She can often be described as brooding, tough, quick tempered, and even cynical by her fellow classmates and former detention mates. Unfortunately, Eva also likes to test the boundaries of rules that are set for her which can put her on edge with the Garnets from time to time along with her desires to remain independent and not rely on their help. She has a hard time juggling her feelings and thoughts, which can also cause Eva issues no matter where she is. Despite this, Eva is ultimately loyal to her new family, and she would be utterly loyal to anyone else who would be willing to befriend her. the history father • Bernard Boyka, 44, Gangster [biological - deceased] mother • Natalia Boyka, 43, Bank Teller [biological - deceased]; Jesse Garnett, 53, Chef [Adoptive] siblings • BRANDON COLTON GARNET , 30, Stable Yard Hand & Fire Truck Mechanic [Adoptive] important people • Ex Friend/Lover - Street Kid, 23 hometown • Manchester, England overall history • Eva was born to Bernard and Natalia Boyka in Manchester, England. They were not the perfect family. Loud, chaotic, and always in some form of crisis - it wasn't the greatest for raising a little girl in. Natalia swears that she always tried her best, but having Eva at a young age made her a mildly immature mother - wanting to have nothing but fun with her daughter, but doing anything that came close to parenting usually fell by the wayside. Natalia wanted to be young, be her daughter's best friend, and anything but her mother. Bernard was no better - gone more than half the time, and when he was home, he had no time for his young daughter - too busy with his own dark criminal dealings. Due to this, Eva was often out getting into trouble. As she grew, she quickly got into the wrong crowds - thinking them better people than her parents when really they were no different. Teenagers that loved to drink, party hard, and do petty criminal activities. It was a way of life, they insisted, a life style that everyone wanted and Eva knew nothing different than that. It beat staying at home, listening to her parents squabble or her mother having some sort of manic episode. One of her friends even taught her how to hotwire cars and take them for joy rides. There was little harm in that, right? Eva wasn't the only one getting into trouble though as she got older though, her father did as well. One day, her father announced that they were moving from Mancester to Hickstead, a quiet little town in the English countryside. A far cry from the urban city that they had. Eva was angry, and so was her mom, but there was nothing that could be done. The move was final, Bernard said, and so they would go. Settling in proved to be difficult. Eva didn't fit in at school - her accent made her weird and undignified, along with her angry attitude. She soon took to hanging out on the streets, meeting the underbelly of Hickstead with its swats of street kids. Eva began to make her friends there - once again getting reintroduced to the world of crime, living fast, and dying young. There was one teenager in particular who took Eva under their wing. She was smitten with them, and they knew it well, using it to their advantage once they realized how adapt she was at stealing cars. It got to a point where they would say go get that car, and she would simply say when. Unfortunately, the police also caught on and one day, everything went to hell. Eva got caught, but not after a high speed chase, and was shocked to find that when she got to her destination for the rendezvous point there was no one there to save her - not even the one who promised her that they would always be there for her. So she got booked and detained, her parents didn't show for her hearing, and after getting processed and into the system, Eva went to trial. Forced to plead guilty, she was sentenced at fifteen to grand theft auto and reckless driving for three years in a juvenile detention center. She would be released six months before her eighteenth birthday, meaning she would be relinquished back to her parents. A year into her sentencing, Eva was given notice that her parents died in a tragic housefire that started under mysterious circumstances. She didn't know how to react to this news, deciding to burry it away for now. In addition to this, due to her good behavior, Eva started to get release into the detention center's community service and rehabilitation program - which partnered with Hickstead's Local Horse Yard Sale. There, Eva learned how to groom, feed, and work with horses. In addition to this, she would clean the yard, the stalls, pastures, and fix up fencing or anything else that may need to be done. This world became her new home, and the one thing that she looked forward to every day when she got to go. Eva developed a knack for horses, they had a calming affect on her and her personality once she realized they fed off of her own feelings and attitude. The horse can be the window to the soul as one corny yard member once said to her. While she was there, Eva somehow ended up befriending one of the workers at the yard - Brandon Garnet. He was older, but nice and willing to put up with her gruff attitude, hardly shying away when everyone else did. Day by day, she would open up to him about everything, and little did she know that would end up providing her a pathway to a new life. As the months were closing in to her sentence being over, and the threat of being released into the system, Brandon introduced her to his mother, Jessie, a warm and protective woman who expressed interest in adopting her. Eva was taken aback, uncertain of what to say or do, but eventually said yes. Once released, she went home with the Garnets to start her new life. Eva kept her position at the Sale Yard, transitioning from community service to a part time employee and trying to readjust back into society with having a new family. Somedays, she's good about it - finding herself truly happy, and then other times, weirded out that a family wanted to take her in and she gets all moody. But that is the life of a teenager. the role player alias • forever age • n/a other characters • the herd |
