LINCOLN HARVEY BRECKAH - 16. paul breckah - 15. important people • his extended family and the family that isn't blood. hometown • hickstead, england. overall history • crev was born and bred in hickstead england. he's a local through and through and while he wants to travel the world and see everything it has to offer, this little town is the place that he'll always call home. it's the place where he grew up with his brothers, in a house that was chaotic and full of boys, full of mess but mostly full of love too. their mother made sure of that. he was the youngest of eight and that meant there was a fairly large age gap between him and his older brothers but that didn't stop him from following them all around as soon as he learned to walk. he wanted to be involved with everything and often trailed along behind them as fast as his little legs could. it was a life of hand me downs and budgeting and needing to get in first so you didn't miss out on the good food but he wouldn't want to change his up bringing for anything. growing up it was clear that he was almost an exact copy of their mother. he had the same nature, the instinct to take care of people and to love without condition. he didn't care that his dad was gone long hours trying to make money for them to survive, he was just happy to see him at the end of the day. he didn't care when his brothers ignored him for their friends or left him behind when they went out. he was just happy to spend time with them when he did. he was the easiest going child because he was happy just to go with the flow of the family. he didn't make trouble when he didn't have to and while he got into the usual amount of trouble for testing the limits, he didn't actively go looking like some of his older brothers. when things changed for their family, it threw him into a 360. he'd never thought that their family would change this way, he thought that for sure they'd be adding to it rather than losing the person who held them together like glue. news of his mother's death came so quick that he felt like it physically knocked the wind out of him. he felt like he couldn't breath from the time the call came through to when they went to the hospital. he can remember link screaming, derek arriving but the rest of the night is a total blur. the weeks that followed were the same. the funeral seemed to fly past and the goodbye they'd been able to say felt inadequate to the person she'd been in their lives and the house felt different, colder and a little less warm. life at home just kept spiraling further and further down and he had no idea how to stop it. his father was drunk most of the time, derek moved out of the house and it was like another loss so soon after their mother. jace seemed to become worse than he had in his life and link was different. the house fell into a state of disrepair and it was hard to get a handle on it no matter how he tried. while he didn't know how to help he did the only thing he could, he tried to cheer everyone up. he tried to be there for his dad, help him with a smile and the same for his brothers. he hid his pain behind a smile because it seemed like the right thing to do. it was what he felt his mother would do and that was what they were missing. their mother. he's spent the last month trying to get the house cleaned up, cleaning up after his father, dealing with the loss of his mother and watching his brothers slowly pull away and break apart and it weighs on him heavily that they might break altogether. that thought terrifies him more than anything because his family is his life and trying to keep up appearances for them leaves him feeling like the world is on his shoulders. not to mention school ... which he's currently starting to fail at. the role player alias • batman's robin age • sometime in the 90's other characters • count em if you can catch em |
