Bruce smiled at her blush, liking how it warmed her whole face. "I really like the sound of your family, I can't wait to meet them." He couldn't help but laugh. "Wait till you meet them, your tune may change after that." Though he wasn't too worried, unless one of his siblings decided to try and be stereotypically British, because then he might have to commit murder and spend too much time digging a hole.
"Okay, you make a good point but it's not like I've never proven to you that I have dirty thoughts!" He chuckled again. "Don't worry sweetheart, I know your mind is plenty dirty." Even with Liam in the room there were enough innuendos between the two of them that Bruce knew that Flynn's mind was as far into the gutter as his own. "No, just a McDreamy and McSteamy," He laughed and nodded. Those had been the names he'd been looking for, as McStudly was the name that the young girls used for one of the stallions around the barn, so that's what had come out when he'd be trying to be funny. "Maybe I should be getting a ring for your finger so that they know you aren't single." He hated the term of a woman being taken meaning that they were in a relationship. It was such an old-fashioned term. "I'll be sure to surprise you," He grinned.
He arched his brows playfully at her eye roll. "Well... don't behave too much," He pulled a face. "You could have distracted me in better ways," He chuckled as he wiggled his eyebrows, yes, there were other ways, but now he had her mind only on him, and her own needs. "No you had it right the first time. To me." His brows rose. "You can start by removing some clothing, you're not dressed appropriately." He grinned and tugged at the shoulders of his shirt and then pouted. "And on the day I'm not wearing my Velcro shirt." He sighed as he snapped his fingers, and then sat up enough to pull the shirt over his head and pitching it across the room.
Her eyebrows raised at the laugh, wondering what was so funny about her words this time. "Wait till you meet them, your tune may change after that." Flynn grinned and shook her head. "I doubt that, I bet I'll love them all the more once I meet them." After all, they had brought Bruce up, and everything she had heard of his family, sounded like a wonderful group of people. She was looking forward to hopefully being a part of it, along with Liam. With the lack of contact from his dad, and that side of the family in general, he missed out on a lot. She would love for him to be included in the kind of life Bruce grew up with.
"Don't worry sweetheart, I know your mind is plenty dirty." Flynn grinned brightly, "Glad you know," She teased, well aware that they swapped innuendos back and forth frequently - one's that went above Liam's head for now - she enjoyed the humour of it, even when it got a bit silly. But Bruce always had a way of making her feel wanted, and she liked that. She'd been just a mum for quite a few years that she'd forgotten how to date, and what it felt like for a guy to look at her the way Bruce did. It was nice. "Maybe I should be getting a ring for your finger so that they know you aren't single."She flushed at the words, knowing Bruce was joking, but unable to help herself. They hadn't talked about marriage, and though her first one had gone horribly wrong and she'd thought before she might not want to try again, with Bruce she felt she would.
She raised a brow as he tugged at his shoulders, wondering what he was getting at - if he was about to play a game again. "And on the day I'm not wearing my Velcro shirt." She gave a soft laugh at that, shifting so that he could sit up to remove his shirt, ignoring it's trajectory across the room and feasting her eyes on her handsome boyfriend instead. She ran her hands across his chest with a grin, "And what about your trousers? Are they velcro?" She suggested, almost glad they weren't because she had a feeling Bruce would have way too much trouble with that kind of thing.
"I doubt that, I bet I'll love them all the more once I meet them." Bruce grinned, he hoped that her faith in his family wasn't going to be short lived when she met them, he knew that the Ropata clan could be a little in your face, and that wasn't always a good thing.
"Glad you know," He returned her grin with a wiggle of his eyebrows. He'd like to think he knew her well, but was learning new things all the time, as he'd never accuse her of being predictable. "It's always good to be thrown a curveball every now and then though." He teased. He chuckled when his words brought a new flush to her cheeks, which told him she approved of the idea. He didn't have a ring, yet, but he had been taking to his mum and she had mentioned something about a family heirloom, but wouldn't give him more than that titbit, other than it was something his kuia (grandmother) wanted for him to have, so he guessed he'd have to wait until they were all together.
"And what about your trousers? Are they velcro?" He grinned and laughed. "Could you imagine the scene I'd cause at work if the seams of my pants were held together with velcro?" He had enough problems with Libby's foal pulling at his clothes, but to lose his pants in the middle of a class, that would get people talking. Undoing his moleskins and a lift of his hips had them gone pretty quickly. "Now, where were we?" He asked with a grin.
Flynn smiled in response to his grin - they were going to have to talk that through at some point, about going out to visit his family or something. She knew video calling was an option, and that was likely how he spoke to them most of the time, but she also wanted to see his childhood; where he grew up, the views he described, the beauty of the place, all the animals he talked of - and of course all family. She had time to take off work, so what better reason to take it than a family trip across the world? Liam would be beside himself with excitement, he had never been on a plane before.
"It's always good to be thrown a curveball every now and then though." Flynn laughed softly and nodded, "Alright then, I'll be sure to keep surprising you," She teased, though she really did mean it - she'd try and catch him out every now and then. They were really getting to know each other now, and she enjoyed that, loved the more that she got to know him, the more she just loved him - it was easy to love Bruce. She didn't comment further on the ring, and when he didn't either she tucked it out of her mind. That was not for now, for now the baby was enough of a surprise and a responsibility for her to handle.
She beamed at his laugh, reveling in the sound of it. "Could you imagine the scene I'd cause at work if the seams of my pants were held together with velcro?" She tilted her head as she did try to imagine the scene, "I guess you'd just have to be super careful?" Though perhaps not a good idea when around kids and all that to have worryingly easy to pull off clothing. Flynn shifted again so that he was able to lift his hips and remove his trousers; part of her was impressed by the speed and the grace of which he was able to to do it, but she decided not to comment. "Now, where were we?" Flynn gave Bruce a wolfish grin, noting that she was still a lot more dressed than Bruce and deciding to let him rectify that when he wanted. "I think you were about to kiss me," She said expectantly.
Bruce was both nervous and excited about the idea of Flynn and Liam going to meet his family, though mostly he was excited. He wanted to show her where he had grown up, and the woman who had dragged... brought him up. The nerves came from what personalities his siblings would show to Flynn, and would they make him regret taking her over there, rather than inviting his parents to stay here, with them. Though, them being here was a little more scarier, as at least on the farm in the Crown Range, they had acres and acres of land if they needed space.
"Alright then, I'll be sure to keep surprising you," He grinned, having no doubt that she would indeed keep surprising him. "And I'll do the same." He chuckled. "And by that, I don't mean arriving home with a baby animal." After all, that was the last surprise he had dropped on Flynn, even if it hadn't been planned.
"I guess you'd just have to be super careful?" He nodded with a chuckle. "I think getting called in the Whites' office would be similar to being called into the principal's office, and would be about just as enjoyable." He pulled a face at the thought, and he was sure that other adults probably wouldn't find it as amusing as he found the thought.
"I think you were about to kiss me," He pressed his lips together as he tipped his head to the side and studied her for a moment and nodded. "I think that sounds exactly like where we were." He said with a smile as he pulled her towards him as he sat up, meeting her half way as he kissed her, his hand sliding under her hair for his fingers to play against the back of her neck.
She was looking forward to the idea of meeting his family, at some point she knew Bruce would need to meet hers. She had been a bad child and not been home recently, so busy in life with everything going on. She made a point of calling and texting her family when she could to keep in touch, but she thought it probably was bad of her not to have taken Bruce home yet. There was no reason for it, she'd been happy in her little love bubble with him and Liam and she hadn't wanted to let anyone else in yet. But with another baby on the way, her parents would want to know and she would be proud to introduce them to Bruce - and Bruce to them. "I guess I should take you home too," She admitted with a small smile, knowing he would probably take it all in his stride as he always did.
"And I'll do the same." Flynn laughed softly, raising a brow as he looked to continue. "And by that, I don't mean arriving home with a baby animal." Then her eyes narrowed as she considering his words. "That is a very valid point..." She mused, "Well, it's not like you can't bring them home, just don't surprise me with them at the door?" Though they had already spoken about it before. She didn't mind baby animals, she just didn't like being accosted by a cute face at the door when her boyfriend came home. "I think getting called in the Whites' office would be similar to being called into the principal's office, and would be about just as enjoyable." Flynn gave a laugh at the thought and raised a brow, "It could be quite interesting, being called in like a little boy.. though why can I not imagine that Leo guy giving you a lecture?" She didn't ride but she knew enough about his work to know about his bosses and their general habits.
Flynn's eyes sparkled as she observed Bruce studying her, her lashes lowering slightly as the mood changed. "I think that sounds exactly like where we were." Flynn grinned, pleased that he agreed, and decided not to ruin the moment with more jokes. She reached for him as he did her, her hands resting on his chest, fingers curling slightly against his skin as she returned his kiss, shifting closer.
