketing so much, because in the grand scheme of things, he had convinced himself that it was exactly what Indiana Jones did and all of those pirates. They stole for the greater good, right? It felt like he was doing it for the greater good, okay okay, maybe also some of the thrill, but Zayn could play it as he saw fit in is brain. His teenage years were spent no different than his older brothers, minus the cars, and soon that came to a head as well. During his first year of college, his friends asked him to help out with something that went terribly wrong. And while Zayn hadn't done anything, he had been there, and it was enough to rattle him into leaving. His grades, other than history, were awful. His parents were finally getting on his case about scrapping by college, and his so called friends threatening him over what he had witnessed and risking his family in London? Well, that didn't fly either. But instead of being an adult about it, Zayn did the opposite. He dropped out and ran away at eighteen, not even finishing his first semester at college. His sister would probably because, but Zayn was positive that his parents wouldn't. He dropped off the grid from London and made his way through the United Kingdom, and eventually settled in Hickstead and never announced it to his brother. Zayn passes his time now hanging out at the skate park, along the pier, or on the beach. Doing his best to stay out of trouble and out of people's minds.
