Like everyone else, the commotion had caught Serenity's attention, and leaving what she had been sorting, she headed over in time to hear the conversation between the people gathered there already, as well as the looks passed between and at each group. She closed her eyes as she sighed as she headed back to her car for an evidence bag - a normal thing for an officer to have in their civi vehicle.
She walked back to the group and over to where child and father stood with the offending piece of clothing, holding the bag open for the jumper to be dropped inside. "Before anyone starts pointing fingers." She said in a level voice, looking at everyone standing around. "Just think for a moment. Before this party was allowed to happen, this place was scoured, with a fine tooth comb, Cadaver Dogs and all, and you think that this would have been overlooked?" She paused for a moment. "Whoever left this here went to a lot of effort to try and frame someone, but they didn't think it through very well." Leaving an item of clothing was stupid, yes, it had put everyone on edge, but it had hinky written all over it. She shook her head as she rolled the bag up and taped it closed before writing on the front of it with block letters. "I will need a chat with this Tripp Callahan, in case the top is his. Can anyone who can get my card to him come and see me before they leave, please?" The lad needed to at least know what had happened to his jumper
All the commotion drew her interest and she bit her lip at the scream, wiping her hands hurriedly on her trousers she rushed over to the young kid, worried something had happened. "Is everything okay?" She asked, directing the question to the child and then to the adult with her - she assumed the child's father. As the jumper appeared, her eyes widened slightly, and she glanced up as the potential owner was named and everyone started asking questions.

"It does seem very convenient... he's just there, why can't we ask him?" She knew Tripp vaguely from time spent around the Seven Oak's lot, and she nodded towards the kid in the distance.
tripped hummed along to the music that was blasting through his headphones into his ears. he was arm deep in soapy buckets as he washed soot off the trailers that belonged to the stables. he didn't know how or why he'd been dragged into helping these guys clean up the mess that had been caused by the fire but never the less, he was here and he was working. he dropped the sponge into the bucket as he used his shoulder to wipe his forehead off the best he can as he felt a bead of sweat roll down it. he blew out a breath as he turned from what he was doing to see a small group of people gathered a small way aways from him. he raised a brow, wondering what they were all doing and why no one had told him they were taking a break. he tugged his earphones out of his ears and let them hang over the collar of his shirt as he walked over to the group. it was then he heard his name and he pulled up a little. why the hell were they talking about him? it was then he saw his jumper in unfamiliar hands and his frowned deepened a little. "i didn't think i was that important." he said as he walked over to the group, more than curious about why they were talking about him and feeling the hair on the back of his neck raise with a familiar sinking feeling that he was about to get into more trouble than he was worth. his eyes moved back to the jumper and he almost opened his mouth to say he hadn't seen it in a while but he thought the better. the last time he'd seen it he'd been here at BA switching horses around in their stables as a prank against the barn and it's riders. that wasn't something he was about to fess up to though, at least not yet.
Daz smirked as he sat in his spot and watched the drama unfold. It took no time at all for them to find the offering, for them to gather like sheep, for them to mull over it like morons. He snorted and rolled his eyes, God he hated people, how mindless they were, how pathetic. They all clustered around the jumper like it was an alien, wondering how it had got there and whose it was. The owner and culprit of the jumper looks understandably confused as shit, he wasn't to know how it got there but Daz knew enough that the kid was a trouble maker - easy to pin it on. He gave a low chuckle and then shifted away. No need to watch anymore, he'd get bored soon enough, but they would be busy for hours. Now time to make everything worse. He wasn't done yet, not by a long shot.
Lily frowned as she watched the exchanges, taking a step back as everyone talked over themselves a little, though everybody seemed to avoid getting irate at least. She chewed her lip as Tripp came forward, glancing at the boy well known for trouble-making. She didn't think he was capable of harming anyone, not on purpose... but as she knew with her brother, sometimes a prank could get out of hand. Perhaps he had meant to set something up and it had gone wrong. But she wasn't one to point fingers or judge.
"Alright, why don't me and Naomi collate lists of our liveries and workers, and then give these over to the Serenity, and then the police can pick this up with interviews. I'm sure you need to follow up after the witness statements of the fire anyway, right?" She glanced to the police woman and then Naomi with a kind smile, hoping that this would settle everyone. "Hand the jump over to Serenity, and let's clear up the last of this debris for now."
and that concludes the thread!
