markings: Sabino markings: almost bald face, extra long white on legs

breed: Thoroughbred

brief history: While Nic was bred for his remarkable colouring, with hopes that he would be as great on the track as his sire, and dam before she became a broodmare, but after doing badly on his first two races, he was quickly sold off as a waste of space.

He was quickly piked up as a jumping prospect, which and he took to that like a fish to water, and after having the youngster gelded his owner quickly changed his training from just jumping to eventing - though the gelding seemed to despise the dressage arena - and they began competing around the UK.

Naomi saw him at a show and decided that the young gelding was going to join her string of horses, and with this idea in mind, she went to talk to his owners. It took some fair negotiating, but Naomi left the show with all her ribbons and an extra horse in her truck.

likes: Jumping, rolling after it's been raining, his space, belgium biscuits, being groomed

dislikes: dressage, being cooped up in his stall, soggy hay, being ignored, clippers, farrier

strengths: jumping, making split second decisions

weaknesses: dressage, loading onto a trailer

fears: Claustrophobic - which could be why he never did well as a racer. Fireworks. Cellphones going off around him - so please put your phone on vibrate when you come to the stable.

habits: Searches his feed bin to find his favourite bits first

overall personality: Nic is anything but a push button pony. There's the possibility that he was proud cut because he acts like a stallion when he's around mare's who are in season, so he needs to be handled by people who know what they are doing around strong horses.

When left cooped up too long, or even after a ride to a show, he can act extremely nervous and jigging sideways, though Naomi knows that this is just an act, and she can quickly calm him down. He lives for the show ring and knows exactly what to do to get the judges to look past his unusual colouring.

While he hasn't been known to hurt smaller animals, he will gleefully chase any dogs, or rabbits, that get into his pasture.

He likes his space, and will give anyone who is standing too close without his consent a sharp nip to remind them to remove themselves from his bubble (big horse, big bubble). When he's in a good mood though, and he's happy with everyone around him, Nic is a wonderful horse to be around.[/ul][/size][/ul]

markings: blaze and muzzle, three stockings (both forelegs and near hind), sock (off hind)

height: 16.3

breed: Hanoverian

sire and dam: Dark Chocolate (sire), Winter Dreamer (dam)

siblings: three half sisters

owned by: Naomi Clarke

brief history: Rex's life started pretty simple, that is until he was a yearling and was stolen from the stud farm that until that moment had been his entire world. The thieves didn't quite know how to treat horses properly so a number of the ones they had stolen died of starvation before they could sell them on. Since the young colt didn't exactly have any remarkable markings, he was easy to hide and sell on.

He was discovered at a horse sales by a dealer who was sure that he could turn the colt into something worthwhile and with a lot of careful handling he slowing gained the young horse's trust and then everything seemed to fit into place.

Three years later, Rex was competing at his first show and Naomi's eyes were drawn to the long-legged colt and after talking around, she discovered that he was actually from a dealer's yard and she quickly contacted the man and organised a time to come and try the youngster out.

likes: peppermints, cats, deep beds, wet hay, competing

dislikes: change, rain, people entering his stall after light's out, the farrier (so Naomi decided to leave him barefoot)

strengths: Eventing

weaknesses: Other horses spooking - he'll follow suit not caring what they are spooking at. Having his bridle put on.

fears: mice

habits: drops his hay into his water bucket before eating it

overall personality: Rex is a horse who knows his job, but that's all he'll give you, nothing more and nothing less. He paces around and paws when he's tied up, but Naomi thinks that this comes from his life before the dealer's yard.

He loves playing with other horses out in the pasture, which isn't always taken well since he's a giant stud, but some of the others seem to put up with it, for a while at least, and then he is chased off with warning kicks and nips.

He's a little head-shy and when not handled properly, there's no chance of getting the bridle on as he'll just hold his head in the air.

brief history: Inka is Naomi's pride and joy. She may not have bred the filly herself, but she picked the sire- a dressage champ and dam- a hunter jumper, and she was very pleased with the foal that was produced by the two - super happy that the foal came out dark and not cremello like her dam. While she left the filly-foal to be a foal for the first few months, she was super excited to hear about how the filly's handling was going and as soon as she was weaned, Naomi was excited to go and collect the weanling, bringing one of her school mistresses with her so that the filly wouldn't be in the back of the truck by herself.

strengths: intelligent, quick learner, stubborn

fears: Anything that moves too quickly, sudden loud noises, storms

habits: farts when excited

overall personality: Inka is inquisitive and full of life - as one would expect from a young horse. She never stays still for long, but it still known to suddenly just stop what she's doing, fold her legs and drop to the ground asleep, and then she's up and running again.

She's not slow to show people when she's unhappy about something that is happening too her or around her and will let herself be known with squealing and kicking - and nipping if her antics aren't enough to get the message through.

While young, she picks things up quickly, so whoever is handling her needs to remember this and not teach her any bad habits, as some things are easier to learn than they are to unlearn. She is sweet though and can be handled by nearly anyone who has enough horse-sense to be able to handle a youngster and keep them on track.[/ul][/size][/ul]
