She was dropped off in front of an alley in London, suffering from withdrawal, before they bounced town. She was taken in by the owner of Blackthorn, an eccentric woman named Edna. She raised Phyrne along with her other “daughters” Bailey, Phoenix, Adelaide, and Sybil. Her childhood was a lot different than those of the other kids of Hickstead. While education was normal, her outside-of-school activities were vastly different. Phryne isn’t an iPad child. Edna made sure her girls knew what botany was safe and dangerous to consume, and how to lessen the evils in the world. The practices weren’t evident to Phryne until she was in her pre-teens. Edna thankfully never forced certain practices, but she wanted her girls to be able to live more naturally and have Holistic views. Phryne didn’t get into midwifery until she was helping Edna with a fellow coven member. She fell in love with the idea of offering emotional and spiritual support to expecting families. Phryne hid behind her books to become a certified Doula – only attending university for the midwifery track she desperately wanted to be a part of. She became a certified Doula and Midwife in 2020, and Phyrne has helped countless families in life and death. Phryne still helps Edna and her sisters at the soap and supply store for witches.
