brief history: Harper has always been a very free soul. If anything, she got it from her parents who were musical influences all her life. They were nomadic people before they had Harper and her twin sister, having a gypsy and hippy feel to them. Her parents may have stopped traveling when they raised their kids, but the down to earth soul music and blues never left. Harper and her sister, Farren, were raised in a loving family home. Not much money was had, but their lives were fulfilling. Before moving to Hickstead, Harper, and her family lived in Hyannis, a cape town in Massachusetts. There, she was taught singing by her mother and guitar by her father. Farren wasn’t much of a singer, but it didn’t mean she lacked musical talent. Farren herself was infatuated with African music, so she taught herself the bongos and other various African drums.
Being from a musical family, the Quartet often performed on the streets or local bars to pay the bills and provide for the family. Whatever the Jones lacked in money, had plenty in love and family. Sadly, times did get rough, and the family became homeless when the twins turned 14. Despite their hardships, they believed good would happen to them. The family traveled and lived in their car and performed where they could. Bars, train stations, you named it. The Jones’ believed music healed the soul, and despite losing almost everything, they found other peoples’ happiness was just as important as their own, and that they could give that satisfaction with their music.
The family finally landed in Hickstead two years after their mishaps. They managed to land a permanent spot of entertainment at a local bar, allowing a more steady income. Harper took up bar tending as a side job to add more coins to the bucket. Soon enough, the family had enough to buy a three-bedroom apartment. At 18, Farren and Harper decided to move out from their parents’ apartment and get one of their own. They wanted to experience the independent lifestyle, and their parents had no reason to refuse to see that’s how they were when they were younger.
One day at work, Harper ran into a young boy named Samuel. He had recently run away from home and wanted to expand his musical career. Being one for second chances, Harper offered him a deal. He was welcome to perform at the bar with her and to live with her and her sister, partially rent free. Half of his paycheck would have to be added to the rent. Shortly after Samuel moved in, Farren moved out to live with her boyfriend of a year and a half leaving Samuel and Harper to their own devices. The two have been currently living together for four years. They have their little married couple arguments like most roommates often do. Their idea of a band was a shortcoming, but the two still occasionally perform together at Luna Lounge or a few bars in the city.

dislikes: Cigarettes, girly looking items, chunky jewelry, Anything with a lot of pink
strengths: Singing/Songwriting, Bar tending, can handle her alcohol extremely well despite her size
weaknesses: Advanced cooking, Anything Craftsy
secrets: Doesn't want to be the woman who carries children in the relationship. Would prefer to adopt.
fears: Never being able to sing, Losing her job
habits: walks around her apartment naked or in her undies (often making Sam question why he rooms with her), takes her coffee with a lot of sugar and cream, 95% vegetarian
overall personality: Harper is the complete opposite of her roommate Sam. He’s shy, and she’s very outgoing! If one is not careful, she could easily talk your ear off, which is good when you’re a bartender, and there are a lot of drunk people around. Like her parents, she’s a free spirit with a down to earth feeling. Feeling like she’s been through it all, Harper doesn’t have a worry in the world. She’s kind and warm at work when dealing with customers, but this doesn’t mean she isn’t capable of calling you and kicking you out when you get too loud! Harper’s a dedicated worker, trying to get enough money to open a bar and entertainment. As sweet as she is, Harper does prefer people who don’t waste her time. To her, time is money when at work. If you’re there to chat, make sure you want to sit down and order a few drinks before you start opening your mouth.
She rarely gets mad, but when she does, she’s a force to be reckoned. Harper will kick and scream and throw a few punches if you irk her the wrong way. Luckily, it’s only happened once in her life. Harper can, of course, be a bit opinionated and brutal honesty is her middle name! Of course, this is has brought a few patrons to dislike her, but most of the time, they forget the next morning.

Summer time! Oh yes, one of Harper’s favorite seasons. Not only did she get to fish for beautiful women in their bathing suits, but she also got to fish for the fresh fish in the off the pier and in Carp Lake. Now, Harper did fish in other seasons, but she preferred summer to do the activity. It was a bonus that she had work off today, despite it being a Friday. But since Harper rarely refused to get Fridays off, Jav finally convinced her to take today to relax and enjoy her time.
Sam was currently busy at the coffee shop to go with her, so Harper went alone. Dressed in a deep v teal romper, a maroon bikini, and strappy sandals; Harper tied her red hair up in a bun and grabbed her fishing supplies. Wolff barked around her ankles, wanting to go. “You want to go bub?” she asked. Wolff yapped and bolted towards where Harper kept her bike.
Harper just smiled and pulled her bike out. The bike was a nice bike that had seen better days, but it still worked and got her places. There was a small basket that was the perfect size for Wolff and a boxed lunch. He was used to riding in the basket now. At first, he was a little fidgety, but now he couldn’t wait.
The bike ride to the lake was about 1.5 hours, nothing she couldn’t handle. When she first made the trip, Harper felt like death, often having to stop a bit, but now, it was easy. Of course, if Sam were coming, he would have his driver drive them since exercise to him was like the devil. He avoided it as much as possible.
A warm breeze greeted Harper as she and Wolff approached the lake. There were already people swimming and on their boats. She biked up to her usual spot, a bench that was on a tall stone wall that was off of a walking path that went around the whole lake. Harper locked her bike to the bench, and Wolff was happy in the basket, curled up near their lunches. Hand hooked a worm and soon enough, it was in the water, waiting for a bit. “Oh yes, this is the life!”
